Good Monday morning all!

Had a nice weekend with the kids on Saturday as my wife went to a yoga retreat which was fun, the kids did some sledding in the yard which is always fun. Yesterday turned into a busy one with a couple of friends coming over and kids getting to play with some local friends it was a blast. Also made a delicious tofu noodle dish for dinner. Diving into another busy day with kids skiing this evening, but wouldn't have it any other way.

Good morning Spies!

After a busy start to the weekend, I set aside yesterday to assemble the garage sim kit.  That was progressing until I discovered four poles missing.  So I sent an email for a refund and off to Lowe’s I went.  No biggie.  After returning and cutting the poles to size, four (!) corner/elbow pieces missing.  Man…

This is a customer service opportunity for the sellers.  

I punished balls at the range for three hours to take out my frustrations.   It was a good session, except for driver.  Balls kept falling off the tee on my downswing because the mat would slide.  Man…

Anyway, I hope today is better than that for everyone here.  Fairways and greens!

Good morning! So far no one else in the family has gotten sick, but it’s another stay home day because the kids aren’t welcomed back at daycare until tomorrow. So I’m going to be playing dolls, legos, house and maybe squeeze in a few chores.

Good morning Spies,

Enjoying my morning cuppa with the sun shining on freshly fallen snow. It will be a bit too cold and snowy for an outdoor run today. So the treadmill it shall be. It was nice to see a shaft testing opportunity this morning. That one will be a good one to follow. I won’t have an opportunity to to hit the indoor range this week. We will be heading to California for our son’s wedding. We are most excited.

Good morning, golfers!  I layered up and played 18 yesterday and it took me until the 13th hole to remove my warm vest and gloves.  Even though it was chilly, I still enjoyed the round.  I picked up a used Ping G425 Max 3 wood to match my driver and really like it.

A Cool, Cloudy & drizzling Presidents Day Morning in Central Florida.  Not to mention 51 degrees, brrr! All this rain, no golf today, course will be cart path only when it opens later today.  Rain should subside this morning, so going to walk 18 tomorrow morning.  Trend across America, after reading the threads, it's cold! 

Finishing up 2nd cup of Espresso.  Going to work from home today, although many companies will be closed for holiday, so a catch up day!

And this, folks, is why I ordered the Spornia net. Which should be waiting for me when I get home. Supposedly the Spornia is pretty much idiot-proof, but we shall see if it's built for my brand of idiocy.

Good morning! 415 wakeup, chest workout done and out of the way. I was up late last night trying to cram some overdue projects in (did not finish them), and I'm pretty beat this morning. Two cups down and several more in queue. Finishing up those projects today and then preparing for baseball practice tonight. I head down to Miami for a work conference tomorrow afternoon, but I haven't really prepared anything at all for it and I bet tomorrow is going to be a scramble. Wish me luck as I try to check all the boxes and miss as few as possible in the next 36 hours! Go get some and make today great!

Good morning all!

February vacation for the kiddos.  Cold but sunny so hopefully I can get them outside to burn off some energy soon!  

Sounds like it will be a good week to keep the putting mat setup since they seem to enjoy trying to get some perfect putts.  Hope everyone has a good start to the week!

Good morning spies! Mid 70's for the round this afternoon and nothing but sun all day! My trip to PXG yesterday was less than memorable. My fitter was lets say not very knowledgeable with his shafts and we wasted a lot of time putting stuff that did not and would not work in my hands. The final verdict? I did not win the 100 gift card. Their parameters were if they could beat my club in any way I don't win. Their driver beat mine by a whole three yards, the length of my golf cart. And, I was not impressed by the Black Ops drivers at all. They have, to me, a dead face that produces a flat clunky feel when the ball strikes it. 

We established early on, while I was in the parking lot stretching and swinging my Orange Whip, that an increase of say 4 yards is, with reference to actual driver distance, a negligible amount. He started to poo poo that until I pointed to the start of the back wheel well on my Colorado, and told him from there to the front of the truck. That is four yards. His response was "oh, well that is not much of an increase is it." I probably should have saved that conversation until after the fitting. I might have gotten a little better service. Ah well it was fun anyway.

Good morning, and welcome to another week of work, and for most of us another week of cold non-golfing weather.

It's a bit nippy here this morning at 26*. But the sun is shining bright, so it's all good. Gonna hit 61* on Sunday, so I might need to see what ranges are open and possibly see if I can work some kinks out from the cold hibernation.

Nothing special on the books this week, just a regular week ahead. Granted, now that I saw that, something crazy will happen.

Anyway, everyone have a wonderful start to your week.

Good Morning Everyone, hard to believe we are on the downside of February, and the tail end of winter.  We got probably our last and only 2nd snowfall of the year on Saturday, only about 3 inches and was mostly gone by Sunday afternoon. 

Got a busy week at work ahead, but hoping to get on course or the very least the range with some more 2024 Driver Shootouts.  One big thing I'm waiting on is a Graphite Design shaft with an All Fit adapter coming from Will Peoples so I can test all the heads with my preferred shaft.

Good morning fellow spies and happy Monday! Going to have a shorter than normal work day today as I will be picking the boys up from school at 3:15. My dad normally gets them Mondays, but he has a really big project at work that needs to get completed so he's tied up with that today.

Our backup childcare plan is my MIL, but she is currently on a little casino trip with her sisters that my wife and I set up for her as a birthday/retirement celebration and surprise. She's also currently WAY up at the slots, if anyone is curious  she's one of the luckiest people I know!

Hoping the week goes fast as we are going to see Blake Shelton in Milwaukee with a big group of friends Saturday and I am really looking forward to that. Also just found out yesterday that Dustin Lynch is one of his opening acts, which was not announced yet when we bought the tickets, so I am even more pumped as I am a big fan of his as well.

Wrapping up my Monday morning short story, was thrilled to see Will Zalatoris play AND play very well at the Genesis this weekend. He is one of my favorite golfers on tour to watch, and it was tough to see him battle the injuries he dealt with throughout parts of the last two seasons. I am hoping he can stay healthy and stay competitive this season. Just really enjoy watching him play.

Weather has been weird - it's been raining in the dry season and dry in the wet season. I feel bad for the snowbirds and those that decided to visit Florida this past weekend. Not only did it rain most of the weekend, but our courses are cart path only today. Men's group golf was cancelled early this morning but a handful of hardy souls, mostly northerners or Canadians decided to play anyway.

Good morning golf spies, hope you all are doing well.

It's been a few days: we traveled to Georgia, and I had a tee time over the weekend so I did get to play, but as is usually the case with a second house the tasks that presented themselves have kept me pretty busy.

In two days I've pulled the plumbing from one sink and cleaned it out so it will drain, replaced a faucet in the kitchen, remounted an outlet in the ceiling in the garage that powers the garage door opener, replaced the solenoid on my ATV, fixed two fences, moved about a half a cord of wood - the fire is keeping the house warm in this sub 30 degree weather - and today I'm prepping to make a long overdue beef wellington for dinner.

I don't play when the weather is this cold, yesterday was warm enough for the range and Friday was good enough for a quick round, but it will be tomorrow before I get back out to the course.

While I'm thinking about - thanks for heads up on Aces and Pins and Par Hopper @Erin B, they have some interesting stuff.

I'll get low 50's tomorrow, that will be enough to get me out there.  I've lived in Florida for 50 years - I can take cold and snow but it's hard to play golf in it.  My body gets a bit creaky when it gets too cold.

Back to work after a fun weekend in CT for the wedding. My wife and daughter decided to hang back to spend more time with their niece/cousin for the week so it is just me and the dog for 4 days. Going to try and use this time get some painting and other chores around the house done.

Good morning all,

Finally made it back to Chicago around 3am this morning after a nightmare travel day. Was a great weekend celebrating my sister, but having to work today is not ideal. I'm basically running on fumes at this point.

Missed most of the golf yesterday but was great to see a battle on such a great course. 62 by Hideki was incredible! Well-deserved win, for sure.

Big pot of coffee will be in my near future. For anyone off today, enjoy the free time and for anyone golfing, I envy you dearly!

Good Monday Morning Spies!

Bit of a chilly start to the day, however, slated to reach mid 60's this afternoon and move into upper 70's and maybe even 80's mid-week. Really nice for this time of year so no complaints although a little windy.

Finishing up final cup of coffee while getting ready to finish up projects/chores started yesterday. Hopefully can get them all finished early enough to get a range session in today as well.

Down here you can tell a native born Floridian from us transients. When it gets below 60, even with no wind and sunshine, the native born will be wearing parkas and mittens.

Happy President’s Day!

I am off today (which is good), daughter is visiting and the sun is out. With the breeze and sun, the snow is quickly evaporating. Probably get out and hit a few later but the balls are a little on the “hard” side - or maybe it’s just my imagination. They all feel like Topflite to me in this weather.

Good Monday Afternoon MGS!

Well this week has started off interesting here in the household. Wife is down with some sickness. She has a fever and is resting up. Kinda came on fast since she was feeling fine yesterday and was running around town. Anyways, I am now on nurse duty in addition to the normal work day (no holiday for me).

Watching the snow melt around here and listening to the sounds of an early fall outside. Should be golfing weather in no time!
