The way he shapes shots Augusta National fits him good. He can flat play as long as he is putting good. He seems to be relaxed and focused which is always good. My two picks are out of it Patrick Reed did not make the cut and I don't know what Harris English is doing

Just watched the post round interview and Bubba said he didn't even remember the last couple holes and was just trying to hang on. Absolutely fantastic.

While it was not exactly an exciting finish, it was tense.  At any second I felt like Bubba could launch one into South Carolina, and Jordan never put pressure on him on the back 9.  Bubba held on and made good shots.  He played well.  Congrats to him.

Rooted for him on Sunday, really "displeased" with masters coverage pre-round. Jardan this, Jordan that, Augusta memebers pick Jordan to win.....  Dont get me wrong,  Jordan Speith is a Baller and his time will come BUT Bubba, have to give him some credit,  He played his @$$ off......

Yup. Bubba flat out played and won hands down. It was far more exciting to watch his win two years ago in the playoff of course.(I always love a playoff) But even though this wasn't the dramatic finish, walking to the last hole with a 3 shot lead, he deserves credit for out-playing the entire field. It's not like he won by one fortunate shot or someone else making a single mistake.

 

But Jordan was impressive, especially for his age. To do what he did under that pressure...he's going to be fun to watch for a long time.

It was a great win for Bubba, he made the back nine boring which is hard to do, no fun for us, but great for him.

 

Could someone explain how they redid the course so that you couldn't drive it to where he did on 13 and he drove it there? 

 

He drove the ball ridiculously well the entire day and then managed his game beautifully after that.  Oh and his putting was pretty good too.

Would have loved to see the Mechanic win, but my wife summed it up well yesterday when she said no way in hell are the old boys at Augusta going to put a green jacket on a guy with a pony tail.  As soon as she said that I had visions of Happy Gilmore getting run down by a VW Bug!

Bubba is a different man than he was two years ago.  I am watching his interview on GC Morning Drive and he has grown up.  I thought he should have never been in that situation to hit the miracle shot two years ago, and was lucky to pull it off.  I would not have placed money on him every winning again.  His win earlier this year, I thought he was done for the year.  Or two.  He could have been the guy who hangs around with tremendous talent and wins a tourney or two every year (Sergio Garcia) but got lucky and won one major.

 

Sunday, watching the back nine, and knowing at any second he would blow up and did not, I began to  think he had changed.  Yeah, he still hits the driver when perhaps he should not, but this was not a lucky win. After watching his interview today, i would say he has matured greatly in two years.  Fatherhood, will do that.

 

I know think that not only will he win another tournament, but a major or two also.  Luckily, I still have 10 picks left for him on Fantasy Golf.
