Good Friday morning Spies!

Another cooler day on tap although I hope the humidity is down from yesterday's steamy, damp roast... Marshall duties this afternoon so the drop is welcome after Tuesday's 104 temp.

My day to cook breakfast so it's off to the local cafe again for a good Denver omelet and I'm pretty sure SWMBO will have her French toast...

Congrats again on your anniversary with MGS @Josh Parker!

Good morning all and happy Friday! Short day at the office for me today as I am working a volunteer shift at the annual Lenny Alexander Youth Baseball Tournament in Reedsburg this afternoon. It is a HUGE, three day tournament with well over 100 teams across multiple age divisions. I'll be grilling and running field maintenance at one of the ball fields from 12:30 - 3:30. After that, the plan is to get back up to the practice area at the course with the boys to continue working on Drive, Chip and Putt practice with my oldest while his younger brother just goofs around and has fun lol. Maybe play a few evening holes with the boys and my wife as well depending on how the night goes.

Then tomorrow I have a 10:40 tee time with some friends which I am looking forward to. Should be a beautiful day tomorrow for some golf!

Good Morning everyone!  I’m sure most of you are happy it’s Friday; to me it’s just another day.   Back is still sore, even after a great massage yesterday.  I’m taking it easy; preparing for a weekend of golf/flog in 105-109º heat.  It looks like it cools off on Tuesday.

After watching The Open Championship… maybe some light gardening and short game work.  Getting used to the reverse-armlock putting; feels better, but wish our greens were back to their normal speed… still slow!!

I’m in Sacramento at the moment. We will be heading to Southern California later to today to see our son and daughter in law. They are in Huntington Beach. Spend a few days there, then onto South Oceanside for a week at my sister’s place and back to Sacramento then home.

Good morning MGS forum!

Been an extremely busy week at work so I am looking forward to the weekend for sure. My final review for Vokey SM10 Wedges is nearly done and I plan on posting it later today. Just putting the finishing touches on it. Spoiler alert: These babies are in the bag for sure!

Did get out to league last night.  The course was still soggy from Tuesday early downpour, but... I played pretty well.

Just saw Rory in the deep rough on the 4th hole at the Open, take a huge hack and the ball went about 10 feet. That made me feel a lot better. I was doing the same thing at Royal Dornoch two weeks ago. And Brora one week ago. (Rory made an 8 on that hole, which also looked very familiar.)

Good Morning Spies!

Congrats on the anniversary @Josh Parker! A lot of great conversation over the past year.

Watching the open while I "work" on this slow Friday. My wife is a little under the weather so I have been trying to help where I can while I'm home.

Looking forward to my round at 12:10 tomorrow at our local-ish resort course at Turning Stone Casino. We are playing the Kaluhyat course which is the toughest out the 3 in my opinion.

It's finally Friday. It's supposed to be my short day based on my usual schedule, but I have a few things to catch up for work and my class assignments as well. Hopefully I'll be able to get through them in a reasonable time and not have to work extra. I'm mentally wiped out and could use a relatively peaceful weekend to recharge. Wife has already put in weekend meal orders for me to cook. We will see how that goes.

And a few minutes later, when Rory chipped over the 4th green into a bunker, a friend of mine from Arkansas was in the TV shot as he hit the chip. Dude (my friend, not Rory) has a knack for getting on TV at sports events, and I knew he was in Europe, so not totally surprised.

Good morning all, didn’t get on the forum yesterday as had to take the dog to the vets. He’s only 3 but was diagnosed with hip displacia when he was 1 and we have been managing it with meds and various treatments since but he’s been getting progressively worse. Went back to the vet as he’s been struggling to walk lately and they did some new X-rays which revealed his left hip is totally f@cked

It’s quite clear on the X-ray to see that his hip joint has not formed properly and hence the issue with his walking. As a result he is now booked in for a total hip replacement at the beginning of September, which his insurance won’t cover

At least once it’s done he should be pain free and have no further issues. 
Anyway hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy The Open

Just a lovely, relaxing day ahead. We’re hanging out with my wife’s mom around on one of the shopping streets. Nothing but smiles on the faces of passersby. We’re all just enjoying the good weather separately and together. 

So, I’m missing a bit of the Open, but I’ll be keeping tabs on it. Maybe Nicolai Højgaard can make the 10 ten.

Good morning MGSpies from a sunny windows open all night kind of WNY summer start to Saturday.  Another run to son's place today this time to start the move of his things over the next 3 weekends in advance of the end of his 3 year lease at his RIT apartment now his last co-op is coming to an end completing his graduation requirements.  Onward and upward.

Good morning all on this beautiful Saturday morning, no golf this weekend. I think playing Monday through Friday is good enough for me. Have 2 trips coming up, next month in Cleveland and Augusta in October. Play well everyone and have fun.

Good morning everyone! 

It's a wet, dreary morning here which is perfect for having to get the oil changed in my car. I'm going to leave here in a bit to go to Chattanooga to the dealership to get it done. Since it's a company lease car we have to do it there and I don't have to shell out a ridiculous amount of money to get it done. 

@Northern MonkeyI'm sorry to hear about the pup, I hope the surgery goes well. I have a soft spot in my heart for animals and I hate to hear he's having to go through this. Hopefully it'll help and he can be out happily running around in no time. 

To the guys on the Nebraska trip @Erin B @cksurfdude @Preeway and @BallsLeon, it looks like you've having a blast and I hope y'all play well.

A lovely good morning to you all on this sunny Saturday morning. I’m so proud of my wife. She took up golf 5 years ago and has improved dramatically every year. Her stated goal this year is to “Whup my ass at golf” and she is getting oh so close. Yesterday she recorded her first hole in one.  Something, I must add, I have yet to do.  She hit a lovely fairway wood from the tee with the ball landing softly on the green and rolling straight into the hole.  She was ecstatic jumping up and down and then turned to me and said “Top that”. I had no comeback. All it cost me after the round was a tub of Häagen-Dazs ice cream. So, it’s only a matter of time before she beats me. So this old boy has to keep improving.

Headed to a new course this morning that I’ve been looking forward to checking out. Also reuniting with an old friend from grad school that I haven’t seen since we graduated. Weather looking perfect and new putter in the bag. Should be a great round!

Not much planned for the rest of the day other than catching some of The Open and possibly meeting up with some friends tonight. Hope everyone has a great Saturday and if you’re lucky enough to be golfing, hit ‘em straight! ️
