Bama got in on literally the same criteria as Ohio state did last year. Except PSU was the conference champ with 2 losses and a win over OSU in that scenario...

I can certainly feel ya pain and disappointment.  I was hoping Georgia would be playing OSU in the playoffs. Since that's not going to happen, maybe you will get to whup some SEC butt in your bowl game. Ya'll can have Florida and have your way with em or maybe Auburn, I don't like em!  It will certainly be interesting to see how the different conferences grade out after all the dust settles.

Florida didn't make a bowl this year. They crumbled a few games into the season.

OSU will get USC in a new years 6 bowl believe.

You mean the scenario saben said shouldn't had happened last year? That's what I hate. Last year they screwed up. They could've put in USC who also won the conference. Hopefully this is the push they need to expand to 8 teams. And also force people to play real opponents not just cupcakes

Really..... it's just college football. The system is flawed. We all know it......... and they know it. No need for bad blood on this awesome GOLF site...lol.

 

There is no reason that college ball can't be run exactly like the pro game, other than money. Play the regular season. The winners of each division play in a "playoff".... simple. Every conference gets to participate. The winners play in the Championship game. So simple, yet, so complicated because of money...lol.

 

College basketball has March Madness. Why can't college football have something similar? It would be a hell of a lot more fair! I'll tell you why........ all the Bowl games would go by the wayside and all the money they make would go too. But, who cares ..... right?

 

It's a lot better to piss off fans across the country in order to make the almighty $$$ with a totally flawed system. Even the committee that runs the damn thing can't/won't follow the rules...lol. College football is a joke!

The system will never be good enough until the power conferences come together and make their own playoff system where the winner of each conference goes to the playoffs - and even then you'll have the independents and smaller conferences complaining.

 

Hell, people complain about the NFL playoff system and that's about as straight forward as it is gets.
