That was my territory for the past 10 years. I played most of those courses and there are a lot of nice ones in that area. I actually met up with @BallsLeon and played a round at Iron Horse with him.

Sounds like fun but I have a fishing trip on the books the week prior.  Hopefully one of these events can find its way west of the Mississippi.

The firzr options I looked at this were multiple areas out west.  Let’s just say tbr respnaiivness and cooperation from tne ones I contacted was pretty sad.

That's unfortunate.  Some of the options we discussed in the DM a few months sounded like great resorts/courses.

It is and I was excited about some of then .  But it’s a matter of when not if we bend one out west.

It appears my walk up music and big driver case entrance will have to wait for another outing as the stars just aren’t lining up for me. I’m heading out to OR in early June and this will be to close to that for the logistics to work. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next one.

Looks like spots are flying and filling up quickly!

See most definitely want to host more of these in the future. That being said they are a lot of work, time and effort to put together. So big thanks to all those involved. I know it was a process!

We are going to make efforts to have these be another core pillar of the forum. 

It was on the community call, but with the event starting Thursday we could be in for an epic community call!

Little too out of my travel zone and budget at the moment. My sons wedding is a few days before that, and his bride to be insists on a traditional wedding (230+guests and counting) plus traveling the 3rd week for his college graduation.

Great to hear!!  I was planning on stopping in during the trip to meet you.  I am working to coordinate this trip with visits to Johnson City, TN and  Dublin, GA... not sure where to fly into yet.

I will "tip my hand" a bit here and say that I have plans to be in Williamsburg from May 28 through June 3, but my accommodations are at a different location.

SWMBO is coming along and does not play but does enjoy watching at times.

Since this MGS trip is a "Stay & Play" event, I need to see if they will allow additional golfers once the MGS event is filled.

Even if that may not happen, I would hope that an opportunity would arise where I could at least come and visit with other Spies.

More to come once all the MGS Outing details get finalized.

Rob told me it would be a while after the official event is full to see the potential of additional golf only people.

Even if it would be possible to stop over and see the group, that would make it a worthwhile thing too.

I can give the tutorial on where to hit it at RNK and unfortunately also one on not where to hit it.

RJ. Glad you posted this as it didn’t come up in our discussion last night.   Even if the golf only doesn’t work out for you.    By all means you are welcome to come hang out wherever we may gather after golf.   Whether it’s in one of the condos, a local restaurant  or if MGS leaves the doors unlocked and we crash that one night.
 

There is another site out there that does a lot of events and strictly forbids anyone not paying to play to come hang out.  That is certainly not MGS style.   
 

I believe we had  one member come to the Queenstown outing to hand out and might have gotten one round in.  
 

So either way. We’ll be happy for you to join the crowd.

Now that I am back in NY full time we now do an outing in essentially my former back yard?  I have a trip planned to the area in April for a two day tournament as well as a one day at RNK to defend my Invicta Challenge title. That means unfortunately I can’t make this outing as much as I tried to make it fit. Two years in a row that I just can’t make it work, bummer.

The easy solution is to beat me so badly on the course I have nothing to say….
