I've thought about it over the years, but I never followed through on it. I just don't know what I would get that would mean something to me, and I wouldn't regret having the rest of my life.

 

I toyed with getting the Raiders logo in black and grey tones, since I've been a fan for 50 years....but it's just a football team, and I'm too old at this point...lol.

I don't have one but my son has at least 4 that I know of - does that count? Also my daughter has a 1 very small one (that I know of) on her ankle. I don't have any desire to get one but if I had it'd probably happened when I was in the Navy. My wife complains I'm too conservative.

I have 2 one on the left chest in memorial to all the Firefighters that gave their lives at 911. My left shoulder has a bat and a moon scene that was never finished completely in. A friend of mine was the artist and he was killed by his estranged wife's boyfriend. Other artists that knew him offered to fill it in for free but I declined as sort of a memorial to him

None, guess never got drunk enough when I was at Fort Dix. There weren't any Tattoo Shops in my part of CT when I was young. If you wanted one you had to go to NY or Boston. Glad I didn't they would probably be around my ankles now.

I think bulldog has the lead at this point with 10. I have only 3 but earlier in the year got one expanded to add some stars to represent my family members—I am into symbols so kind of like tattoos. But bulldog is right—they are pretty prevalent these days.

I have zero but I have a decent story about how I almost got started.

 

I was playing baseball and everyone had tats. It rivaled service members. A buddy of mine's cousin ran a tattoo shop on South Beach so I could get a super high quality tat for cheap. I had a concept in mind and was just about ready to pull the trigger.....

 

Record scratch I got an MRI and found out I needed Tommy John surgery. So I got a scar instead of a tattoo. Never came back around to get the tat. I guess the burning need dissipated.

 

Good thing too, because my, now, father in law has a strikingly similar tattoo. That would've been an awkward first meeting.

I never got one.  I had an uncle who got one while in the navy in WWII, and I got to see it when he was my age now.  Never thought that was a look I wanted.

 

It reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode when Lucy and Ricky moved to Hollywood.  One day she managed to get an orange signed by Richard Widmark.  After a couple of weeks, it was unreadable and funny when she tried to say the name.

The 2nd pic is another of my own designs. Had to leave off the hourglass because it was too intricate .

I've two, one is not complete till my one son gets out of the military. Then all three of us will finish or shoulders. I will also have a third I'm designing, themed on my wedding.

I few years ago I met my wife's aunt who was 82 years old.  On her 80th birthday she got a rose tattoo on her shoulder.  So maybe when I turn 80...  Has to be something from Caddyshack.
