How Did You Discover MyGolfSpy?

I was researching drivers and irons to learn what I wanted to buy. What I loved was, I wasn't willing to buy a brand new driver/iron at the time and I could still read and thought they were super insightful and fun reads. Then I kept seeing them pop up on my Twitter and I was hooked. An incredible platform/forum. Thanks for everything MGS!

When the discussion on new equipment would come up, MSG was often mentioned by a couple of the Ancient Agers that could read. When they said that the site included pictures for us semi-literate … I was IN.

I discovered MGS by doing research on clubs, balls, etc and it became one of my "go to" sites for this sort of information. From the main page, I discovered the forum and lurked for years before actually joining in early '23.

Oh that's an easy one, a quick Google search for "best game improvement irons" brought me here when I was looking into a set that was not older than I was lol. And honestly, I just saw the camaraderie between the users here and how honest, yet respectful everybody was with each other. I hope to fit right into that mold. Cheers!

Also, a HUGE piece of what keeps me here is the forum member testing. Not just the opportunities but more so the honest nature. It's so hard to find reliable reviews or reviews that don't sound like they were written by AI. Getting true and honest feedback from golfers similar to me is vital. I also feel like the community is so active and puts so many fun topics out there to discuss.4

I had been researching personal, and affordable, launch monitors and MGS popped up on my Instagram feed one day. I checked out their reviews and all of the info they had on launch monitors and clubs and I was hooked.  Signed up for the newsletter and have been really enjoying the lighthearted, honest, and positive discussions from fellow golfers who are just gear geeks like me!  The positivity and friendliness on here is much needed island from the craziness of this world.

One of the guys in my foursome was always quoting MyGolfSpy test results when we discussed clubs, golf balls, etc.  I started reading the test results myself and am now reading the results and articles regularly.

I played with someone that hat Miura irons and he let me hit them a few times.  They were awesome.  I google Miura reviews and it had Tony's MC 501 review.

I guess it was 7 years ago. I was doing a search about information on Adams Golf and came upon it. Joined pretty quick. Definitely hooked on great information shared.

Was actually watching No Putts Given podcast on YouTube and didn’t really pay attention to the channel it was on. That was maybe 2020-2021. Fast forward to 2022 and I was playing in a league on Wednesday nights in Virginia Beach. One of the guys I became friends with was talking about it and how MGS was in Yorktown. Blew my mind. Now I live like 15 minutes from HQ apparently, and didn’t even know it until 3 months after my wife and I moved into our new house.

I think I was checking reviews for the epic flash driver and MGS was one of the reports I opened, then I saw where I could join and give feedback on equipment I have and get reviews from other members on their equipment. I joined and have never regretted it, great site great people.

I found it when I was looking to upgrade driver in 2020 when covid golf became a thing and MGS told me go buy the Cobra F9

Returned to golf 18 months ago after 20 years away, so when it came to updating just about everything golf-related in my garage, I did a LOT of research via socials, youtube, forums, testing websites etc. MGS kept popping up on searches and I started following on social media. Eventually ended up in here after seeing something about testers wanted so thought I'd see what that was all about.

The product testing may have brought me here, but it is absolutely the community and good-natured discussion that will keep me here.

At some point I hope to give product testing a go. I'm an engineer and all about the details, data and analyses.

Was getting back into the game after falling to maybe 4 rounds a summer for 5+ years… wanted info on current balls and maybe trading up from a 20 yr old driver.

I was looking to buy a new set of irons back in 2018 after getting back into the game a few years earlier by buying a set of TM LCG Bubble shafts at a Play It Again Sports. I wasn't sure if I'd get hooked on the game and found these for $89 and thought it would be a low risk option in case I gave it up again.

I was interested in the Callaway Steelhead irons at the time and was looking at reviews when I stumbled upon this:

Was talking about golf ball Brands & specs with a golf buddy during our Saturday men's group. He told me to check out this great site, My Golf Spy. They list all the golf ball brands, rate them, give you the compression. I checked it out and was hooked! 

BTW the Golf Ball brand chart, with specs is great!
