M7, Zip Navigator, or Alphard cart and V2

Recommended Posts

Considering one of these and I have the following questions as these are$$$.

1) if they have issues do you need to pack and ship them?

2) have people found the companies easy to deal with post sale?

3) assuming 20-30 rounds per year and reasonable care given-what is the life expectancy(the cart not me)?

So my research tells me that I like MGI gyroscope but not so much good about customer service and the weight in the back.  Motocaddy seems like good customer service but constant(ish)correction is required.  Alphard seems to be a wild card.

Thanks as always for your assistance

I recently purchased an Alphard V2 Booster for my Clicgear 4.0 manual cart, and, am I glad I did. I play a hilly course normally in Ontario, just east of Toronto and what a difference it makes. I'm 68, and I am so much fresher at the end of a round. Cost? Well I paid $950 Canadian and thats the best deal I could find up here.  Some of the guys I golf with suggested that the 3 wheel swivel conversion kit that changes the static front wheel into two swivelling front wheels, would be worth looking at. They were right as if you are trying to turn on any concrete etc.. cart path then the static wheel just skidded. Also the V2 booster has 5 different speeeds, and you really couldn't go above the 3 setting and turn without problems. I just used the two wheels I removed to install  the v2 booster which comes with it's own wheels. The front wheels swivel about 30 degrees. Set up time was about 45 minutes for the v2 booster and 15 minutes for the swivel conversion kit. No special tools needed. www.alphard.com under the manual section has all the helpful videos you need, which specify at the start what tools are needed. Cost of the Swivel conversion kit was $119 Can. I have played 3 rounds with them, and, I am loving it.

I have a friend that bought the Alphred V2 with caddy tek cart, he loves it. He also said he feels fresher after a round likes walking without having to push the cart. He gets about 3 rounds in on one charge, but also says he wants/needs the extra battery.

I am considering getting one of these myself.

I have anther friend that bought MGI and she likes hers. Biggest difference is cost IMO. The MGI is an all in one system.

I don't think either has had any issues with their carts or have had to deal with customer service.

At the end of the day the difference between those two is time and money.

The Alphard is cheaper but you have to take it off the cart to fold the cart up...time.

The M7 and MGI cost a lot more but fold up without having to remove anything...money.

Is saving a couple of minutes, if that, worth and extra $400-600.
