Good Morning & Happy Saturday!!  
Out early with SWMBO and Crazy Cat Ladies. There are young Feral/abandoned cats that need to be trapped & neutered, shots and examined and hopefully find homes for them.  If they can’t be socialized returned where they were trapped.  We caught one this morning and off to the vet/shelter.  A big gray cat is smarter than us and would not go in the trap.

Happy Birthday to @ZJeb67 today, to those in the @Josh Parker household this weekend.

With poor weather yesterday and today, nothing in my plans for today except to do some things around the house indoors.

Supposed to improve tomorrow, and I will have free time then to visit the range and practice putting green.

To those playing, may the scores be low, and the fun factor high! 

Hope all the Spies make their days the best they possibly can be.

Good morning MGSpies on a quiet colder Saturday with brilliant sunshine and still air, hot tea this morning in the mug and getting ready for the family band rehearsal to be ready for Monday's Open Mic with more new numbers than the others.  House jobs today and tomorrow before the week kicks off with a tournament Monday (so you can see it's going to be a busy Monday!) 

Great to see @Javs trip is underway, so many birthdays for @Lefty11 @Josh Parker @ZJeb67 - and don't forget to celebrate one day for each year which should take you well into October...  Grateful for everyone sharing real life, it is a gift.

Still sorting out my music, hope golf is a part of your day!

Top of the pot spies .  Plan to spend the day going through my LP collection and spinning some through the vintage hi-fi.  We watched a couple of those "Album" documentaries the other day; Steely Dan and Fleetwood Mac.  I went to look for those in the stack only to find they were gone .  Somewhere in the moves from WA to MT to AZ, they (uh-hum, not pointing fingers) found there way into a garage sale .  I'm pretty certain I had a "no touchy, not for sale box".

So, I'm on the hunt this weekend for several albums; Aja, Rumors, and Hotel California.  There are others MIA, but that's a start.  Interestingly, I have an Ann and Nancy Wilson signed "Little Queen"... that would cover the cost of many replacements but it's going nowhere.

The weather cant make up its mind.  We get a few drops and the clouds look heavy.  Then it stops and brightens up.  I have an outside project on tap but dont want to get there and have the tools out and get in a downpour.  So i putted for a while instead!

Was up early cause our small female pup can’t sleep past 615 in the morning. So I got up with her and turned on the Good Good major they did. Now the wife and I are out to get breakfast and figure out what we are doing today since it is supposed to rain. No golf today. Hope everyone has a great day.

Going to spend the majority of the day watching CFB since 100° and humid is not my jam. The whips are HEAVY and the weight is all the way down into the ball. Swing it easy to start with if you are not currently in some sort of weight training regiment.

Bicep triceps work with fast snappy movements will make sure you cannot hyper extend your elbow with the whip. But, it is heavy enough to also affect your shoulders so you need to add lateral and front raises along with reverse flyes and lat pulls to make sure you don't hurt your shoulders and back.

Good morning spies. 

A bit colder than I expected here in the Chicago suburbs - under 60 right now. I'm supposed to play 9 holes this afternoon with my dad and then a par 3 course tomorrow with friends and 12 year old kids. I haven't been on the course for a few weeks and I've been working on a pretty major swing change that has me a bit nervous. I decided to finally try to make the changes to fix my too frequent pull hook issues and of course now I'm leaving everything out right. We'll see how it goes! 

Also I'll need to adjust to playing with some extra layers. The golf season is too short here.

I'll definitely be following the Tour Striker testing. I have the smart ball and I'm always wondering if some of the other training aids are any good.

I am not a coffee drinker but I wouldn't consider Starbucks snooty coffee.  There are really snooty coffee drinkers that have to have the water temp perfect, french presses, and specific bean grinds, burr grinders, scales to weigh the coffee amount, filtered water, etc.   Starbucks is just overpriced coffee

After my fitting on Thursday I believe a lot of that distance is these new fangled golf shafts.  The one we put on the driver I am getting costs the high side of 500 bucks but gave me an average of 25 yards increase. My swing speed did not change between different shafts but the distances changed a lot.

Back to school week was a success. Enjoying a quiet weekend and looking forward to several rounds this month. In the interim it’s some reading time while my daughter is at ballet class.

Good morning, Spies!!!

Happy Saturday!! It's a beautiful fall morning here. Sun's out, light breeze, temp in the low 60's with a high of mid 70's. Gorgeous day to be on course. I'll be on tomorrow morning at this time, probably on hole 3 by now.

Working on some small projects today, and hoping to get the net up in the garage for some light practice before tomorrow's round. Just really need to work on my swing and break out the Hackmotion and the Me & My Golf app and work through some drills. Simple and not overly complicated, and definitely not a 100 shot slog-fest.

Anyway, not much else happening here. Everyone have a fantastic Saturday!!!

Doesn't everyone?  My Ratio 6 coffee maker is basically a pour over that allows a bloom and regulates its own temperature but precisely measured beans from Verve and Intelligentsia, an excellent burr grinder used just before brewing and filtered water are absolute musts if you enjoy coffee. I use grass fed, free range cream as well. Can't get that at Starbucks.

Good Saturday morning Spies!

It's going to be a gorgeous weekend as we are on tap for some of the nicest weather we have had since Spring this weekend. Well FedEx did it again yesterday and got lost in the ozone of the D/FW area... Don't understand their propensity to screw up delivery when they get into the 20-30 mile radius but they are the world champs... Finally received notice that my driving iron is out for delivery again today in the late afternoon.

Happy birthday @ZJeb67, hope you can get some golf activity in.

Hope evryone has a great day and gets the opportunity to enjoy some golf activities!

Another early night of sleep for our household, but feeling plenty rested today. Wife and I are both on the mend from whatever sickness we're dealing with, but have decided to pass on going to Notre Dame for the day. Probably for the best, so we can take today easy and try to get back to feeling 100%. Will be rooting for the Irish from the comfort of my couch instead.

Went to the PGA Tour Superstore yesterday to see the new P7CBs in person and hit a few shots before my fitting tomorrow afternoon; didn't want my first exposure to the clubs to be at the fitting. Will be headed to the range this morning with a buddy of mine to continue to work on the swing changes and get some more practice in ahead of my round tomorrow morning.

@Northern Monkey glad to see the pup is on the mend!

Good morning! It’s afternoon here, but we’ve had a busy morning! I got my exercise in and then started to put things away around the lake. Then the kids wanted to go fishing so we found some worms and went out. It was pretty cold and windy, so we didn’t stay out long! On the way back the kids were hiding from the wind:

Now it’s lunch time and then it’s back to putting lake things away. I’m also planning to start sanding the old paint on the deck so we can paint the areas that we didn’t replace last year.

As much as I am not a fan of mid-West deep winter, my Limey complexion wouldn't survive long in Arizona! A few of week long work visits to Yuma in spring and Fall were plenty hot enough! So far I've managed to avoid mid-summer Yuma visits...

... I hear ya, the desert ain't for everyone. But fall/winter/spring is just perfect golf weather and worth the trade off of silly hot summers. I would much rather deal with 115* in the summer with sunshine than 15* in winter, dreary gray skies and leafless trees that in Chicago always looked like 5 months out of a Tim Burton movie.

I know my team has had some bad press.  But I’m watching currently, and they swapped in a QB that they use for running who knows what, usually a QB… if I know that this guy is going to run, it is highly likely that the opposing coaches know this too… so why in the world would you put thin in when you had 3 yards for a 1st goal…
