Child obesity

My opinion kids are lazy and they eat like s***. But they learned it from somewhere. Cough parents cough.

Take away the video games and cell phones.... and tell them to go outside and play. I was out of the house by 7:30 in the morning and not back home until dinner time in the Summer. Then, back out until 9:00 (almost dark) play ball, fishing, riding my bike, etc.... I don't remember any of us being obese (fat) as children.

 

Okay.... old guy rant over.

This is very true. My son just came back from the doctor and he jumped 20lbs since his last visit. All he wants to do is sit in front of the TV and play with his iPad. We signed him up for swim team and have him out kayaking with a neighbor who lives on the water. While I'm trying to ramp up his interest in golf, it's not enough exercise for him alone.

I am 15 and golf and running has kept me in pretty good shape. I am 6' and weigh 145lbs. I don't really play video games. The most I am on my phone is when I am on MGS and I rarely have a day where I don't go for a run or walk the golf course.

Kids need to work, and the parents need to make sure they do, whether its emptying the dryer, weeding etc. Kids are obese because their fat butts are lazy, and their parents are uninvolved.

I was nice and slender as a kid.

Had no trouble making weight for my matches.
