Going in to get fit for new hybrids on Saturday.

Everyone list your favorite for me so I have a list of what I need to try!

While I lean towards PING for their customer service, if it does the job I'll play it brand wise!

I play Adams, not a current model though (Super LS).  I've heard great things about the Titleist 915 fairways and hybrids but haven't hit any of them.

Best of luck with the fitting and let us know how it works out!

I have the original RBZ hybrids and like them a lot, however we have a demo day coming up March 28 and I will be looking at what's new.  Always need to hit new stuff!  I am particularly intrigued by the Cobras.  Might be adding a fairway, so a hybrid might be yelling at me too.

Oh yes I hit the new Cobra stuff at the golf show and they were sweet. Forgot all about these, thanks for the reminder Kenny.

I've heard some good things about Tour Edge things - especially their woods and hybrids. So much so that I actually ordered a Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 Beta driver today with a Black Tie x-stiff shaft. Excited to hit it and see what it does! If it's good I will probably pick up some matching hybrids.

I tried out a lot of hybrids this winter. All the new offerings are pretty impressive. Problem for me was that, most of them went to far, 3 wood far. While the sales guys in the big box stores thought that this was great, I had to explain that, I was trying to fill a gap. Finally settled on a Cleveland 588 Custom @ 20.5*. Very straight for me with a good flight and fills my gap nicely. Cleveland was never on my list, but, it worked, and the price was definitely right, being a previous years model. Good luck, and have fun with your search.

Hmm? What type of fitting are you being offered? Retail fitting, cart fitting or a specialty custom shop fitting with all the bells, whistles, and experience?

Since you asked my fav is Wishon. In fact I'm being fitted for driver, HB's by my custom club fitter/maker a week from tomorrow. I'll make a 4 hour drive to his shop. Well worth it too.

My Sun Mountain bag currently includes:   TWGTLogo2.png.06c802075f4d211691d88895b3f34b75.png 771CSI 5i - PW and TWGTLogo2.png.06c802075f4d211691d88895b3f34b75.png PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges

These probably aren't as popular of an option as some of the others but I just replaced my Titleist 913 hybrids with Mizuno JPX Fli Hi Hybrids.

Here's what I like about them:

1. They have the same shafts as my irons. Steel Nippon N.S. Pro 1150. The lengths are cut down to match what the 3 and 4 iron lengths would be of my MP-54s. It's nice having the consistency of the same feeling shaft in the hybrids.

2. The lofts and lies can be bent to match your iron set. I ended up going with the 19* 3H and had the 22* 4H bent to 23* since my 5 iron is 27*.

I picked them up this morning and put them in play for my round today. I don't normally like doing this but I hit them at my fitting and had great results. The results on the course today were just as impressive. Super easy to hit with the same ball flight and feel as my irons. I also like that my 4H shaft isn't 2" longer than my 5 iron. The gapping works out much better. For what it's worth, I also had no problem flighting down the 4H today when I needed to. The confidence I have with them is worth it's weight in gold.

I have been using the Cobra Bio Cell 2-3 with Project X shaft.  However, in my infinite wisdom of changing lofts and changing clubs, I went back to my Powerbilt AFO 3(20*) & 4(23*). They have a proprietary Fujikura shaft.  Anyway, they fit my bag right now so I am enjoying them.

Can vouch for the TourEdge. Mine is the best one I've ever had. Bad shots go 200 and good strikes can go 230-340 sometimes.

I play Adams hybrids. Granted mine are tour only Protos based on the original peanut with velocity slot tech, but all their hybrids I've played over the years work phenomenally well. Great product and great value pricing as well. There's a reason they're the #1 played hybrid on tour.

In The Bag
Driver: TaylorMade M2 (2017) w/ Project X T1100 HZRDUS Handcrafted 65x
Strong 3 wood: Taylormade M1 15* w/ ProjectX T1100 HZRDUS handcrafted 75x
3 Hybrid: Adams PRO 18* w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4 Hybrid: Adams PRO 20* (bent to 21*) w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4-AW: TaylorMade P770 w/ Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Black Onyx S400

SW: 56* Scratch Tour Dept(CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
LW: 60* Scratch Tour Department (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
XW: 64* Cally XForged Vintage w/ DG X100 8 iron tiger stepped
Putter: Nike Method Prototype 006 at 34"

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

Agree with Rook also. My Adams I had was the A12 OS one and it was a really good hybrid but if I had to make a choice, it would be TourEdge.

OK,

Had the fitting and ended up with Titleist 915Hd's with the Tour Green hybrid shafts. I don't know why or how, but these things allow me to hit laser beams.

List of clubs hit.

Titleist 915h's with several of the stock shafts - Good ball flight but a bit to high in the air.

Cobra Fly hybrids with several different shafts - Just couldn't get these to perform. Looked fine on address but the ball just never jumped off the face.

Taylormade r15 hybrids with stock shafts - Didn't care for the look of these and I think that sunk these before I even started.

Tour Exotics XCG7 with two different shafts - The less stiff shaft was amazing. I hit these further than the Titleist's, but they weren't as consistent on the dispersion.

PING i25 with stock shafts - I hit these very straight, but the distance just wasn't there for me. 15 yards shorter than the Titleist's and Tour Exotics.

PING G30 with stock shafts - I hit these better than the i25's, but the ball flight again was too high. No Tour Green shaft for these, wondering if that would have made a difference.

After all of this I was very tired. He had more lined up for me to try, but I don't know how it could get any better than the Titleist's. Besides one or two thin shots due to fatigue I hit them great every time on the same line. They should be here in a week or so, can't wait to get them onto the course. I was very surprised about the Tour Exotics and if they had been more consistent I would have gone with those as they were much less expensive.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys!
