Good  morning everyone!  It's so dark at 6am these days!!  Seems like the sun was coming up not that long ago.  Finished my 2nd cup of coffee with a couple of biscottis.  Looks like it will be a sunny, windy 85º day.  Watching the hurricane news... looks like rain.  Stay safe!

It's a nice morning here and I'm enjoying my coffee and am about to see if I can figure out how to check the status of my lease car inspection. Online stuff is great, but it can be a pain.

Keep us posted about her surgery; should go well... my mom had hers removed when she was 80 and she and dad were on a trip in their 5th wheel.  Will be praying for a speedy recovery.

I got to be lazy this morning .. wife is back on her work schedule (no kids yet, staff days) so now she's getting up weekdays at doggy breakfast time. Ahhh retirement...

Was hoping to play 9 later but doggy and I were sitting out back and just had to retreat inside... Clouds to the West looked very grey and threatening, and then all of a sudden the wind shifted and picked up .. temps dropped a bit, and .. yep .. it started pouring...

Always plenty of home projects to keep me busy!

My aunt had that done, though that was years ago, but it was a laparoscopic (sp?) procedure so not too terrible but I do remember her middle & belly were uncomfortable for a while... Hopefully your wife's goes quickly and easily and the recovery is also quick and easy

Good Wednesday Morning Spies! 
A Bit Cloudy, Rainy & Windy in Central Florida this morning!  Woke up to a 4:05am cell phone Tornado Emergency alert - don't care what anyone says what a great system. Outer bands trailing hurricane still impacting East part of Orlando out to Cocoa Beach.  Huge system. Good news, no flooding in this area, unlike Cedar Key & Perry FL.  

No golf today ! All good though! Hope the Spies in GA & SC stay safe!!

Good morning!

It's been a few days off since my long weekend golf trip to Michigan and I'm officially itching to get back out there. Have a driving range session planned for tonight to try out my new driving iron and get a bit more consistent with my ball striking in general.

I recently purchased the G430 5h, 7w and modified 5w.  I had asked about comparisons awhile ago between the 425 and 430 but didn’t get any feedback.  When I did the 430 fitting, I hit really well.  My alternative were the Callaway Rogue STMax but was inconsistent between the hybrid and woods and wanted to stick with one brand, therefore settling on Ping.

The first week I had the Pings, I was hitting them inconsistently, but then adjusted the settings. All of a sudden, amazing.  I settled on the Alta CB Soft Regular to get a higher trajectory and glad I did.  Can’t compare with the 425s but there can’t be that much difference?  I do know that the 430 heads have a single alignment dot and I think the 425s have 3 dots.  If the 425s are adjustable, try them at a pgatss if they let you, then hit the 430s.   Paid the extra money b/c tWife was encouraging me and our club had a Ping fitting day. I’m elated with the result.

The historic downtown area of Cedarburg is so cool, as almost all of the buildings were built in the mid 1800s and are all still standing with businesses running out of them. Tons of local coffee shops (I was thinking of the MANY MGS spies enjoying a different cup each morning ), bakeries and eateries, a great winery, multiple local breweries, I could go on and on. I would put it as a must visit location in Wisconsin for a weekend getaway (lots of good golf in the surrounding areas, too!) 

This week will be a busy one as we get ready for school to start up next week, and both boys will be in school this year (I'm not crying, you're crying! ). Looking forward to the Labor Day weekend that always coincides with my birthday as well, and the Match Play event kicks off next week. My favorite golfing season is almost upon us, as you just cannot beat fall golf IMO, plus bowhunting and football all about to start off.

Good morning everyone! 

I'm up early but later than usual as we get ready to go to the hospital for my wife's surgery. She didn't sleep at all last night, she's a night owl and just couldn't relax enough to get any rest. 

I'm just downing some coffee and spending time with the animals before leaving them for a few hours. They're going to be anxious today and I think they deserve a little lap time before we leave.

I hope every one of you have a good day. I may or may not be able to make the community call this evening. If I can't then I hope y'all have a good time.

Sending positive thoughts again @sirchunksalot and good morning all. After some morning rain yesterday things have cooled right off this morning and it is glorious to say the least. Wife works at a local farm this today while everyone is off at school or daycare for the day. Seems like my son is finally getting into a bit of a groove at school which is nice, as he was not a fan the first couple days, naturally.

Had some fun last night as my son went on a curiosity stream as I like to call it about some dinosaurs. Being a walking bundle of mostly useless facts I was happy to talk him through some basics which he loved. How fossils formed, what it that big semi-circle on its back, how big was that meteor, how did sharks and crocodiles survive, wait why are only tiny birds left not big pterodactyls? It was fun to see his mind rifle through the information and come up with that next question. Now I gotta brush up on some info when he gets older and the questions get harder.

This is a no commute, do some work from home VACATION Day for me today. Will be spending the majority of the day and evening preparing for our Saturday show.

I know that I will miss the community call today due to my scheduled events/activities which need to be completed during that time period, but hope that all who join have a great time interacting as usual.

Make your day the best it can be, and hopefully some golf or other fun activity is in your plans.

Good morning fellow Spies!!! Happy Thursday to you all as we see the month of August come to a close. Temps this week have been great even though I’ve only been able to get out for 9 holes. Looks like we should get another short heat wave over the weekend to scorch the courses a bit more.

I was going through my rounds so far this year and see that I’ve played 51 rounds at eight different courses, although mostly at three courses. The goal was for 50 so I’ll have no issues building on that through October and maybe even November, weather dependent. There is at least one more course that I want to try out this year and I may have to find another one to make it a solid ten. Needless to say, I’ve gotten out for more golf than I expected which is great.

Good morning and happy Thursday! My wife has the day off but I am off to work. We watched Soul last night on Disney+ and wow... What a touching movie. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend. This morning, I  have to swing by the store to get some materials for the classroom. Hoping today is a great day.

Good morning MGSpies from it was a huge full moon making a bright patch of light in the bedroom when the alarm went off this morning in WNY for this last August day 2023 and now start the 'embers months.  Had a good round yesterday in the unseasonably chilly overcast insulated with an extra layer on arms and legs keeping everything moving smoothly.   hot coffee too hot to sip still as the systems are going online for a non-commute workday, posted my intro for the Lean Lock Putter test before retiring last night and a good number of photos for your visual mind, and linked here. 

 

Community call should be (finally) my entertainment for the drive to the PGA HOPE session 3 of 6 at Niagara Frontier GC this afternoon.  Hoping to see everyone including Jason @sirchunksalot with good news about how the day went for his wife and himself on the call.  Hope golf is a part of your day!

Good morning all and happy Thursday. Finally a not super early work morning for me today, and I always get a laugh out of that when getting up at 5:15 feels like sleeping in . Went out on the course last night with my wife and the boys and just played a few holes after dinner. Had some really good ball striking which was nice to see. SWMBO has a girls dinner night this evening, so booked another 6:20pm tee time to go out and dink around with the boys. I like picking the latest time so that we don't hold anyone up and then I can just let the boys have fun and not be rushing them to the next hole. Headed to the lake tomorrow afternoon to kick off Labor Day weekend and then going to head back home Sunday, hoping to get my match play round in on Sunday afternoon or Monday (both days going to be scorchers but work week is busy).

@sirchunksalot sending you and your wife positive thoughts and prayers for her procedure today, please give her my best!
