Curious as to what shafts you went with on the 223's, and looking forward to additional comments you have on them after playing with them a bit.

Great looking set up!

Thank you @rkj427!

I was fitted into the KBS Tour Lite stiff shafts, which weigh in at 100g.  I am used to 120-130g shafts, but the fitting process didn’t lie.  We tested many side by side.

I will write an informal review after getting some rounds in.

Working at getting better ... and very slowly getting there.

softie would work probably, but I cant afford to replace my set and the only way damage is covered is if its a hard case per their guidelines on traveling with things like that.

cost of hardcase < cost of me entire club set.

I packed foam around my clubs in particular the heads as a bent broken shaft was cheaper to replace, it took awhile to pack but I was confident it would arrive in one piece if not lost 😞 on the plus side there must be a few golfers 🏌️♀️ working in the airlines luggage areas…

I just bought this beauty of a driving iron today. I have never been able to hit a driving iron consistently because my swing has never been good enough. I have put a ton of time into my golf game and have finally gotten my swing into a great spot. I hit it on the range today and it felt WONDERFUL! I can't wait to get out and use it on the course!

That's a nice looking club, I've liked driving irons for ever thanks I'm looking for one. If you decide it doesn't work for you I'd be interested in buying...

Just wondering if anyone has the Stitch SL2? Obviously seen a billion reviews but trust this forum.

I live in NYC and while I do ride quite a bit, I have to walk a lot to Grand Central, ride the trains out to LI/Westchester, etc.  Simply my current Sun Mountain (which has broke) feels big and I get tired walking around the city with it

I do not carry a lot of stuff but also want to know if it will last over time, last on a cart, etc.  Thanks all

Looking at 2 driving irons and need a users opinion plz, 1st Mizuno Fli-Hi 2 Utility iron 18deg, 2nd Ping Crossover 4 Utility Iron 24deg …

So besides the difference in loft has anyone had a hit with both and will share there views I’d appreciate that, one other thing the Ping has a soft-reg graphite shaft and the Mizuno has a steel reg shaft… Thanks 🙏

I have hit both and preferred the Mizuno personally. I preferred the shape and feel but of course the is subjective. The Mizuno was also flatter so I hit it better and didn't have a Ping in a flatter lie to try then. I think they are both good clubs. I personally ended up getting a Tour Edge Exotics EXS Ti-Utility 17 degree. Looked almost the same as the Mizuno, not quite as solid on the sound but was much cheaper and and got basically identical results.

Nice! I like a hard case also .. have a Samsonite.

Couple of things I'd suggest, FYI - the SKB case itself is heavy so watch the total weight as you pack it up; take the driver head off and stuff shoes or extra clothes etc in the extra space; and then double check your rental car in Hawaii that the hard case can fit inside somewhere (and don't leave it in the car parked anywhere...).

Almost forgot about the weight thing.  Good news is from brewing beer so much I have a scale so I can double check.

driver head I can remove, 3w head isn’t though 😕

So true story: spent several hours in a PGA Superstore with my "niece" (one of four kids of my closest friend from high school to whom I'm "uncle" 😊) and her boyfriend looking at and trying out new gear for her .. putter, bag, iron/hybrid set .. as a birthday present from her boyfriend .. and I ONLY bought ONE SMALL thing!!!!

..a new Bionic Stable Grip glove

Hoping it'll help the old, weakening fingers..?

(..in actuality I needed to get change of $100 bill to tip the fitter who was helping her out - he seemed to know what he was doing and .. really care about the results she was getting and put her into something that would help her - good guy!)

So true story:  when my wife and I were in Palm Springs two Januarys ago, we went to a Roger Dunn Golf Shop.  They had a lot of used clubs to try, and she was looking for a new(er) hybrid.  While she was warming up the fitter guy brought her a club to try.  It wasn’t any better.  Then he said that what she needed was a new glove.  He brought her a Bionic Stable Grip  glove.  She loved it.  Her hands are crap like mine, and she immediately started hitting her hybrid much better.  Now she plays with those gloves on both hands.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Picked up a pair of Oakley Flak 2.0 XL sunglasses with the Dark Golf lens. Should arrive this week and it’s been about 10 years since I got myself a new pair of sunglasses for golf! Also got my HZRDUS Smoke Blue RDX shaft back this weekend from getting built for my driver. Really looking forward to some range time and course opening this weekend!

I was looking at one of those too.  Let us know how you like it!

I went and practiced with it on Saturday in somewhat high winds and temps in the mid 50s. I started at about 30 yards and got used to the feel of it. This one is noticeably heavier than my other full toe wedges (due to the strategically placed extra weight low on the toe). The shaft (DG Spinner 115 Tour Issue) seems a little stiffer than what I'm playing in my other 2 "higher lofted" wedges (Nippon Modus 3 Wedge) but the trajectories are somewhat similar. After I got used to the feel, I had a few obligatory chunks and blades (not as many as I thought I would have- over-anxious to see results). Overall, it was really easy to hit a lot of different shots. I took a few random pot-shots at the pins 45 & 55 yards just to see how easy/difficult it would be. I was really happy with the trajectory and how well the shots stopped or had a relatively short roll-out. Obviously, wind had a little bit of influence on quite a few shots.  I was impressed with how comfortable I got with it in a short time.

I went back out Sunday afternoon, (warmer temps/ gentle breeze) and tried it again. I was mostly working on the 30ish and 45ish pins. It was really easy to get the shots I wanted, but my shot placement was off (operator error- definitely not the club). Different trajectories were easy to achieve. Again, I took a few pot shots at the flag 50ish away just to see if I could get them to clear the ridge in the green and settle close to the flag in the back on the top tier. It was fun to do that and watch how quickly they stopped, and it was easier than it had been on Saturday. I thought that could definitely be a double-edged sword. I could possibly start believing my own press releases and think I can do that all the time with the same results (which is the goal). At the same time, it helps give me the confidence to try them. My accuracy got a lot better. I normally have my wedges 2* flat and this one was standard. So, I didn't expect my aim to be perfect, but it was really close. I was also impressed with the variety of shots available.

I'm pretty sure this 64* has replaced my 58* for my go-to wedge from 45ish in. I hope this helps you and isn't information-overload.

This showed up.

SKB ATA Deluxe standard travel case.  Bought used for significant savings.

Traveling to Hawaii in a few weeks and bringing my set with me for the first time ever.  Southwest only covers damage if things are in a hard case so.. as I am not rich AF I’ll deal with the inconvenience of a hard case.

It will fit a c-130 case if the side pockets are empty.

will do a full review once I actually travel with it.

I had the same case and purchased for the same reason - the airline I was using only covers damages for a hard case. Sadly, it didn't last too long after our move to Texas. I didn't have the need or the space for it and sold it. Great cases though and the fact they will also give you up to $1500 in the event of damaged clubs (at least they did when I bought mine) is another good reason to deal with the headache.

Well the final club purchase has finally been made for the start of this season *knock on wood* decided to go with the M-Grind over the T-Grind for the near term as it is what I am use to with my current SM8. However I do see the possibility for getting the T later with more testing of it.
