I think I have mastered restraint. My afternoon meeting canceled. I'm sitting in my hotel room 2 miles from a PXG fitting center and actually not going. I even want more shiny stuff. Just because I want more. I mean really, do we even need a reason!

No, don’t need a reason.  We had a 4th join us this morning and he looked like a PXG salesman, complete bag except for putter.  Man PXG sure makes purty equipment.  He hit them well, decent player.

I'm already proud of myself. I made it past closing time. But I get it. You are using peer pressure to get back at me for the Pinehurst pressure.

I knew I shouldn't have posted anything. You and Rick had me looking at their website in the overstock section. Luckily everything is by appointment and my schedule for the next two days is packed. Otherwise there might have been a 60* wedge flying home with me.

On Friday I was playing golf and caught up to a group of three on hole 17. I only had two holes left and wasn’t in a rush. What was I going to do play through with one hole left?

The 18th hole is a par 5 and the green is pretty much surrounded by water except for maybe 20 yards directly behind the green. The three gentleman finished up and returned to their carts. They each had their own. I’m 200 out and in the center of the fairway with a cart getting ready to hit when one of them comes back with a ball retriever and goes fishing for balls. Never even picked his head up and looked to see if anyone was coming. He worked around the entire green. I was going to yell but then decided to just be quiet as I’m a new member and didn’t want to start something. Then I thought about hitting but the green is small and the likely hood of hitting him was better than average. He started walking back to his cart but then stopped, turned around and worked his way back around the pond again looking for more balls. This took a good 20 minutes. I was going to complain in the pro shop but then he was sitting in there cutting up with the Pro and other members.

I don’t mind people looking for balls but don’t hold up someone else. Next time I’m yelling to clear the green. 

I so can’t tolerate inconsiderate or oblivious people.

 

I just joined the golf league at Indigo. LOL one of the written rules is NO golf ball hawking. First offense they will give you a 2 stroke penality second offense 2 week suspension. 3 rd time is the charm you are OUT!!! Now you can retrieve your ball but it better not unduly hold up play

I was on a par 3 today and hit to a slight depression on the right-hand side of an elevated green. I couldn’t see the bottom of the depression, so I couldn’t see the ball. I get to the green and the ball had rolled off and into a bunker, one of my least favorite places to be.

I let out a big groan pulled out my sand wedge. I hit the ball out of the bunker better than I expected, cleared the bunker and the top lip of the green. Then when I get up to the green I can’t see the ball and thought it rolled all the way across to the other side. I walk past the cup and there it is in the cup.

So, I had my best bunker shot ever, the first time I’ve ever hit from a bunker to the cup and the first time I’ve ever made a birdie from a bunker, and I didn’t get to see to since I was lower than the bunker and the green. I was ecstatic nonetheless.
