Driver shaft cutting

I currently have a honma 747 460 driver. It is 45.75 length which is to long for my liking. So question is anyone with experience about how much can you chop off before you start messing with the swing weight?

Swing weight will change the minute you reduce the total length of the club. It won’t be remarkably profound but rule of thumb is swing weight is reduced 2-3 points for each 1/2”

Honma sells this driver at a “stock” length at 45.25”. It’s relatively safe to say you could knock off 1/2” and you would likely be just fine.
