Surprised by a couple names left off the US side.

But she has to pick who's playing good.

Team Europe looks strong.

I like the fact that the more well known names were passed over for form. Get some young blood in there that's hungry to prove themselves, that's been a great formula for a win throughout the history of golf.

There were a couple of surprises on the US team this year, but those girls are hot right now.  I completely understand why she did it.  Hopefully she'll add Creamer and a few other vets as Asst. Captains or something so they will still have a role in it.  This is one of my favorite events on the women's tour, though.

In my bag:

Callaway Epic Subzero with Aldila Rogue Max 75 Stiff shaft

Callaway Rogue Subzero with Project X Evenflow 6.0 75g stiff shaft

Callaway Rogue 3 Hybrid with Aldila Synergy 60 HYB stiff shaft

Callaway Apex irons (4-PW) with True Temper XP 95 stiff shafts

Callaway MD3 wedges (50/54/58)

Since the American ladies are play against Europe and not Asia in a Presidents Cup version, I am looking forward to watching it.

It might take a USA/Euro combo team to compete against the Asian girls

She should have played better!

I like the approach that Inkster took, I think she kind of did the opposite that a few of the last USA Ryder Cup Captains have done, by going with the long time vets who hadn't played well enough to win, but got on based on years of experience.

i think there is a enough experience on the top end of the team for the USA, to give some of the bigger hitting young women a try.

I agree with you.  While I don't suspect that Paula has a bigger fan than I, her current level of play did not support her inclusion on the team.   I was also glad to see the Mrs. Inkster was not unduly influenced by the broadcasters or their sponsors.  She put together a team that she perceive to have the best chance to win, not necessarily the most popular to an audience.

Also and I don't' want to sound like an old fuddy duddy hear.  Well I am old, but certainly hope not a dud!!

I would love to see he women give up on the ribbons and face tattoos.   I know, I know it's supposed to show Patriotic spirit.  But you can certainly do that as Julie Inkster said, by wearing Red on Friday, White on Saturday and Blue on Sunday.   Too me, that something you'd see in a girls junior golf tournament.

Yesterday for example, I really enjoyed watching the Women's Open Championship, and yet they were all bundled up in rain suits and hats.  But they just looked like real serious golfer (which they absolutely are by the way)

A lot of these women and young women, are very attractive and there is nothing wrong with them doing whatever (within reason to showcase that) but the ribbons and face tattoos are just so juvenile,  to me anyway.

This looks like it's the US's to lose, but it's hard to say. What's more interesting is the second guessing the captains are leaving themselves open for with some of their exclusions, especially Inkster. Hope for some good matches and performances though.

I think the US is in some trouble, the US looks good 1-5, but the Euro's look good in the bottom part of their lineup, I think Ernst was a good pick, but does anyone even know who Angel Yin is, I watch the LPGA a lot, and I have never ever heard her name. I think it could be good, but we've (USA) got some players that can struggle in these formats at times.
