I HATE WINTER

Yea high humidity is horrible. I grew up in New Mexico, and live in Colorado now, so I know about dry heat. But 100 or more is miserable hot humidity or not. The sun cooks you. And I bet 100 is a "cool" summer day in Yuma from what I've heard. Maybe I'm wrong though. Never lived there. It must be nice this time of year though.

It's fridgid here. Feels like -15*. I hate ohio so much. I had an opportunity to move to Florida about 5 years ago. Should have went. Though I wouldn't have met my wife but still lol. I have her convinced to move though.

Silly silly man. But, like you, I have mine convinced to move...in 5-6 years.

Well, a balmy 7° this morning, down from 70 on Saturday. We'll start warming back up now. Only got about 4" of snow. No biggie.

In all honesty, for the most part I like getting some snow. A foot wouldn't have hurt my feelings. Haven't had much yet. But we get breaks where it warms up, snow melts, played golf with my son in a short sleeve shirt Saturday for twilight.

But this stuff New England and especially Boston is getting..... Yea I think that would be a bit much.

Just heard the news. Sounds like we're getting back in the storm track. This weekend and midweek next week. Hmmm, maybe we'll get some snow afterall. We actually need it or we'll be worried about forest fires this summer.

I heard the some New England town police department has issued an arrest warrant for Punxsutawney Phil for predicting 6 more weeks of winter.

I have a bounty on his furry little rear end.....fortunately for me all it takes for the boys in PA is a case of Iron City to get the job done.

Yes, I know. I have spent considerable time in Columbus and Chillicothe, as well as up on the lake near Catawba Island and Cedar Point. Actually, my company has its HQ in Columbus right next to OSU. I have friends that play golf at the country club in Chillicothe.

Yeah, except we had about 3-4 week stretch where it didn't get below 85 it was so humid. A few nights it was 91 for the low temperature.

Monsoon season can be a ****** when it wants to.

Mississippi is the worst for heat and humidity. It'll be 95 with humidity to the point you douse yourself with water and it turns warm by the time you hit your next shot.

I think I'd rather play in 40* weather in the fall/winter than over 100* in the summer. But I haven't played a round in a month due to snow so pick your poison. It's 13* and snowing here right now. My goal for retirement is to find the best year round golf climate in the country. If I had won the powerball the other day like I planned to I could open an indoor facility around here with simulators and launch monitors.

That's what I did.......moved to FLORIDA 28 years ago knowing that the year round golf environment was blissful.

-30 wind chills all day today and into tonight. After a while, it feels like meteorlogical incarceration. Even the dog is morose wanting to go out for a walk for a couple days now.

Watching the weather this morning, one graphic says 28º for the high Saturday. Dude's very next graphic shows 21º for Saturday. Two seconds apart, 7 degrees difference. I have no faith in them at all. THat's our "bright spot" for the next week +. Oof!

-3º for a "high" today. Weather man will say it was +7º. It's always way warmer than anything I experience.

Denver was like 62º yesterday I saw. So close! Brutal!!! Damn jet stream.

My CFO from our Miami operations called today and told me it was "only" a high of 59* there today.  Talk like that may have her looking for new employment soon.

As a meteorologist, it's been a rough winter for us too. The snow storm in NYC was a downright bust of a forecast. Out here, it's been so much warmer than average, it's tough to figure out sometimes. Sad part is a lot of people lost faith in us a long time ago, although we actually are more accurate than most people would believe.

Meteorologist? Really? Yuma, what a great place to be a meteorologist. "Today is going to be sunny and hot. Tomorrow is going to be sunny and hot." :)

I believe in you.

I can imagine its tough to predict. My big contention of late has been reported temperatures. Granted, I have a hardware store thermometer outside, but the "official" temps reported at the "official" location across town are consistently 7-10 degrees warmer than anything I ever see. Global warming is easy to "prove" when they tack 10 degrees onto every temperature recorded.

Whatever that "European model" is, I wish they'd start using it if its indeed more accurate.

Ten Florida Sissies from our regular Friday group are teeing off tomorrow morning at the TPC Valley, predicted temp at tee off time (already delayed 2 hours by a preemptive frost delay proclamation) of 39 degrees.  Nothing stops us!

It will be sunny and its a "dry cold".

I did discover this afternoon I still have a pair of long undies from the 2012 NFC Championship Game against the Giants in Green Bay.  Those will help.

At least we're playing, I do feel for you up north.

I'm playing today at 1246, right now it's 37 out with a wind chill of 25. By then it's supposed to be around 50. Tomorrow it's supposed to be back on the 70s. SpOrtsfan gets a high five for owning up to his profession and of course meteorologists are right a huge percentage of the time. The fact that we remember when they are wrong proves how often they are right.

We got delayed another hour, teed off at 11:30.  But, surprisingly wasn't bad.  Never got above 40, but the winds weren't terrible (a two club wind when hitting directly into it on about 4 holes).  Played like crap but putted wonderfully.  Greens were rolling perfect, awesome for this time of year.  75 here Sunday, will definitely get out for some much needed range work.

I would tee of at 39 right about now, it's -5 here.  We are experiencing record cold in southern IN.  Last year I was playing golf in short sleeves by this time.

Right about now that is shorts weather for me.  It was -7 when I got in my car this morning with 20+MPH winds.  Cant wait to get to southern Florida on Monday for a "business" trip.

Our round was delayed and it did not get as warm as forecast, high 40's.  It was Sunday and the wind wasn't terrible so overall it wasn't too bad.  That colder weather made a 10 MPH wind two clubs when you were hitting into it though.

It's supposed to be 80 here on Sunday.  Florida is open guys, we'd love to have you come.
