What's your take on purchasing used clubs?

Not my thing but you can get some good stuff, a friend of mine will straight trade gear to different people every couple of years and always seems to get some gems. I suppose it comes down to having a discerning eye.

If cost is an issue it’s buy a used set and get the loft and lie adjusted at a local fitter. They typically don’t charge as much as full iron fittings and it will help. Won’t be ideal but helps a lot

Some good finds can be had off eBay, and retail stores . A few of mine have come this way and not my bag

I have a tendency to buy last years model at a reduced price. You get newer, unused equipment with the manufacturers warranty.

I do buy my putters used. I can’t see any reason to buy a new one when most are gently used anyway.
