Gym work outs and my shoulder are feeling great. Losing weight going not so well. Was 199 a month ago and now I'm 212 :(. The more I'm getting range of motion back and able too lift more . The more I'm starving when I get home and I'm eating everything . I was going to try an online weight loss program. It costs $500 for 8 months. This gives you daily email contact with the instructor and an dedicated diet just for you

Think I should try it ?

Some gyms have that for a lot less with you going to the gym often I would check there first.

With a little bit of research you can prolly make up your own plan for free. I did by just tracking my macros and adjusting things to fit my day

I agree with the guys who are writing you could do it yourself or find it for the less.

The question is though, will you?

If you won't and you like the looks of this plan I would ask, isn't dropping 30 lbs in 6 months worth $500?

I'm on the not losing weight bandwagon right now.  I haven't exercised as much as I should and haven't been eating the most healthy either.  Need to get back on the program..You know you need to lose weight when your belt buckle is perpendicular to your belly and parallel to the ground...LOL

Found a recumbent bike at the Thrift this weekend. Cost me $15 and then another $12 for a new power cord.  Have to wait till my son is back from a trip to help me move it to the basement work out room.  Powered it up and it works like new.  The phone app is good but it will not give me a 6pack in 30 days that is for sure.  I have managed to bring my weight back to 185 though.

I took the easy way out. Signed up for the $500 program. The individual attention they give really drew me in . They do a weekly Skype call / unlimited email communications / and a diet program around your age -and abilities. Won't be easy , really got attached with junk food after all the festivals and get togethers this summer so far

and it's only $500. Even if I lose a dozen pounds it will be worth it.They show all of these pics of men and women before and afters. I told him that doesn't bother me, I just want too lose that gut

Keep it in the short stuff

Update. I just got done sending a side pic and front pic of my body (stomach on up).Its amazing from all my lifting my body never showed a ton of muscle mass.Im just big in the chest - arms - and leg calf area. Not a lot of muscle tone, just big looking.Hopefully a big controlled weight loss will bring out that muscle tone under those fat layers. There has to be some kind of muscle under that. Or I hope so hahahah

Everyone can lose weight and get healthy.Which will lead into a longer and better lifestyle for so many.Getting muscle tone is a genetic cycle than many don't have. Some people are just naturally powerlifting big looking. While others always look toned and extremely cut and muscular.Your body style is probably more of a powerlifting look. But don't worry , doing a correct regimen diet will loose a gut and trim you down.Plus have a qualified trainer observe your workouts. You might be lifting for mass building only versus sculpting. For example.' The triceps alone have 3 major heads. You might have been only focusing on building one of them your whole career.Which will just lead too a bulky undefined tricep. One must train all 3 for sculpting

My Dr was very pleased with my progress. All Labs were terrific. And that I was able to not gain over the past month when on vacation and no exercising. In addition, she wants me to monitor my BP daily as she thinks I may be able to dump the BP med as well.

Best luck with this program. Sounds somewhat similar to mine except that my health plan footed the bill for me.

I love having access to the trainer. She is very helpful. I've learned a lot. She challenged our group to drink two cups of water before every meal this week. I've been doing that. The only draw back is that at 61 it means tons of visits to the John. 🤭

Perhaps it was a secret plan to get extra steps in.

your weight loss was an inspiration. I received my program back today and was really overwhelmed . I've taken golf lessons and had complete swing changes. But never felt as overhwhelmed as I did today

He recommends I go too the gym only once a week and hit more core areas. And go into “ I call it quits with an exercise. Which basically means very light weight doing it until your arms fall off in feeling. The diet itself is brutal , it's all in tiny ounces . No ice cream / pop or chips were on the plan . The first of it is a four week boot camp jump all in program . I'm going to wait until Monday . I'm a little hesitant at being 50 taking a major diet like this .

I made it a day and half in the extreme diet. And was so hungry that I ate 3 plates of Chinese food at the buffet. I really need more preparation too tackle this again.Really feel defeated, but I was so hungry I couldn't take it anymore

I'm surprised at the extreme - my program started so simply - add food to every meal - add!!!

Produce

Then it was eat healthier snacks.

Then it was use a smaller plate but keep the produce - so that made my portions of the other stuff smaller.

Then it was if you gave a craving go for a walk and drink two glasses of water first before eating anything.

Just small changes that have yielded great results. The weight loss has slowed but has not stopped. Day to Day is inconsistent but I almost always weight less week to week. The last three weeks I've gone from 175.5 to 173.7 that way. Just inching along.

It's actually harder for me to eat poorly at this point than it is to eat healthy.

I made it a day and half in the extreme diet. And was so hungry that I ate 3 plates of Chinese food at the buffet. I really need more preparation too tackle this again.Really feel defeated, but I was so hungry I couldn't take it anymore

Have you tried intermittent fasting? Basically pick a 8 hour window and eat normally inside it. Outside of that window drink water or completely sugar free drinks.

That coupled with working out has helped me to shed weight. The link is for the work out plan I've been following.

Be careful, the “extreme diet” may be too extreme for you.

Listen to Rev, I like the sound of his program.

I eat the same, just better choices & smaller portions.
