I hope to start soon improving my game considering here in NY courses will be closed another month.

This is the “new” golf brother ! I’ve got a flight scope Mevo, but besides optishot, this maybe the best calibrated side option available. Looking forward to your review. Can you play rounds with it?

Nice one! 

I took the plunge and got mine about 3 weeks ago, awesome tool... shame about the swing.

Been mainly using it outdoors into a net.

Also indoors in the lounge for chipping/pitching (into a net 'of sorts') using practice balls. I found the 30% type work best, the foam ones are pretty good too, the hollow plastic and waffle/airflow work, but are just too erratic.  Obviously the 'numbers' won't be the same with practice balls as your real ball (but different models of real ball give different numbers anyway, as do range balls of course), but close enough to be useable.

Enjoy, I definitely don't regret 'investing' in mine.

Will also come in very handy for deciding which ball to game going forward.  Even with my inconsistent ball striking i can see differences between models.

I did the same thing - but just ordered a couple days ago.  I've seen all sorts of different things in regards to timing and receiving the unit, could you tell me about time frames @Pandaman and @Wondergiulio

I am UK based, so your situation may be different, depending on where you are.

I ordered mine from a UK distributor.  I got lucky and ordered just days before the £250 discount offer ended, and stock ran out due to increased demand. Even then it took over a week to arrive due to demand and (I think) waiting for a shipment that was in transit to the distributor.  I did wonder if I had just missed out, but luckily all was well.  I called them a couple of times to check on progress and they were very helpful and reassuring (if a little busy).

Last time I looked, just before mine arrived, they were taking back orders with estimated delivery several weeks away.

I would suggest you contact your supplier for an update on availabity and estimated delivery.

I ordered mine and received in 2 weeks but i have heard they are back ordered.

I agree on the ball model.
I actually hope to be able to test couple of shafts as well and of course work on my horrible swing ahahahah

I don't think so. It's a new toy for Wondergiulio but these will not supplant real golf.

So, 

i have my first update.

the unit works fine on an iphone, BUT i could not connect it to the Ipad pro due to continuos loss of signal.

it is probably a compatibility problem and i am waiting the Skytrak customer service to contact me.

i just had few shots on Iphine and seems accurate.

but again, as soon as everything will be fixed i will post review of the unit

Looking forward to a more in-depth review if you get e chance. Hopefully it will work on the bigger screen of the iPad.  Any ambition to get a projector?

That is really nice, I have been researching of what kind of unit I can get to use for my own practice and to take to the range.

Hi!
I actually tried few shots because here outside was raining.
Software is easy to usebut i cannot connect it to my ipad.
I think has something to do with IP address congested in the area.
Unfortunately the customer service has no answer.
Works on my iphone but is difficult to use in that way

I'm not familiar with the technology it has nor to your home network. 

Check if your router is dual band Wi-Fi, if so and the skytrac supports connecting to the 5.0 GHz. 

Make sure the iPad and unit are connected to it. I use my 2.4Ghz band for most of the devices at home and use the 5 for work devices.

Now if you are connecting the iPad directly to the unit. 

I would clear all of the saved network settings from the iPad and try setting up a new connection to the skytrak directly.

I think this is the problem I had setting mine up. We have a 5G router and SkyTrak only supports 2G. So all devices in the house are on 5G and the iPad used for SkyTrak is on 2G. I guess our router is dual band. The other option if it is working with a phone you buy an adapter and connect to a TV. It’s actually better than an iPad because of the aspect ratio. You get full screen with an iPhone anyway.

This makes sense. @Wondergiulio join all of your devices to the 2.4GHz band so they play nicely with each other. I'm not sure of any devices that even have 5Ghz-only radio unless it's some kind of proprietary device that you received from your ISP. It just doesn't make sense from a manufacturer's perspective to force your users to upgrade their devices to play with yours -- it's a hard sell when you could just get a dual-band setup for (probably) the same price. Not to mention, the 2.4GHz band is better for larger ranges of coverage!

I can say that the WiFi bands definitely play a factor in setup.

Problem is that does not connect even in direct mode. It keeps connecting and than disconnecting...

Does it stay connected with the iPhone? 

If so, the iPad might be the culprit, you might want to make sure the iOS is update and if all fails fracture reset the device.

Sure is the IPad, bc I tried connecting to computer and works flawlessly.

is weird tho because i tried even factory reset, so I am just wondering if it is a configuration of the iPad issue or even a model issue. The iPad is the 2018 pro 10.5

I have found more success in using "Network" mode where the iPad and Skytrak unit are both connected to the same WiFi network - using it in "Direct" mode (device connected directly to WiFi SSID of Skytrak device) was very unreliable for me.  Also I recall that 10.XXX.XXX.XXX IP address ranges are problematic as well so if your WiFi router uses this range it could be an issue as well.
