We played it at the tips today. Much better day than yesterday. Started out slow. I was 5 over after 8 holes. Played the last 10 in 3 under! Pretty happy with this round and the ability to save it!

Oops. I reshafted my Driver, 3 wood and 3 iron with the Graphite Designs shafts. Only problem was that while the epoxy felt dry before I got to the course, it was not set by tee time. The longest club I had was a 4 iron. So I put them in the truck and played irons only. Ironically, the heat from inside the truck made the epoxy set so at the turn I could have gotten them and played them. I did not check. 

I can’t blame my round on the lack of these clubs. I shot a 38 on the front 9. I did lose a ball in the water on 11 because I didn’t carry the lake on the tee shot on 11. Took a drop and made bogey. However, 8 over on 4 the last 5 holes did me in. 

The lack of longer clubs can really only account for a couple of strokes. I just made crappy swings on the back.

Warm up session on the range would not have predicted the ball striking round that transpired on the course. Very windy and hot. However, only missed one fairway and it was just right of the short par 4. Hit seventeen greens in regulation. Hit a lot of half iron shots under or shaped in the wind. The one green I missed sank a 17 footer for par! Even the miss hits were good enough today! Hope this roll I have been on continues. However, the handicap keeps falling like rain!

What's it like to hit 300 yard drives?  Do you spend a lot of time waiting on the rest of the group to hit two or three times just to catch up to your drive?

Ha ha in a word it’s “awesome”! No seriously I put a lot of time in stretching and lifting weights. Also swinging a heavy club 100 swings a day. There are a wide variety of guys in the different groups I play. Some put it out there also. One or two are arguably longer. Yes, there are others that take two shots to get past my drive, but I just play my game and enjoy the day.

I live in a retirement community and many of the people I golf with are happy with a drive that goes 150 yards.  My drives are 230 with an occasional 250.  I bought the SuperSpeed clubs so maybe I'll start seeing longer drives once I start the training.

I live in a 55 plus community as well. We have three courses and various tees. I play in several groups and the men’s club. Most guys do hit it between 180 to 240. So, your driver distance is very good. Here there are a lot of good players. There are also several guys that can flat out move the ball.

A Tom Bendelow gem in Marshalltown Iowa.  I’ve been wanting to play it for a long time.  Finishing up a renovation.  

Im a sucker for greens that flow into the next tee box, especially if they don’t use tee markers.

Had a chance to play the semi private course in town.  Early morning round as usual.  41-36.  Took a Quad on the front 9....got into some trees.  Drove the ball really well today.  3 birdies on the back.....semi chipped in on the 18th.  Got "dewed" on the 14th...pin in front, landed short heading right to the pin....picture doesn't "dew" it justice how close it was!  Fun way to start the day.

I started well, and doubt crept into my game after hole 8.  I second-guessed myself on simple chips and missed simple up and downs.  Wedge shots were uncomfortable and couldn't regain the form I had on the first 7 holes.  A cool 65° overcast skies at 7:00 AM tee time and finished in 3.5 hours, thankfully.  I suck!

15 MPH winds yesterday, fun stuff; never really caught a downwind drive, but I pushed a couple pretty deeply through the wind.  Fun day right after a day of torrential downpours. Course is in great condition, but the greens are S-L-O-W. Folks who run the place are very nice.  I didn't think about NET birdies and strokes for course handicap on the last posting, I guess I need to consider that LOL!

Another windy day. This is a course that I would highly recommend.  7400 from the back-back tees if you want to go after it (good luck). Challenging layout. Great overall condition, though it would be nice if players would fix moms ball marks and some of the greens need some attention. I'd play it again in a heartbeat.  Fun day!

How are the NET birdies or better calculated for this? 
I've always just input in the number of birdies or better made in my round but feel like I am doing that incorrectly when posting my rounds on this thread...

Today was a bounce back. The group moved us up a set of tees which made my course handicap very challenging. However, I hit it very well today. Many opportunities and a few hiccups. Ultimately I was pleased with the round.

Today I shot the best round since the middle of March!

My best stat of the day was 28% Greens in Regulation (5 out of 18 which is three better than usual).   My Fairways hit was slightly lower than usual, but two missed were by a foot each.  The graphic showed four up and downs, but what's missing is that I had another four chip and one putt for bogeys.  My chipping was on today (over 4.3 strokes gained by short game today against my peer handicapers).  Also a bit unusual is that I pared all the par 3s (four of them) and par 5s (two of them).  The downside is that I had a three putt.  It was a six footer to take $5 from our 6/6/6 competitors.  It's nice when it sort of comes together.  

For now, I'm marking this 80 and last Saturday's 81 as a "coincidence" in that both rounds were played in my pair of Sqairz golf shoes.  They were a little tight, so they sat in my closet for the last eight months.  After some back and forth with their customer service, I decided to purchase two shoe stretchers on eBay.  After a few days of "stretching" they fit better and I put them in play.  Last Saturday and today.  To good rounds both with Sqairz golf shoes.  Coincidence or living up to Sqairz's promotional claims?  Time will tell!

Wow my lowest round ever! 6 months ago I couldn’t break 90 and now I shot a 75! My irons were on fire today (thanks PXG) and my driver was 7.5/10 but stayed in play and never had more than a 7 iron into a par 4. The fun part is that I know I left some strokes out there… gotta keep grinding!

Assuming here, but I would believe you need to know how many strokes you get each hole. If you shoot par gross and you get 1 stroke that hole =net birdie

Got to play a round as a guest at my neighbor’s club - one of the best in Atlanta. Not a bad round, the South course is long and quirky, and the greens were lightning fast (haven’t three putted this much in a long time). 
 

I’ve been having some issues with my driver recently but def had some of my better drives after a quick lesson last week (stupid setup issues).
