Rusty1885 1,333
It could be the grip. My brother used to have a very strong grip a he’s fighting every thing hook, block or nasty slice be cause he’s steering the shots. He used to be a big hitter and then drop to my distance. On one round he hurt his finger and adjust to much weaker grip and it just clicked. He could release fully and fire the hip through impact. That hole he out drove me by 50 yards where I’ve been enjoying slight edge to his distance and other holes that round he out drove my decent drive by 75 yards and never look back. Now I’m back to be the shortest hitter in our group again.
fixyurdivot 16,548
This was, IMO, a particularly good topic for MGS to have reviewed (and well done at that). A juicy, thick T-bone steak of a topic that every golfer is interested in, whether they'll admit it or not. Let's face it, hitting long drives is embedded in the male DNA. No one gets on the tee and wants to be the ball watching flyovers and first to hit second shots. I routinely try and convince myself not to get into the "long drive" contest. But, seeing another in the group send a rocket down the fairway fires up that double helix and the desire to compete. The advertised 20-40 yards improvement looking more like 10 yards might keep some from playing a non-conforming driver... or would it? Just how many of these are being played do you think? I have to be honest, it's tempting. 3 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review)

cksurfdude 10,346
Looked at that hottestdrivers site. You can send yours in or buy one of theirs .. which includes a G400..... They also "highly recommend" Wilson Staff Duo balls, saying... "These are a low compression ball that will enhance performance and durability on shaved drivers. The lower compression works synergistically with a high COR face." Anyway, just another reason for me to never ever never play against someone for money.
