Thanks fellas! I appreciate it and although I'm a bit nervous, it'll be nice getting answers. I'm curious to hear what the recovery time will be and what to expect. I'm planning on waiting until January to do the procedure since I have three weeks off for winter shutdown and want to actually enjoy some time off.

Good morning! It's a short week this week with only a Monday and Tuesday work schedule. I'm excited to have a quick week and have a nice relaxing holiday. Let's hope this Monday moves along!

Good morning MGSpies for the start of (US) Thanksgiving week in a frosty barely 20F clear sky morning in WNY with stars owning the sky.  Had to restart the hot water heater as job No. 1 this morning before getting online and starting the work week from my zero commute basement command center   curling yesterday was on pointe but my stones were usually missing an ideal shot by inches, there's next week for the next opportunity to place the shots better 

Sending out best wishes, thoughts and intentions for Jason @sirchunksalot and everyone else who has other than uneventful things going on in your lives.  Also reminder to pay attention to being safe this holiday week as in the States it is the most traveled week of the year so extra care please in how you go and extra patience for others and reducing stress especially in self and those demonstrating their restraint is failing 

Forecast keeps improving for the 14 days ahead, snow off the predictions for this week in WNY again, how long will this ride last!  Hope golf is a part of your day

It will be a busy few days here before relaxing into the holiday.  I am very much looking forward to having all three daughters home.  Two were here last night and we had a blast.

Good Morning All....

A beautiful sunny day here in our corner of the mid-atlantic.  

It is a brisk morning at the Shapotomous Backyard Golf Emporium and can we all just appreciate for a moment that after many hours of lawn vac, blower and rake work yesterday, there is no need for a leaf rule in the fairway or rough in spite of our location in the middle of a state forest!!!!  The water hazard still has a blanket of leaves so beware to not come up short.  Of course the cursed leaves will be back by this afternoon so don't expect too much if you have a late tee time here!

Covid test came back negative so my wife has allowed me to leave the bedroom again.   Nice to be back in the free world again

Monday my spies… Mondays on a major holiday week always seem  more of an annoyance than a pure normal pain in the you know what…. Except “ Those People “ are intent on making my last day my of work for the month intolerably long. Have a zoom meeting this morning about proper planning for a holiday week.. What the ••••• Having to do the Zoom meeting will add at least 4 hours to the day for those of us traveling to work locations as we will have to wait until the meeting is over to head out. 
   Rant and venting over. On to more important people and things. First @sirchunksalot good luck at the Medicos today. Hoping that the weather in everybody’s area allows for safe travel and possibly some golf.   
   Her highness is still doing last minute planning for the coming week; hoping I am not invited, infected with , or involved in any of those royal pains… err plans.

Happy American Thanksgiving week everyone...

Pleased to be able to open this up after two weeks of a managing fire officer class that consumed every single brain cell I have to offer.  Finished productively and can now move into the week feeling even better after a nice Bills win last evening.

Gonna take the dude for hike in a few, shop for Thursday and start building a LAB Broomstick to ... uh ... look at

Good morning Spies and happy Monday. Although it is Monday, it's a nice short week so it feels less Monday-like. It also helps when a ton of folks are taking the entire week off, so not much is really going to get done this week. Gotta love that.

Mid 40's and was drizzly here this morning, but the drizzle looks to have past.

Good morning! Had a nice Sunday cleaning the house and getting rid of a few things. It feels good to declutter every once in a while. Today is a brisk morning with a warm cup of coffee kind of day. I'm trying out a new San Francisco Bay coffee and it's quite good.  Work today is going to be very busy, since most of my coworkers are out, but I'm looking forward to the short work week and then we are traveling down to Ohio for a LOT of holiday festivities.

@sirchunksalotGood luck with the surgeon today. Just curious; what keyboard did you use? I have tested out a boatload of different iPhone keyboards over the years, but keep going back to stock (now that they have the swipe to type).

Good morning all from a brisk Wisconsin morning. Had a good weekend with plenty going on as we rarely sit still anymore on non workdays! Yesterday we took the boys to a place called Pin Seekers (think TopGolf copycat) because they have mini bowling in their facility. Our kids love, and I mean LOVE, to bowl. You can imagine the torture it was for me to be there sans golf clubs wanting nothing more than to get into a top tracer bay and have some fun, but oh well. It wasn't for me....this time .

Also, as some of you may remember, I traded for a Ventus TR Blue in R flex a few weeks ago, and came to the conclusion that it was just too soft for my swing. So naturally, I turned around and ordered a 6X this weekend . I was hesitant on the X flex, but given my driver swing speed in recent Mevo sessions has been north of 105 with consistency and relatively low effort, I figured I'd give it a shot.

I used Swype /Dragon since I got my first smartphone in 2012. I can't handle having to type letters individually. Right now I'm trialing a Microsoft keyboard and some of the word suggestions are insane.

I just got out of the surgeon's office and he said surgery was the last option he wanted to explore. We're going to start out with custom braces and see how those go. We're also going to have to try different sized shoes to fit the braces, I'm OK with that. 

In other news, since I was down near a DSG I stopped in and picked up 4 dozen (not sizzling, thank you autocorrect) MaxFli Tour golf balls in yellow for $100. Score! 

My wife and I are about to dine on Chinese buffet. It's been a good day.

Good afternoon spies (I know, I know…. I was super busy early so….)

Cool weather here, no golf today however since the people who pay my salary actually expect something for the  they give me. Sheesh! The nerve!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and Thanksgiving celebration. It has been an interesting year but things are starting to feel “normal” again….mostly. Just glad golf is back in my life. It has been a wonderful addiction and helped me really reduce the burden of storing all that extra cash I had lying around.

Good Day Spies! 

Finally some sunshine in Central Florida.  Just arrived back from weekend in Jacksonville watching collegiate Power Lifting.  Wow! Those youngsters are strong.  My Nephew did a great job, finished 2nd in his weight class. The boy is strong! Got a backache watching them all lift LOL. 

No golf today, back to work this afternoon.  Looking forward to walking 18 tomorrow morning! 
Great news @sirchunksalot, an alternative other than surgery!  Enjoy the Chinese Buffet! MMM!

@Jim Shaw Here are a couple pics of one i made ages ago.  2x6 framing doubled up.  Mine was sized to fit a countertop i had salvaged.  It may be overbuilt a little but it has been very sturdy.

Glad to hear surgery is a further down the line option.   Hoping some doctor I am seeing can recommend a non surgical option for my issue; last one recommended surgery.

I hope so too, Chris. I think it's better to try non surgical means to fix something unless surgery is the only option.

Coffee is hot and it's cool outside.  Up earlier than anticipated but looking forward to getting a round in this morning and then finish prepping for Thursday. 

Got the tree up yesterday for the kiddos and have to find the clips for the house so I can put up the lights this afternoon.
