I don't know if you can get too excited, I've been looking up YouTube videos and checking out the courses on different tracking apps.

Bought a 7" tablet (mostly to take over some of my online reading from phone, and to try on the community calls) .. got it set up and have installed Swing U on it to preview the Kingsmill courses..!

May bring it on the trip to use as a hole layout / yardage guide.

There are still a couple spots left, and I spoke to the rep at the resort this morning, they will have everything set up within a day or two for you to cal in the deposits.   I'll let you know when it's all set!!

• 3 Days and 3 Rounds of golf-1 each on the Plantation, Woods and River course
• 3 Bedroom/3 Bath Condos
• Extra rounds and nights on an individual basis can be arranged as the date gets closer for those
• Cost $1180 Per Person All included,  $395 Deposit required Per Person

@GolfSpy_BEN and @Getoffmylawn will be handling a lot of the day to day details of the event, if you have any questions you want to ask offline just send a DM to all three of us and somebody will get back to you right way.  

Based on the last two years outings, we expect this to fill up pretty quickly  So don't hesitate.  It will be on a first come first pay basis.

I actually just finished booking my flights. 

I am getting in on the 27th or 28th depending on delays  

Going to spend some time with the HQ crew and get to see the shop so to speak. Maybe even get a round of golf in on one of those days as a warm up. Booked to leave first thing in the morning on the 3rd, but unfortunately had to pick a 12 hour layover at JFK. However the price was the best I have seen in the last 2 months so couldn't pass it up.

That'll be a cool experience getting to see HQ and meeting the staff. I'm also glad you found a deal on a flight to come over.

Flight prices were fine. My flights to Sweden in April are actually more expensive.

After watching a few episodes it is interesting how the courses have changed.  The Bray Links course is now the Lazy River.  And the dogleg right 18th on the Plantation course where they first hit drivers (episode 3) has been completely redesigned.

I just (re)started the series tonight.  I'll keep a look out for those.  

A buddy of mine had his rehearsal dinner at Kingsmill 5 or 6 years ago.  I couldn't get over how gorgeous the resort was.  I was 3 years or so into playing golf and I could only dream of playing there (and going to MGS HQ).

12 hours at JFK means 8 hours in Manhattan - you'll do just fine

To my count ( @Golfspy_CG2 can correct me) we are at 15 of 16 spots so far. Doesn't mean we can't necessarily not add more, but if you are interested be sure to fill it out soon.

Alright, so somehow or other I'll be there for this thing Immeasurably excited to get to meet all of you who will be there, and I'll be bringing cameras galore to try and document as much as possible.  

As I have no swing software, I'm already crying foul at not knowing the courses and that's why I'll be losing by (minimum) 10 strokes every round.  UNFAIR!!!!!

So while I'm not watching the Big Break in prep, I am going through all the benefits I have for organizations and how best to make this a deal-driven vacation, luckily my American Outlaws US Soccer benefits gets me some cheaper car rental rates, so that's a fantastic way to go about it me thinks.

As mentioned both in this thread and in our PM, the real benefit of this is the camaraderie, although I do hope to play better golf than at the initial appearance, as I only got it really going on the middle part of the final round. It's not the point really, but you want a good showing!

  Also, for anyone looking, AutoSlash.com is an INSANE deal-finding website - I've found they're significantly cheaper than alternates, and the bonus is if you sign up for a membership (I think it's pretty reasonable - I managed to get mine for free as I signed up when they first opened shop), they literally check the price for you and if they find it's gone down, they re-book it at the lower rate.  Just fwiw. 

  I'll obviously be booking a convertible limousine (I'm calling it Limo Bizkit in honor of @Lacassem) so that we can cruise in style up and down the streets of the 'Burg.
