Good morning everyone. Today is our 41st Anniversary! We are off to TPC San Antonio. My wife will enjoy the pool and spa while I get to play the Canyons Course on Wednesday. Other than that, just hanging out and a few drinks and meals.

Thank you and I’ll let you know. I could only get a tee time for the Canyon as the Oaks is closed this week. However, I hear the Oaks is the better course.

They were. Beautiful and sunny (see below) when I arrived at the course around 11:30. Hit putts for a while while the club manager was in a meeting, ducked in to see him and get entered for tomorrow's tournament, went upstairs and got a bite (that Scottish staple, a bacon roll), then played nine holes. And sure enough when I was playing the third hole it started raining. He sent me off solo in a gap in the schedule, but the guy in front of me was also solo, and I caught up to him and we played the last eight holes together. Very nice Chinese gentleman named Kai or Khai or something. pronounced kye, from Beijing. Always good to have another set of eyes on a course like that on a windy day, and Kai helped me out finding my wayward shots. But then I helped him out too.

I played better than I did on Saturday or Sunday, which isn't saying much, and shot 50 for nine holes. Kai left to go to a meeting, I went back to the pro shop and bought a Nessie headcover, a new cap and a dozen balls. I may need those orbs tomorrow if the forecast comes true; it will be nasty.

The rain had stopped again when I finished, and I briefly thought about playing the back nine. But my back only has so many holes in it, it appears, and I decided to save them for the tournament tomorrow.

F&R is on a narrow peninsula. Every time I've played there the wind has blown from left to right on the first four holes, which is then right to left on holes 6-8 (5 is downwind in that scenario, 9 is upwind). Repeated on the back nine which loops around inside the front nine. But today when we got to 6, the wind, although still right to left, was pretty minimal. There are no trees or hills to block the wind, so maybe it was just a few minutes of calm, although it was still raining.

Scheduled for an echocardio something or other type ultrasound later, for now it's light duty and stress reduction tactics.

Anyone who works as a first responder knows light duty is anything but stress reduction!!!  

They upped my dose of lisinopril though. Ugh. 

Good news is it wasn't any type of stroke. So there is that...

My parents keep theirs at 75 and I know every time I visit to wear something cool.   

We've had a week of temps over 100 with 114 being the highest, supposed to drop down to a cool 111 today    building up for 115 on Thursday.  Luckily I will be on my way to Utah to escape for a while.  

Almost lost a couple of chickens on the 114 day, had to bring one of them inside but she seems to be recovering.

Echocardiogram?   If so, pretty easy, basically an ultrasound of your heart to see how it is working.    If they are doing it in combination with a stress test then you will have to walk/run on a treadmill or ride a stationary bike until you can’t anymore and then they do an after ultrasound to see how it works when stressed.

Late good morning fellow spies! Been a super busy start back to the workday after having yesterday off. We ended our long weekend with a pretty long hike for the boys, walking two trails for a total of about 3 miles. The second trail had some steep climbs, and they both did awesome. Made sure to award them with some giant freeze pops afterwards . We bought a state park pass so that we can check out some more as the summer rolls along.

Going to play 9 before league tonight with another one of my former high school basketball players who is back in town for a few more days from Austin, TX. His younger brother is who I played with a few weeks ago at Wild Rock. Great family and both great kids. I'll be playing and practicing as much as possible today as our member/guest event is this weekend and I want to go into it as prepared as possible.

I’m not a doctor (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn recently) but my prediction is it’s a strained ligament/meniscus tear caused by “old man over doing it syndrome”. While this syndrome is not officially recognized, I have filed a trademark so hopefully my future royalties will pay off whatever medical expenses I incur. Hoping replacement isn’t in the cards just yet. I’ll settle for something arthroscopic in the short term.
