Hi De Ho, golfers!  Forgive me, but I watched an episode of Home Improvement.  A rather warm and humid round of golf this morning, but I will take sweat any day instead of cold weather.  Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

Well its late afternoon/early evening but I'm taking a break from the week long billing audit I've been trapped in. Also lost a day to work on it due to some out of town folks coming from another part of the company, and we had to show them around so that was fun. However, I did get my fitting done for the PGA Pappas club champion giveaway last Saturday and holy crap was it AWESOME. Peet asked if I would do a write up on it, and I was more than happy to provide! Attached is a link to the blog post if any of you all want to read it. I can only say I had a blast and I can't wait for the AI Smoke Triple Diamond to get built so I can put it in play!

This is probably my favorite swing from the session! Shows that the Triple Diamond can indeed be quite forgiving and the claim by Callaway that off center ball speeds are still terrific.

Just saw the newest testing opportunity for a few lucky right handers!  Looking forward to seeing how they perform and compete against some of the other names out there.

Busy family morning of errands and chores around the house and then my normal afternoon round with the guys.  Going to be another hot one!

Morning All,

Vice irons for testing?!?! I never would have imagined seeing any vice golf clubs. I am not in the game for new irons, but if they perform well, when that time comes I may have to consider them. It makes sense that it would be their next endeavor with as popular as they have become. 
 

Today there’s no golf in the forecast as the wife and I are going to be volunteering at our Ruritan Club’s “Bourbon, Bacon, and Beer” Festival. Going to see about tomorrow, but we will see. In the mean time, I’m drinking coffee and preparing for the day. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone! 

It's a beautiful morning here and it's supposed to be a scorcher here later today. I'm planning on hitting the range a bit later to prepare for our game Wednesday. We're playing a course (Nob North) that I've wanted to play for years and never have. I'm excited to finally get down there and play 

It's cool to see the Vice iron test and find out how they perform. With that and the Vortex rangefinders, it's been a great week for member testing. 

@Wheelieb that festival sounds like a great time! 

@rkj427 I can't wait to see the photos from the event and hope you raise lots of money for Leader Dogs.

@TJ Hall I can feel your pain on the contest, I was as high as 77 yesterday and dropped like a rock. 

I hope this Saturday is a good one for all of you.

Good morning, everyone. No golf today but I will be on the course for the last day of the member/guest at Arbor. Been storming since about 3am so we shall see how well the course holds up after some heavy rain. Just hoping for some softness in the greens as they’ve been really firm the last couple of weeks. Even a high wedge is currently rolling out a god 5-10 feet in their current state. Hope everyone is able to enjoy their Saturday!

You know? We talk about beautiful mornings, but this one takes it! The sun is bright, birds are singing, no humidity, cloudless skies, temperatures in the upper 60's... PERFECT day for golf! 

After the storms rolled through last night they took all that humid, hot air with the front, so we get two days of nice! Then, that hot stuff is supposed to be headed our way with temps in the upper 90's by mid-week. I can only imagine the humidity, yech! 

Headed to one of my local courses to roll some putts: still not quite ready for full swings, but getting closer. Maybe tomorrow. I hope that everyone has an incredible day, hit 'em straight MGS Nation! Fairways and greens!

0530 reported for golf course duties.  200+ person tournament... again...   plus a full tee time sheet.  But somehow, seeing the virginity of a course before its played, is just pure and inspiring!

Good morning my fellow spies.. Taking first mandatory break of the day. The heat is on and there will probably be four or five mandatory breaks depending on the heat index. The pre-work meeting was started and finished with “ informing “ the crew to stay hydrated. While the “ snow blower “ / “ helicopter “ management style of a decade or so ago has receded into being a horrid memory ( Use to have hydration specialists on site ) it is still somewhat baffling to have to constantly tell supposed adults to stay hydrated. 
   I should be able to venture back to the realm of her high highness by late Monday.. My “ Budget Busting Beauty “ has informed me that she has found a cute vehicle that makes her feel big when behind the wheel…. farewell family finances, farewell. 
   Here is to hoping all of the MGS dads have an early and joyful “ Father’s Day “   
   May everyone had a great weekend.

Best part of my Father’s Day weekend is I have permission to buy (and drink) plenty of bourbon haha! Hope you all have a good time out there today.

Good morning all and happy Saturday! Took the boys up to the carnival last night and met one of our oldest son’s friends and his family there. They also have a daughter in our youngest son’s class. We really haven’t gotten to know them yet, so it was a super fun evening. His dad golfs and is quite good, so hoping to play some rounds with him this summer and then have the boys tag along a couple times too. Don’t want to share anyone else’s kids faces on the internet, but here’s a couple cute ones that keep it anonymous. Everyone had a blast!

Good morning, Spies! Back at the Casa where my furbabies are happy to see me. So is GF.

I'd been wondering where the pros at Pinehurst were warming up for their rounds. The normal practice range, called Maniac Hill, is covered with hospitality buildings and the guests have been hitting into nets there for months while Open construction was underway.

Yesterday I figured it out with the help of a random mention on PGA Tour Radio. The range is The Cradle, my favorite par-3 loop. There is a flat area next to the first tee of The Cradle where they have you warm up for your round -- with foam balls, I kid you not -- and there are wooden chairs where you can sit with a beverage and watch the golfers play all those par-3s. That flat area is now the practice tee, and they hit out over the Cradle course itself. Just saw Scottie warming up for the third round he barely made, hitting balls from that same flat area, which was kind of a weird feeling. I guess they left the pins on some of the Cradle greens to serve as targets.

I'll never play Pinehurst #2 under an Open setup, but Donald Ross grew up on/was inspired by Royal Dornoch before he came to North Carolina and started designing American courses by the boatload. And I have played Dornoch in a 30-mph wind, and experienced playing ping pong back and forth over tiny crowned greens. So I have some idea what they've been dealing with.

Plan today is to do a lot of studying, watch a little Open, and do a Rypstick workout later now that my back seems to be back to its usual state of abnormal.

@David Leighton Reid I'm the exact opposite of your weather preference. If I never experienced an 85-degree day for the rest of my life I would be quite content with that. Looking very much forward to Scotland, where today's forecast high at Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club is 14 Celsius (that would be 57 F). With, of course, a 16-mph wind. It'll probably be a tad warmer by the time I arrive (tournament at Dornoch three weeks from today), but I doubt if it will get to 70 while I'm there.

Saturday and I’m the only one up with our dogs, who are running amuck at the moment! Plan to wake the family up by mowing the lawn soon they’ll all be thrilled about that one. Then 3 we 9 holes slated for me and 3 of my hooligans. It going to be an adventure this afternoon for sure! Hope you all have great weekends and all you dads have a great Father’s Day tomorrow.

Good morning spies! It is supposed to get up to 112 this afternoon, hot enough to feel the black pavement heat through the bottom of my shoes. Played a mediocre round yesterday with some good and some not so good shots.

Diamondbacks played a good game last night and it was Pride night at the ballpark. My wife and I always watch people at the games. Sometimes that is better than the game itself. Last night's people watching was.... interesting to say the least.
