NFL playoff time, who is your bet?

Born and raised in Seattle, my seahawks are in a solid position this year to make some noise. I've been 100% rabid fan since inception in '76, and we are due, especially since the refs stole the game in 05 to give it to Bettis and the Stealers.

 

Who is your team, and why? Are you a bandwagon fan, or do you have a reason to love your team?

My team is long gone. My daughter is a Wisconsin native so I will root packers but I think they get drilled by the 9ers. I see Seahawks/patriots with pats winning once the Seahawks are away from home. Could be an interesting game outdoors in jersey this time of year. At least for us.

My team has the 6th draft pick... I'm taking Seattle vs Cincy in the big game with Seattle winning it all, though I'd love to see Brady in another SB.

I think you're mistaken on gay players in the NFL personally. Brendan Ayandebejo or whatever his name is was cut just days after taking a stance for gay rights and discussing gay players in the NFL. Kerry Rhodes came out while a free agent and can't find work.

 

Chris Culliver shares what the majority of NFL players have said in the past when queried:

 

“ain't got no gay people on the team. They gotta get up outta here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff.”

 

As far as Seattle is concerned, I have a sneaky suspicion they'll be in the NFC Championship against the House Kittens. Both of those defenses are nasty. Seattle has the best defensive backfield in all of the NFL, IMO. The House Kittens, imo, have one of the nastiest defensive fronts in football.

I still think the Pack will take San Fran on Sunday.  San Fran might be better, but the weather will level the playing field.  Supposed to be a HIGH of -4 BELOW at game time.....temp will just keep dropping as the sun goes down (which is around 4:45 up here). 

It's damn hard to prepare for weather like that if you don't live it.

They're not irrelevant because the numbers I reference are for Peyton outdoors in the cold, not inside. I've researched it because friends and I have debated it. Outdoors, sub 40 his career passer rating in those temps are 13 points lower. When it's 32 or lower, those numbers dip 19 points. His win loss record is below .500 too. Go playoff only in those conditions, and his win loss dips below .375

I mentioned them to the guys at work. The offense is clicking no doubt, but how will it fare in the cold with a rookie coach and most of those guys first post season trip

He dominated college for ten years at SC, had a few learning stints in the pro game in his middle years, and has now turned my sad-sack 5-11 Jim mora led undersized soft-bellies into a big and strong upcoming team, that is still growing up. I think they are the third or fourth youngest team going. This is probably the best/ second best team we have ever had. And 36 years of sucking has been difficult, but I'll be a fan till they bury me in Neon green and blue casket.

I love the NFL. I've been a die hard Raiders fan for 46 years. Goodell is making it unwatchable. He is the worst commissioner the NFL has ever had.

I have to say, that I've disliked the Eagles the last few years, mainly because Desean Jackson is an annoying little punk. Therefore I've never payed much attention to McCoy, but in that game against the Lions in a foot of snow, he was absolutely amazing.

What Shady did in that game was unbelievable.  And I understand where you are coming from with Desean.  He is the type of player that you love to have on your team to make the electrifying plays but also frustrates you at times and you can see every reason why other people dislike him.  If he was on another team I probably wouldn't like him either.
