My driving and approach need a whole lot of work. But I am saved by my chipping/putting so I have to lean short game overall.

Also, Great topic! Should be cool to see how our comrades would play if we were to catch a tee time.

For me it’s irons and wedges. Even when my game is off I can count on my wedge play (inside 130) to be solid. For example, today I hit my drive on a par 5 straight into a tree and came down 6 inches from the trunk. It moved me maybe 40 yards forward. I chipped it to the fairway then went 5i onto the green from 230ish and had a two putt par haha. Many times I’ve said I should hit irons off the tee but the driver is too much fun 😂

Great subject! Well, here's what Arccos has to say...

Two guesses what my winter and early season focuses have been. Ha ha.

Worth noting, Arccos handicap differs from USGA/GHIN handicap, which is 7.3. Through winter training my irons feel a lot more consistent and I have distances and shot shape more dialed. I've used the indoor putting green I have access to a fair bit, but I need more time on real grass greens now winter is receding. Then maybe I can improve on that awful putting handicap.lol

According to Arccos when I had it off the tee was the best part of my game. I guess that would be true when it’s gong good to mediocre but when it’s off it’s way off. Love the option for being on the range because honestly I always feel like I’m striping it on the range just can’t get it to translate to the course every time!

Short game for me and it's pretty much a no brainer. My ball striking and consistency off the tee has improved tremendously even over the last year, but I've always been good with my hands. Anything 100 yards and in, around the green, and putting is how I used to save strokes when the other stuff was failing me.

I was going to say my divot repair game is next level, but that wasn’t an option so we’ll go with short game. I just enjoy hitting different pitch and full swing shots with my wedges, and like the challenge.

According to Arccos over my last 10 rounds last season, driving was the strongest part of my game and it wasn’t even close. Approach was by far the worst, and I’d say this held pretty true with how the season finished. My driving is easily the most inconsistent aspect of my game. If it’s on, I am in good position to shoot my better scores. When it’s off, it’s disastrous. I attest a lot of my struggles with approach to chunking shots or having to hit punch outs from bad drives. Worked really hard this offseason on my swing and hoping to see it translate to more consistency this season.

I’d have to say short game right now.

My driving used to be automatic, but this has been a struggle over the last couple years.   Went through a period where I lost my swing and it’s starting to come back a little bit now.  Have hit more fairways and greens recently.

1. Putting is definitely the strongest part of my game, always has been (to me anyway)

2. Approach shots, 120 yards and in, I am 85% able to land the green, just not always where I WANT IT TO BE... 🤣

3. Driving is coming along, getting  alot better on dispersion, just not distance .

4. Chipping/pitching.  This is very subjective for me. 25 yards and in is a finicky game. I can't even give a percentage. Lie,  landing area, green speeds, if I skull it, chunk it,  short it, the list goes on.

5. Fairway 200 yards Out, I'm 50/50 on shot accuracy, definitely need to dig in on this part.

Definitely putting. I have a pretty good ability to read greens. That and I get a feel for them rather quickly. I scramble pretty well too, but by far, putting.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Driving the ball has always been my favorite and best part of my game.  Any chance to put the ball anywhere you want on a tee box, teed at a certain height gives you the most control over your game.  Fairways, rough and putts...you're stuck with where you end up...I always thought having a driver gave me an edge.

I know what is not the best part of my game and that is par 3 - so approach play. For one reason or another I just struggle on them.

Putting I would classify as my overall best strength along with 3 putt avoidance.

I was always always ALWAYS anxious on par 3s, until I started playing a par 3 course. Sometimes we'd play ot 3 times in a day just to try different distances, clubs,  etc.  It really helped me to get over MOST of my par 3 issues.   Now consistency, that's a different story...😆

Believe it or not, my game got much better when I had a mind shift about the seriousness of golf. I belittled myself to such a terrible place at times during a round. It was pretty exhausting. I had to learn, and am still learning, to be kinder to myself.

Since last fall best part of my game, if there is such thing, has been the short game. Prior to that point the driver was an automatic but something "fell off the fence" so to speak and that part of my game completely vanished and is yet to be found...

Here is Canada golf in the winter is a no go for our group so it's 6 months of golf. We play on Mondays starting at around 4:00 PM so in the spring fall we play executive courses, summer longer ones.

My game was bloody awful, slice my driver, bad hits on irons, the only thing that wa, irpns decent was my putting. I would shoot 88 on a par 56/57.

I started watching Danny Maude on YouTube and my last game in 2023 I shot a 69 on a par 57. Everything improved, driving straight, hitting well with irons and wedges. Still haven't played this year, looking forward to it.

For me it’s definitely my approach and chipping game tend to be my strong points any where from like 180 in. My longer irons 6,5,4 need a little work i have been hitting a slight fade. Driver and woods are just atrocious. I can go a couple holes with some decent drives and out of nowhere i get a wicked slice. Got a new putter so hopefully that can help a little in avoiding 3 putts.

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round.
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.

You didn’t give me my real strength - the 19th hole. I excel there!

Lately it’s been chipping and putting selected short game. But if short game include stuff from 40-100 - I will switch to putting. 😞

My figures so far this year definitely have my short game as my strength. I need to work on the driving but hoping that the new Ping G430 Max will help with that. Only played one round with it so far and it’s definitely looking promising.
I want to work on my putting too as that’s an area I can definitely make an improvement in
