I think someone mentioned Yes! Putters which was a good one. They had such a unique face and based off the community call last week we know that Adams or now TaylorMade own them or the technology.

Funny how things going round and round.

Does Browning still make clubs? I have a set (missing the 7) of Browning 440 irons that my Uncle made about 20 years ago. He has since past on and I will never give them up (not playing them, but they are a keepsake.)

I have a 6 iron in the closet, I built it long ago to try.

My first set of clubs after getting my commission to 2LT in early 70's were RAMs. Man I liked those sticks. Still have them stored away in the barn. I believe they were a Dave Hill model.

I would like to add Tommy Armour (although Dick's has them as a house brand and with the reintroduction of the 845 irons I thought they would be a flagship again a Dick's./Golf Galaxy).  Seems they are being quickly being relegated to "super discount we're not making them anymore" pricing.  My love the the TA 845s is directly related to the fact I still own my first set of "real" irons that I bought - the 845s Silver Scot patent pending (purchased in '17).  However as others have noted I have have some Northwestern, Lynx, MacGregor irons; Toney Penna, Northwestern non-laminated persimmon woods and plasiticized Spalding woods.  Balls - I've got a couple dozen of balata balls: Spalding, PGA, Acushnet (Titleist's parent company).

WITB? Ping G400 SFT w/Aldila Mamba shaft R flex; Ping G410 3w; Ping G400 3h(19), 4h(22), 5h(26); TaylorMade SLDR 5i (interchanges w/5h)-PW -stock graphite shafts Rflex; INDI FLX-S wedges (50, 54, 58) w/Recoil graphite shafts -Rflex and Odyssey AI-One 7T BD Milled (aka Millie), ball choice tends to be Pro-V1 or simliar 3pc urethane balls.

I built several Snake Eyes hybrids from Golfsmith for my buddies back in the previous century when hybrids weren’t really a thing. Some of them are still playing them. I was surprised to see that there is a Snake Eyes golf brand today.

Anyone remember Daiwa?  My first set of brand new clubs were Daiwa that I bought in my early 20's.  I used hand-me-down clubs in my teens. The Daiwa set had composite shafts as graphite was just becoming known in the golf industry.  I gamed these for 10-15 years before moving into Taylormade Rac LT.

My weapons of choice:

How about KASCO K2K hybrids with their Super Hyten metal that made them the longest hybrids ever. I fell for the marketing when they appeared on The Hot List, that was long before MGS was born. Damn things did go pretty far though, or perhaps I was just younger and stronger back then.

Probably maraging steel which dates at least to the 1970s or as early as the 1950s and is still basic to all non Ti or non carbon-blend steel faces..  I think maraging was a big part of Barney Adams promotion.

Dunlop golf equipment!

Clubs and bags throughout the 80s- early 2000s that were produced by Dunlop.

Later they were bought out by Sumimoto. (Who also own Cleveland and Srixon, and a bunch of other sports companies)

The clubset I own, (and currently play) are over 25 years old. They are Foremost 551 series (and I believe the last dunlop club sets produced)

Dunlop golf has a long history too.

I had a set of Dunlop irons many year ago. I didn't really like them, so I got rid of them after two years for a set if Callaways. The best part of my Dunlop purchase was that the salesman talked me out of trading in my Callaway s2h2 irons, and I still have them to this day. They're my all-time favorite clubs I've ever owned.

I also tested a dozen Dunlop golf balls for the old PGAT Partners Club. I really liked that ball. It was long, and I shot  mid 70s round, which is really good for me, the first time out. However, it was one dozen and done, as I don't ever remember seeing them in a store.

AKA Dark Horse

State of my game:  "Breaking 85" is the new "Breaking 80".
