The cleanest blade you've ever seen

I like having blades to mess around with even if (purely based on skill) I shouldn't be hitting them. The minimalist designs of a lot of the DTC brands out there also caught my eye, so I wondered why anyone hadn't taken it to the extreme and designed a blade with absolutely no branding on it whatsoever. Starting chatting with a rep for head manufacturer in China that produces the irons for some of those DTC brands, mocked something up, and asked for a 4 club sample. These were the results and honestly I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.

I decided to ask them to produce a limited number of them (assembled sets and head only). Production will take a couple months and I'll see where that goes. https://www.instagram.com/cory.justgolf/

If you’re asking what our personal favorites are here’s my thoughts…
 

My all time favorites are the MacGregor 1025M. The perfect blend of old meets new. I believe they were introduced in 2002 and occasionally I’ll see a set on eBay. Just gorgeous.

I love the VIP V foil, such a classic looking blade with a nice amount of offset, along with the diamond stamping framing the grooves. I played the cb/mb combo set in high school.

 

Cleanest blades go to Miura Giken TB zero imo. So simple and pure in every aspect.

These are the irons I have been playing the last couple of years.  Love them!! Nothing feels better IMO.  I bought them used in 2004, but the shafts didn't fit me.  Put them in the garage, but recently pulled  them out and reshafted with Nippon N.S. Pro Zelos 8 shafts; the lighter shaft made a huge difference for me.  Now I'm toying with the thought of going graphite with UST Recoil 65.  Bought the 5i and 8i heads on eBay and the Recoil shafts to compare this winter.

Scratch SB-1's just scream 'play me' but unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to give them a go. Clean and crisp is what I think whenever I see them. Classy blade.

Also had never heard of Toura golf, thank you for sharing. Those split level CBs are excellent looking. I would just worry about the PVD finish wearing very quickly. They also had Kyoei raw blanks in there as well which I had seen on TourSpec golf before and loved. Man, so many great options out there. I am still dead set on getting some Maltbys next time around but all these other subtle designs are drawing my attention as well.

I play mizuno 221s, played my best golf last season with ‘em. I got ‘em shafted with dynamic gold tour X100s. The control and consistency is another level.

Haha, it’s not a Michigan bag, but a Metalwood Studios x Jones bag I picked up in a mystery bag sale. I like it for photos though.

Very nice. I actually had my vendor put a prototype wedge together for me which is really similar. This is my current gaming bag (except the putter which is still up for grabs)
