Well Monday morning I had the privilege to play at Colonial Country Club as a reward for volunteering at the Dean and Deluca Invitational earlier in the year. Playing this course was kind of a dream for me with Ben Hogan being one of my golf heroes and the history that's been made there over the years. I've been going to that tournament since I was a kid, although I haven't gone in a few years. As a teenager I would get the chance to play Diamond Oaks with my uncle, and I'd pretend the wooded course was my own Colonial.

 

Needless to say, I'm very jealous Ethan. Hope you had a great time. I may have to volunteer at the Dean & Deluca next year!

Thanks y'all it definitely was a bucket list round for me. I meant to get more pictures but I kinda blanked out once the golf started lol. You don't get a feel for how narrow the course really is watching on tv, I can see why there were a lot of irons and Woods off the tee at the tournament but the greens were SO pure I can also see why they can make some of the highlight reel putts too. Just a great course.

The same thing happens to me about pictures. Should find a camera crew to follow on these bucket list rounds. That could be a new business adventure. Just following guys at great courses taking pictures, but would have to find a camera man. I would be too busy trying to sneak in and play.

Thats very cool Ethan.  A chance to play where the pros play.  No other sport really offers that.   I mean it's not just everyday you can get invited to come down to Wrigley Field and take batting practice, or get up a group of guys and toss and tackle at Lambeau Field.

shot 82, crappy iron shots are really penalized there but I made some good putts that made the round a little better. I could've shot 90 and had the time of my life though.

just under 6600 yards so it wasn't too long but man if you missed a fairway in the wrong spot good luck making par lol.
