GM!! Woke up wanting to go back to bed weather in Kentucky does not want to change, windy and wet morning. Daughter made me some Puertorrican coffee so that should help me. Getting ready for this short week as the Army Reserve gave us a 4-Day for Spring Holiday

Morning all! It’s a chilly morning here but looks like it’ll clear up some this afternoon. Going to try to sneak out to the range at lunch and then maybe get an evening 9 or so after work. I’m excited for the Taylormade fitting at the club tomorrow and looking forward to hitting the Qi, MG4, and trying some new things with irons. Have a great day everyone!

Tuesday my fellow spies… Still NO golf for this antiquated ancient ager. Those people that pay my salary, have sent me a work request starting next week. Might need to try some different hand therapy to aid in being able to close my fist while shaking it at the sky. Also, I might try gargling to enhance my yelling ability. I need to keep my primary work skills sharp. 
  In more, much more important and pressing needs… 

@Erin B hoping the best for your lady fair.. Good mature and adult job on catching the “ C” early. Good example for us all on the need for timely exams. @sirchunksalot take care of yourself. Hoping the biopsies turn out to be a BIG NEGATIVE… and that your hardhead is good to go. 
  May the rest of you spies on the IR list have a speedy recovery from your  ills,aches, and pains. For those healthy enough or those that are just plain stubborn and that are continuing playing while recovering from health issues.. Fairways and Greens my friends, nothing but Fairways and Greens.

Good Morning everyone!!  It’s 39º but will be sunny and 64º later.  Today I’m headed to Home Depot for fertilizer and bermuda crabgrass killer.   This afternoon my wife heads to cardiology to receive a heart monitor that she has to wear for at least two weeks; monitoring for an irregular heart beat.  I hope she’s not catching what I had!!

Hello Luisddavila,

The only course we have here in Lebanon, MO is GreatLife Golf and Fitness.  It is not a great course, but it is also not a goat ranch.  There are several good courses at Lake of the Ozarks; a nice course in Marshfield called Whispering Oaks; a decent course in Buffalo called Dream Valley; and a good course in Bolivar called Silo Ridge.  Springfield has several nice courses as well.  

I hope you enjoy your vacation.

Good Tuesday morning everyone!

Pretty cold start to the day with hopes of mid 60's this afternoon. Coffee is especially good this morning while waiting for SWMBO to decide what I will be doing today... Shouldn't be to bad as I was able to shrink the list a little yesterday.

@Erin B Having experienced where you are at 2 years ago, I will keep you in thoughts and prayers for speedy treatment and recovery plan. Stay close to the spousal unit as she needs your strong support while navigating this unfortunate situation.

Good morning everyone!

Had a good day off yesterday with the grandkids and my daughters. Was 70 degrees and sunny. Golf would have been awesome but had a good time as it was. This week will be decent but I will not be able to get at it for a bit. Between prepping the yard equipment and work duty changes, I will be locked in during the week. Hopefully this weekend if the weather permits. Still need to buy another car for Mrs. ZoonORama so may have to spend some time this weekend on that as well.

Hope everyone who is suffering ills and pains feels better. Lately seems like a lot of us are struggling. Just know we are all pulling for each other. Really appreciate this platform and community for that. Thank you MGS! 

Today is National Spinach Day! - so embrace your inner Popeye and pop a can o’spinach…. uh, sku ga ga ga ga…..

Good morning all!

Very excited that my new TaylorMade MG4 wedges arrived yesterday! They look absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to use them out on the course. I was able to hit them at the sim last night after work and they felt like butter!

Debating scheduling a tee time for this weekend. It's supposed to be close to 60s with a small chance of rain. Gotta take advantage of these nice days when we get them!

Should be a pretty normal day at work. My wife is attending a Blackhawks game tonight for work, so maybe I'll sneak off to the sim again. We shall see!

Yet another work day. Sitting in the airport waiting to catch my flight to Tulsa OK. What else can I say but TRAVEL SUCKS. Can’t even get a round of golf in on this trip.  Double suckaroos. 
Dinner with clients, teaching product Wednesday am, two other customer visits that day and another dinner. Thursday morning another customer visit and back to the airport. I’ll miss the community call as I’ll be in flight.

Praying to hit the lottery. This work stuff is getting as old as I am.

Good morning everybody!

Up with my morning cup of coffee. It's been two weeks since Mr. Pickles got neutered and he still has a thick scab that we don't want him to mess with so sorry bud, a little while longer in the cone it is. Besides that, I caught wind that one of the local courses opens the range to hit off the grass on Tuesdays, I have yet to call and confirm but if that is true. Ooooh I am there today!

Besides that, currently not getting a long with my current instructor's way of teaching, so the instructor that I part time TA for suggested that I learn it on my own, and that is what I have done the past couple of weeks. It's going well so far actually, Powershell is just Linux for dummies (kind of).

Anyways, I hope you all have a great day. May the health of your and your families be well.

Limit my galavanting??  I don’t think so.    I wondering what that monitor will show when she’s playing golf tomorrow with the Ladies League!!  The course opens tomorrow after aeration, and the fairways will have plug holes (and probably a few plugs laying around); the greens will be plugged and sanded but not enough sand and the wind is blowing 15-25mph.  Also, she gets so upset because some of ladies are so slow.  She hates it when they stop and do their nails at the turn!  

Me?  I’m just going to galavant around to the golf store; no reason to go to the course to practice on crap greens.

For most of the almost 4 years I've been with this company, most of my work has been from home, which is nice. For the last few months that's been flipped on its head with a lot of travel, but in about six months that will go back to mainly working from home. I think. Always subject to change...

Mentally preparing myself for yet another meeting with a client site, thinking to myself, 98% chance this could have been an email. That's assuming they even bother to show up in the first place. I'm not sure I understand the mentality of people that want help and solutions but then freeze when it comes to actually implementing fixes. I've already burned through my allocated hours through June for this customer and still no closer to getting them to actually do anything about the recommendations they have been given.

Sounds like my life in healthcare. People come in with a problem, I give them a diagnosis and treatment plan, and next time they come back they haven't done a thing about the treatment plan. Which is kind of a big deal for things like diabetes or heart failure.

right - gets me access to a private course, can play 4x per month, use practice facilities whenever I want, access to some tournaments and all skins games, can upgrade to a full membership later if I'd like.

The following will overview many of the features of our Social Membership for 2024. A 2024 Membership runs until 4/30/25.

Social Membership Cost (2024 rate) is $405 Annually per member /  a $100 Monthly Food Minimum applies for 8 months April thru November /  a $50 one time Social Fee that all Members pay that helps fund our slate of Social events for the Season. If you are interested in an MGA Handicap, all members pay $50 and you can arrange this with the Office or Pro Shop at joining. 

Full and Free use of the facilities including the range. And if not peak hours, we always allow members to introduce their young children or partners to the game.

Your play is limited to 4 times per month ( of which 2 max on weekends) / Socials pays the Member's Guest rate ( currently $65 inc. cart) when they play. Socials may Walk at the $50 Walking Rate.

Socials are required to play after 1 PM on Sat,Sun and Holidays. Socials may play before 1 PM on a weekend or holiday as a guest of a Member. Same green's fee as above and playing as a guest is counted as part of your 4 time / (2 max weekends) monthly play limitation. 

During the Winter when our Pro Shop is closed, Socials can play free Winter Golf to the extent weather permits. 

Socials may have access to some Club tournaments if the tournament is not full. This is dependent on how the Tournament is posted and over-all subscription. Socials also have access to all Club Social events.

Socials have access to the online tee system and may arrange for guests at the $65 Member's Guest rate 14 days in advance same as full members. Your guests on weekends would be guided by the 1 PM time.

Socials may upgrade to another category of Membership during the Season with a fair pro-rate adjustment of applicable dues. Many new members (who have limited prior experience at Seggy) go this route and then join. Any upgrades are always subject to membership category availability.

Our typical Social plays about 20 +/- times per year, likes to hit balls and gets a real value from the range, hosts some guests to show off their Club during the Season, and likes to occasionally dine or attend Social events at the Club. Something to think about.

Been rough the past week health wise in our house…little one had strept last week, I started feeling bad Friday evening and eventually went to the doctor Monday.  Was fully expecting a strept diagnosis for me…nope, flu!  Was shocked, but starting to feel a little better.  Been isolated in the guest room so hopefully nobody else in the house gets sick.

The callaway triple track is an obvious choice. The Srixon z-star divide is another good one. The Taylormade Tour Response with the thick yellow line. The new Bridgestone mindset. Then, I’ve always like the solid line on the Vice Pro and Pro Plus balls.
