I got mine yesterday. It's definitely the fanciest box I've ever seen for golf balls. However, the actual ball markings don't seem consistent with the box. They remind me of Top Flight. The looks are all I can comment on now as we've got snow on the ground at the moment. Will try to add my thoughts once I get to take full settings.

 

 

 

 

 

Another box on the stack. I'll never use all of these. Luckily, I got much better about keeping balls in play this year.

You will really like those elixr balls. I got a trial sleeve and had a friend get a trial sleeve for me and they flat out perform. I shot some of the best rounds of my life with them.

They have what they call heavy particles in the outer mantle which helps with a riffling effect like the metal core ball. They do go really straight and stop extremely well on the greens. I have to do some more head to head testing against the tp5 which I found to perform really well. Sucks bc I just got 6dz 2015 b330-rxs balls.

Thanks. That's good to know. If I shoot the best round of my life with these, I'll be in the coveted 70's. I play a lot of different balls and will try to stick with whatever gets me below 80. Never been down there but the ProV1 has gotten me close twice.

What would be the deal breaker for me is how they sound and jump off the putter and on close chip and runs like with an 8 iron. The noise off the driver I can handle

I got a free sleeve last summer and they seemed to play very similar to the MTB.

The Caliber is the hollow core version, and that's the one that has the wonky sound. The ELIXR has a solid synthetic rubber core - don't think there will be any sound issues there.

As fate would have it I stopped by a golf shop after church that I do a lot of business with. I traded him out of an older Adams 22* hybrid with a Pro Launch shaft. Now he has lots of used balls different grades etc. I just happened to look in the $4.95 per dozen bin. Saw 2 On Core Elixr balls on the top. Dug through the stuff and found several Snell MTB and Get Sum balls got those too. Finished out the dozen with some MG Tour C-4 balls and one MG Senior which is non conforming. I asked him WTH? those balls were in great shape. He told me if he put them on the 9.95 a dozen bin people will not buy them because they are not one of the big 3 brands. So I got some balls to hack around with and try cheap

If you can't help yourself, a $5 dozen is still a really good deal.

 

I have an eBay auction closing tomorrow night so I'll probably take some of that PayPal money and give this a shot. I've never played Draft Kings before and now seems like a good shot.
