Electric push carts are a must, they allow us to walk and enjoy our round with less stress... pound us with information on those, trips, we all have a bucket list, pound us with that... that's all I can think about right now, i need another cup of coffee... hope this helps....

In my competitive golf world, “senior” generally begins at age 60 (age 62 in the case of 9-hole casual evening leagues at one course where I play). On both my winter golf tour and the statewide senior travel league in which I play, “senior” begins at 60.

Sam, I find that I usually get stronger and better as my round progresses.  Today, I started with a par, then proceeded to shoot +13 over the course of the next four holes (yes, it was EXTREMELY UGLY, with 6 penalty strokes within the next two holes). I then shot -1 for the final 13 holes, with one birdie and 12 pars, and I had four other birdie putts of 15’ or less over that 13 hole stretch.  Last week, I started both of my two-day tournament rounds with triple bogeys, and also had a 10 right before I went on an 11-hole stretch of even par golf in round #2. I haven’t had this many blowup holes in the last 4 or 5 years as I have had in my last three rounds!

Some of us don't post a lot because we will only be duplicating what others are saying. Or, we just don't think we have anything relevant to add to the discussion.

Keep in mind that many on here visit the site many times than some of us. I watch the video of YouTube and enjoy them very much, but I never comment there either. I am a golf instructor which means I visit the site because I'm looking for the latest and greatest from the MGS members, and I am able to find out some great information from everyone. I compare feedback I'm getting from my players to see how it all lines up with those here. But...note taken from the low engagement data, I, for one, will start posting more often, it definitely helps the group. Thanks for the info on how this thing works...

I feel the same way sometimes where I do not have anything to add to the conversation, I am not super in tune with all the mechanics and golf gear information, why certain material is used, why they are changing certain things. I am definitely of the type I swing club, I hit ball....

With that being said there is plenty to get involved with and just putting thoughts out there. Even if it is just agreeing with certain posts. I know not everyone wants to be on here outside of golf discussion but there is A TON of other threads about everything besides golf.

There is a bit of repetition BUT I'll always find a kernel of info that helps me. So don't feel bad about being repetitive.

Unfortunately it is quite difficult for us to track who has just been visiting the site. Our only real way to see who is active and getting involved are by those who post or participate. Then if we see that they only post in testing threads for sign ups the perception of that is well that they only want free gear. Whether it is right or wrong, with so many amazing active members those tester only posters are easily overlooked. 

I agree a lot of the time it can be repeating, but to add to this it can be quite nice for some (especially as you are a coach and in those swing type threads) to have multiple of similar responses as it reinforces whichever idea or thought they may be looking for. 

I would encourage anyone to post and if it feels like it would be a repetitive, then creating your own WITB or thread on a topic which you are interested in can help that. 

Also we have a ton of non golf, 19th hole threads which are fun to just get to know members and feel like you are being part of the community. Happy Birthday Thread, Good Morning Thread, Random Thread, Got Problems Thread, Electric Car, Formula One, NFL, Dogs and on and on. We are of course golf community first, but there is a big focus on the second word for us, community. This is what we build off of and always consider as we make changes and move forward.

Just remember this is not where you apply to test. This is where we provide information for members, answer questions you may have about the process and more. 

Testing as most are aware are for members (new and old) who are contributing to the community and who will help provide a valuable review for all to read guests and members alike. 

There is going to be an added focus on selecting those who are and have been active. Meaning get involved! There is so much here, golf and other that you can find something for everyone and anyone. 

Nervous to make your first post? There really is no need, but I get it. We are a growing community and are normal golfers of a whole range of skill levels. From scratch or better to 40 plus handicaps. Put out a quick WITB with pictures of your clubs and why you have them! Even just say hi in the good morning thread. We can't wait to have more member get involved and help create a deeper testing pool with new members who will bring new ideas to reviews. 

We are really excited to have all you new members and look forward to seeing what you will bring to the forum!
