Rtracymog
Hit up the range today with the girls. Not much chance to really work with them around, but I brought out the flightscope my rep is letting me use for demo days. Of course my 4 year old dropped the iPad, so now I need to buy a new screen because of the crack I don’t trust the flightscope as much as TrackMan, but it wasn’t too bad. I did switch the weights in my Cortex and that seemed to help with the fade a little. Here are some numbers from today. dlow206
Played yesterday. Started out with too many OB shots off the tee. Once I settled down, had some good shots off the tee. I am a high handicapper so I definitely put some swings out there that no shaft will help. I have been playing the Motore in all my rounds lately, so to get a good comparison, going to play my Oban Kiyoshi Gold the next round. 4 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin
azstu324
Super excited to head out today. Feeling mostly back to normal. I'll be doing a few different tests today so hopefully I don't get overloaded with ideas and forget how to golf I'll be putting some finishing data together for the Motore X I just got a box of these that I want to compare to my 2 other regular gamers.. I've been on the mend for a couple of weeks with antibiotics and a very unpleasant diet. I'm going for a follow up with my doc tomorrow and hopefully I can be good to play this Saturday. azstu324
So on the Motore X side of the testing, things started out a bit sloppy. Was just winging everything right on the front 9 through about #8. Was making fairways just fine but was just getting too much left to right action and too much height and spin and losing a lot of distance. I just realized I wasn't loading up and releasing correctly, so instead of getting under, I was coming across. In other words, I was just making a lazy swing. Once I made a more concentrated effort to swing up and out with a full rotation, (insert comic sound effects) WHAM! POW! BLAMO! Bombs on a rope! This is hole 18. Shorter par 4. But with water all down the right side, narrow, and guarded by bunkers on both sides of the green. I threaded the needle on this one. Actually had to apologize to the group in front for hitting on the green while they were putting. Luckily the pin was at the back. I will also report that all 3 balls were part of the different yardages shown. The tour Response very surprisingly was the longest of the 3. So much for compression core stats. Also, it felt absolutely fantastic off the driver and irons and performance on the green was as good as anything. Another round or 2 like today and I may be considering a new gamer. the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get.. dlow206
Got out again today and hit a few good drives. The Motore is holding as my favorite on course shaft. Put this one down the middle of the fairway 240 yards (good distance for me). I self destructed after that shot on this hole but the drive was good. 5 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin

goaliewales14
This morning I went out to play a course I've never played before and came up to a par 5 and decided to just let it rip! I told the 3 others I was paired with that I'm gonna take it just left of the bunkers on the right as the hole was a dog leg right. Trying to hug the corner. I couldn't have hit my line any better if I tried. Unfortunately one of the other guys in the group decided to dart out in front of my line right as I was swing. Unluckily I stopped my swing enough to top it and not hit him, but there went my shot at an eagle 5 Quote Driver: Callaway Rogue ST Max 3 Wood: Taylormade SIM 3 Utility Iron: Srixon U85 4i – AW: Taylormade P760 SW: Taylormade MG3 TW Grind LW: Taylormade Hi-Toe Low Bounce Putter: PXG Battle Ready One & Done

I've got a Handcrafted HZRDUS Yellow and an Aldila NV Green (should be able to get it now that the PGA SS club repair section is open). With the HZRDUS, I just felt like I kept losing the club head during my swing. I definitely be curious to put the NV Green side-by-side. In comparing from the feeling I had during my PXG fitting, the Motore X just feels more stable. They are extremely close profiles, but I just don't feel like the Motore X twists at all throughout the swing and even on bad hits at impact. 5 Quote Driver: Callaway Rogue ST Max 3 Wood: Taylormade SIM 3 Utility Iron: Srixon U85 4i – AW: Taylormade P760 SW: Taylormade MG3 TW Grind LW: Taylormade Hi-Toe Low Bounce Putter: PXG Battle Ready One & Done

azstu324
Played what I think might conclusory testing round yesterday. It was really just a more organic round without much specific notations on the shaft but just overall game improvement. I didn't play driver on all par 4's, which is more normal. Usually I split par 4's 50/50 between driver, and 3 wood or even 4 iron. I'm happy to report that driver delivered on all accounts. Didn't really think to take any yardage pics until the 18th (we started on 10). This hole plays slightly uphill too. I would say this is a pretty good final statement.. Now that stores are opening back up, I may go in for 1 final LM session as I've gotten to know the Motore X just to see if my course improvements can be quantified by the #'s the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get.. Rtracymog
I got a chance to get out and play 18 on Memorial Day and this was, by far, my best driving day of the year. Technically only hit 3 of 12 fairways. However, I hit 3 drives either through the fairway or right over my target line so no complaints there. I did hit some way ward shots coming in, but I don't know if that was from the heat, fatigue or LOFT Average driver was around 290ish with a long of 318. I switched the weights in my Cortex (8g went from toe to heel) and that has made a big difference in accuracy. I was planning on switching to the Rogue Silver for the back 9, but I hit the Motore so well that I didn't want to change it! Throw in a couple of punch outs, 2 penalty strokes and three 3 jacks and I'll take an 80 all day! I will be out again soon and I will make sure to compare the two shafts by switching them at the turn. 5 Quote Cortex w/MGS Motore X F1 7X tipped 1" F5 17 degree hybrid w/Rogue Black 85X C300 Forged 3-5 w/C-Taper 130X FG Tour V6 5-6 w/C-Taper 130X Staff Model Blade 7-PW w/C-Taper 130X RTX4 52, 56, 60 w/S400 Tour Issue ER7

But I had no idea whether I’d really be happy with my purchase or if I flushed $275 down the toilet! While I still don’t have access to launch monitors, I’ve fooled around with driver adjustments and now played a couple of rounds, and I can honestly say that I am driving the ball longer and generally straighter than I did with the stock Tensei AV Blue. In all fairness, I’ve also been working on hitting the ball above the equator of the driver face (so it launches higher with lower spin which should increase distance) and I can’t quantify how much each helps, but I am definitely driving farther. I plan on doing some range sessions going back & forth with the stock shaft, but it’s tough to see a change in distance at the range when you’re talking only 10 to 15 (driver) yards. However, I’ll give it a try when I can and report back. I like what I've read so far but I'm even more anxious to see our tester’s more definitive reports!
