Good morning! I suffered through the back pain and skipped a round of golf with @Ben Joest yesterday to finish the tile back splash. Now, I am off to work for the man to make sure the kids can be fed and the dogs watered. Going to be a beautiful week in the burbs of Cincinnati. 71* today and a high of 74* on Wednesday. I just might have to sneak out of work to get a round in. 

 

Heading to Gatlinburg, TN next week and I am playing the Gatlinburg golf course on Friday.

Good morning all

Had a nice weekend with some great weather, a fire on Sunday and some chores around the house. Colder temps are on their way this week and can feel everyone starting to hunker down and get ready for that.

Good morning all from a gorgeous day here in Wisconsin. High of 62.....and I am stuck at work until 5pm when I should for all intents and purposes be golfing today. Afternoon is wide open....still time to play hooky, we will see how much I can get done .

Titleist testing balls are arriving today and I have two 9 hole tee times scheduled for tomorrow as it will be upper 40s. Going to try to play some over lunch and then with the boys after school, provided it is warm enough for them. Going to do some putter feel testing this evening, and put the test ball up against ProV1, V1x AND -V1x as I have all three models currently. Looking forward to it for sure!

Lastly, the 2024 goals thread grabbed some traction over the weekend which is great! For those who did not put their goals into the google doc spreadsheet yet, I will get those updated today!

Good morning Spies, and welcome to another week the good Lord has provided.
Weather isn't looking all that great for golfing this weekend, so my season might officially be done. But we'll keep an eye on it. The nice thing about my community here is that there are always 2 out of 5 courses "open" through the winter (2 are closed the whole winter due grass type), so if we get a goldilocks day we can go grab a round even mid-winter. But it's time to shift into winter practice mode, after I build my garage set up of course.

Good morning spies! 

Back to reality after getting married last weekend. We spent a lovely week in Punta Cana at an all-inclusive resort on the beach. It was some much needed R&R after all the stress leading up to the wedding.

Unfortunately no golf was played on the trip (although I did try to convince my wife to let us go to Casa de Campo so I could play Teeth of the Dog). Sitting poolside in the sun with some frozen cocktails was a decent alternative.

Unfortunately back to work today, but it'll be nice settling into a routine again.

You'll enjoy the Gatlinburg course, I played it years ago and really liked it. There's a par 3 that the tee is elevated something like 150 feet that's pretty cool. Hope you have fun!

Good Monday Morning Spies! 

It was a nice 53 degrees at 6:30am, just prior to 7am tee time. Walked 18 holes & it was nice! Nice to get back out, after a weekend of Rangering & not playing for 5 days. Warmed up nicely this morning, plus the wind picked up as well on the back 9. 
I'll tell ya, Training with TheStack Speed the past 6 weeks has helped with ball striking. It was noticeable especially after not playing for 5 days.

On 2nd cup of Espresso, back to work at real job! LOL. 

Congratulations to you and new bride @Byrnzee.  All the Best to you both!

Good morning Spies,

Coffee down and ole dog walked. It is a cold damp day in Central NY. Not much on the agenda. I will go for a run after lunch and explore the rules of becoming a wedding officiant for my son's upcming nuptial's. Every county is different. I have a tee time for tomorrow morning. I suspect it will be the last one of the season as the weather forecast for the end of the week isn't looking good and my home course is slated to close on Sunday. It was a fun season. I am sort of looking forward to the break.

I agree with Jason. The Gatlinburg course is very nice. You will always remember the par 3 once you’ve played it. Seems like the ball is in the air forever. There are a couple narrow fairways and a few sloped fairways. You should also get some good fall colors.

Good morning! I ended up being able to get out golfing over the weekend and it was a beautiful fall day! 58* and no wind. The catch was that I had to take my 6 y.o. & 3 y.o. with me! They were very good listeners when it came to the golf, but not so good when it came to other things! Haha 

One time I went to help the 6 y.o. set up for her next shot and the 3 y.o. took off with the golf cart! Luckily I’m still faster than the governed golf carts! When I got in the cart and stopped it, his smile was ear-to-ear so I could hardly be mad. I just explained that it’s not nice to move the cart while someone else is going to hit their next shot. 

Now it’s back to the week and it’s looking like weather might be decent so I’m texting all my golf buddies this afternoon to work out plans!

Good Monday afternoon, Spies!  After 4 consecutive days of golf, I had to take a break and do some subbing today.  However, golf is on the schedule for the next 2 mornings!  Life is good!

Couldn't sleep, so up and quietly moving around the house getting a few things done for work. 

Heading to the course this morning at sunrise and plan on playing the new Titleist Test ball.  It is softer feeling than my normal gamer so it will be interesting to see ball flight and spin.

Day 2 of the work week is here and I'm just sitting in the car drinking coffee and listening to podcasts. I'm trying to quiet my mind after news of needing surgery on my ankle yesterday. 

Other than that, it's a pretty good morning. I'm enjoying my coffee and waking up after an ok night of sleep. I did wake up around 2 and it took a minute to go back to sleep.

Good morning Spies on a cool, dark Michigan morning. At work, and patiently waiting for the end of the workday as it is Titleist delivery day for me if all goes according to FedEx plans.

Hoping for both new irons and test balls to arrive today. Will post pictures up either later or tomorrow and give my initial thoughts.

Good morning spies! Made myself sausage and eggs for breakfast because I just had a craving. Prepping for the day and surfing the forum while I eat is a good start. Starting out at 40° with a mid-50s high, need to finish some yard work after work today. Most of it was done yesterday so it shouldn’t take long. Should even have time to roll some putts in the basement tonight. ️

Good morning everyone. Day two of the work week has to be better than day one because yesterday was a train wreck. Boys at the school have their first game today so hopefully we’ve put enough work in to get the result we want. Enjoyed beginning the ball testing process last night. Have a busy week ahead so can’t really do much more until Friday and I also have a round tentatively scheduled this Saturday so I should have some more data to share by the end of the weekend. Hope everyone has a great day ahead!

Good morning all! I am very saddened to realize that I must not have met the 24 hour post cycle yesterday to maintain my long running streak on the forum. Stinks because I was on, but I will blame it on not paying enough attention later in the day to post instead of just perusing threads. I now must pass the baton to @sirchunksalot for the second longest active streak, and start over from scratch. Lol. Dang it.

Might try to sneak in a few holes of golf after work with the boys today, if time and weather allows. I did play 9 yesterday and shot a 47, with a three hole stretch that included two triple bogeys that doomed my score. Outside of those holes, I had a par, birdie and couple bogeys.

@sirchunksalot - really cannot believe after all this time that _now_ you're told you need surgery...??? Sheesh I feel your frustration that it didn't happen a few months ago. Hopefully you can get it done soon, and hopefully recovery is very quick!

So today .. while I often don't bother to go vote on "minor" election days, today there are two (of five) seats for the local Town Council on the ballot - and I'm going to mark my frustration with the almost unrestricted over-development that's becoming, to me, a sad feature of this town...

Other than that received a few hardware pieces that were missing for an office furniture kit, so can finish that today.

Rainy here so no golfing for me, but please do *ENJOY* those who do get to go!!

so ordered more golf balls eh why not.  forgot to check which store i had ordered from so drove to my usual one just to drive 8miles+ back from which I came to then actually go pick them up.

Weather here in central Ohio os pretty decent today. Should be able to get to the range and hit a few. Today is International Merlot Day (who cares really)….. but it is also National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day too!! (now your talking). 

So, I’ll go vote, stop and get gas, pick up a few chocolate almond bars, hit the range then do some work….. wait…. need to work a little first. This work stuff really is getting in the way of my golf. Maybe I should take a position in the golf industry?! Hmmm.

Good Morning MGS! Well I made another trip around the sun and I feel great. Today I have to work (meh) but later this week I plan on heading out to a restaurant down the road with my family to celebrate another year in the books.

One thing is certain, golf is back in my life (after a long hiatus) for good, and that is going to make this next year of aging so much sweeter! A big thanks to MGS for helping this golf addiction stick!

Definitely struggling to find the motivation to work after being off for nearly 10 days. Hoping this coffee can kick me into gear so I'm not a complete POS today. 

It's also been entirely too long since I've swung a golf club so I might try to get to the range sometime this week.

Good morning! I was woke up by a couple of sick kids, so my plans for the week have been tossed out the window. Oh well, I always liked curve balls in baseball so why not take the metaphor with me throughout life. 

Speaking of curveballs, sorry to hear that you require surgery @sirchunksalot ! I’ll be praying for a successful surgery & a speedy recovery!
