How'd you play?

The grooves on the putter infringed on Rife  putters (the guy the founded EVNroll) groove patents, so they had to recall it.

Gotcha. So is the one you have "infinging"?

Back to the Cobra F8’s with my Ping Ketsch putter. I just got my Evnroll back from Evnroll Customer Service and it looks terrific. However, with the Club Championship this weekend, I really did not want to switch out the Ketsch, as I have been putting 26 to 32 putts per round.

I dream of a 26 putt round............what an amazing difference that does to your score.

Rained hard yesterday, so I didn’t get a lot of roll, but hit the ball really well today, 37/37-74. Maybe my best round at my new track. Rolled the putter really well today with 3 medium length putts for the birds. Love my ER3

starting to understand my new irons a little better now too. Here’s a pic of my new shoes, first round wearing them, and I actually tried to clean them up a little...

I wonder why we put ourselves through this torture we call flog  golf sometimes🙄

Looking forward to playing, new swing bedding in nicely (I thought) then followed a round of thins, fats, bogies and doubles including a 4 putt on our hardest hole. Even managed to drive a ball off the tee 12" off the ground into a bank 20 yds in front, never to be seen again!

I need to see the pro and sort this nonsense out.

First round of our Club Championship today. First hole #18 I hit my Approach shot into the tree over the creek. Never found the ball, took a drop then finished with a triple! Fast forward to #16, another triple! Finished the day with an 86, net 67(19 Hcap). 8 pars, 7 Bogeys, 3 Doubles and two triples. 8/14 Fairways, 6/18 GIRs and 34 putts later, I am the Leader in the clubhouse by 1 stroke. Wish me luck tomorrow.

Pulled the trigger on joining a club this week. First time around the track today was a 105 in the rain and mud. Love the course. Can't wait to see it in the summer.

Lost by 2 strokes......s*** 46/45:91 today with an 8 on Par 4 #18 & an 8 on Par 3 #2....just lost it. Started on #18 so, after #2, everything else was good. Drove it to the bunker on #2 then could not get out.

41/43 at Mesa Del Sol... with an elephant ear on #11 (2 OB's off the tee). 😢  Lots of cool,  blustery wind that seemingly came from all directions. I can relate to the players at Riviera today as I felt like I was adding windage to my putts yesterday.

Had my first two good looks of the "season" at birdie on Friday in an 11 hole round.  Missed both.  Hit the ball decently for about 5 or 6 holes then seemed to lose my swing all together.

But it was just nice to be out playing.

Oh oh, hate hearing that.
When I’m done with my PT and released to play you and Rev need to take a road trip to Villages.

Played almost exactly how you might expect someone with my handicap to play after not even taking a swing in 4 weeks.  Had a couple of good two or three hole stretches, with a couple of looks at birdie, but ended up right on my handicap.  Had a couple of disasters, and actually pulled off a three-putt from about 4 feet. (I was trying to hurry, as the mower was literally sitting there running waiting on us.)

I did dig out the Eye 2's, which hadn't seen the course in almost 2 years.  I still wonder at times why I ever went away from them.

Almost 😉 stupendously.

Short 9 from the forward tees .. mostly kept the ball under control despite swirling wind, threatening rain, bare dirt patches, very rough greens .. PB 43 and that's with three cudda/shudda doubles!

So feeling good about what may happen this season. All the lessons and all the practice are starting to pay off 🤙

Don't feel bad, JT and JB did the same Sunday aft at the Genesis.
