New Ping irons?

The numbers were very similar which was expected of the iron head.  The bonus was that the Recoils were producing as well and actually yielded slightly faster swing/ball speeds and longer carry.  I really liked the ball flight and dispersion was great (best I could tell).

Recoils putting up slightly better numbers.

I gave their "Core-eye" areas as good a workout as I could .

More irons and shafts to test at my Truespec fitting, but this combo is looking pretty solid.

Please bare with my questions since your the first person to have hit these I have some questions which I hope you can answer for me.

How is the sound? I bought the G700's when they came out and I still cant get used to the sound

I cant feel the position of the head on my G700's with graphite shafts, feels like am swinging a dowel, how do these felt ?

Did you try any graphite shafts?

They are much smaller than G700 or G710 and arguably amongst the least visually offending GI's on the market.  I tested them with the Recoil SMACWrap ES780/F3 shafts. To me the sound was very similar to the G410's which I find acceptable... but then again, I'm not that fussy about sound.  FWIW, I did not like the G710's and they performed poorly for me.

Well, am going to have to take a trip to the PGA superstore and give them a try!

Liked the 410's when I tried them, dont know why I went with the G700's, marketing?

Ping's change to actual lie angle for length additions and subtractions was always 0.75* (so it's been said).  I have a set of green dot +1/2" ISI-S, which means they should be 1.25* up.  

This subject has spawned a lot of posts on golf forums over the last couple decades.   Such fun.  LOL

The only company to push out was Ping right? Mizuno initially pushed back, but then released on schedule due to demand.

That's why LM's that capture strike location and club face at impact data is so important IMO.  It's what I did not get at my Truespec fitting last month but will on the re-do fitting they offered. I've been concerned about the +1" since the start... suspect it is making it harder for me to get the face back to square on the long irons in particular.
