yeah I just got the email from LAB about the new DF3.  It does look smaller & I like that they took into account what people have said.  Added the back end with capability to pick up the "gimmies" 

I absolutely LOVE the Blue!

This was a nice touch. 

I am in love with my MEZZ Max Broom and MEZZ 35”. No DF3 in my immediate future.

I loved the size-comparison as well.  I'll be very curious to hear Sam's take on how much LESS forgiving than the 2.1 it is - by all accounts, the 2.1 is their standard-bearer, so can't wait to see if it's 95% as forgiving? 90? Etc.  

But man I like the look of it a lot.  And yeah, @golfinnut - that Blue is fire - I'd be very, very torn between the Blue and the Red.  I went red in my mock-up because apparently as red is the opposite of green (on the color wheel), it has the most contrast when standing over a putt.  I also think the red in the mock-up is better-looking than the red in the 2.1 mock-up.  It's probably exactly the same color, but for some reason it pops better to my eye with the 3.0.

I'm reallllly torn now - I've been eyeing the Mezz Max for awhile, but the 3.0 has really caught my eye.  I need to see this in person before deciding, but this has made my decision harder (yes....I've already decided a LAB will eventually be in my life) 

In case anyone was wondering, this is what I'd go with...Cappuccino w/ white Accra shaft and t-alignment marker.

The DF3 is actually quite a bit bigger looking than I expected! I thought it might be smaller than the Mezz but I am guessing it'll be similar.

I thought it was going to be a little smaller too, but not as small as the Mezz.

I miss the heck out of my Broom as she is in Oregon getting a new engine (TPT). The ice age that hit Georgia the last several days has been somewhat of a help in not having her around.

 

I'm like you in that we can enjoy the DF3 junkies spreading the word about their new babies.....

Sadly, I’m going to have to wait until the (assumed) BF deal this year.

I received a text from a friend yesterday and the first five words: “I have no self control!”
 

Counterbalanced with TPT. I’ll send photos when he gets it in the mail.

I was finally able to roll the Lab putters yesterday at Golf Galaxy. Even though the mallet putters rolled nice the Link 1 was flat out $ for me. I could hit it off the toe heel or dead center and it was pretty much point and shoot for me. The consistency in distance control was pretty ridiculous. I might end up buying one if I can find a deal somewhere. My wife was frowning at the $480 price tag.

I told her that only the expensive putters work for me. Lol

She also shook her head when I said drive for show and putt for dough. Maybe someday she will understand.

Nice @Bad Golfer! If you don’t mind used, you can find good deals in the LAB Facebook group. Happy to send you a link if needed!

One callout: I’d recommend doing a virtual “fitting” through LAB (it’s free) to make sure you get a putter that has correct lie angle.  I get why PGA sells them, but I’d caution anyone purchasing a LAB direct from retailer (given the importance of it being “fit” to the user).

yes, for sure send in your info for the virtual fit - can't recommend this highly enough.  From the sounds of it, you'll be at or near "stock", but definitely worth (as in, it's free ) the fitting to start looking for exactly what you need.

While I also love the Link, there was just something about the bigger head that I miss. About to take advantage of Edison's partnership with LAB and try the DF3, if it doesn't scratch my itch I'm going back to the big boy!

Just an internal partnership basically. All of us at Edison play the LAB putters and nearly every employee at LAB plays our Edison Wedges so we help each other out.

My Broom is heading back to Georgia and is projected to arrive on Saturday.  I sure have missed that sweet long-legged heifer as no doubt several putts that would have been a lock have not been dropping. She went to Oregon for a shaft transplant (to TPT) and I have had Mez Max Withdrawal every day since she's been gone.  Once you go LAB you forget about the putters you HAD.  Not the same. Come home to Papa sweet girl!

You may as well enjoy mockups and wait  I don't think any orders will be arriving anytime soon.  The facebook group/ Lab Rats went nuts buying.  Orders are probably months out.

I just read the review on LAB 3 on mygolfspy.com  

A lot of chatter on this site about them, and I see them crop up on the pro circuit, very few but once in a while.

They intrigue me enough to go to golf town and try them out...
