A little hack I found with paint fill is nailpolish and a toothpick. Get some acetone or nail polish remover and youll get perfect results with some patience.

I also like using an oil paint pen, then doing a quick wipe w acetone.  

Give you choices and lots of colors and is quite strong as far as enamel. Lasting years for me no issues

I just finished this Ping Anser 4 restoration. Stripped it and did the paint fill with a oil paint marker and some nailpolish. Happy with it but Imma sell it since I just bought 2 putters. Just a fun project and still a great putter.

Uh, hi, me again. Been less than 3 weeks since my last shoe purchase, and I've already struck again. 45 holes in, I love the Olukai shoes. More than pretty much all of my others. So, naturally, this shoe ho needed a new color option, but they were sold out in my size pretty much everywhere (except the one style I don't like as much). Got lucky though - Worldwide Golf Shops claimed to have a single pair of 13 left in the Kapalua style, in one of the colors I liked, so I jumped on it. And, naturally, also contacted Olukai directly to see if they'll restock other colors any time soon...TBD on that.

My sand wedge search is hopefully at an end. My experiment with Edison showed that it wasn’t right for me and was thankful that they offered a trial period with the option of a full return. So this morning I ordered a Vokey SM9. Can’t wait to get it in my bag.

In my defence, this was the last of the classic design putters I'd been chasing, and I should be done buying putters in general for now. Unless I find a good condition Bettinardi Baby Ben. And maybe a copper Rossie... Hmm... 

 

The guy who had it had it sitting in his shed for years, definitely needs some work to get it pretty again. Still has the original grip and shaft stickers though which is awesome. 

Definitely getting there, but I need some more sandpaper, and some paint. Looks like it'll be a weekend job at this stage.

Just getting into restoring old and abused putters, converted a table grinder to a polisher yesterday. I have a Pre Scotty Titlist and a old Scotty Laguna putter head removed and the Blue removed from the Laguna, paint removed from Titlist and they are ready to polish. I have a couple more project clubs on hand including a decent Wilson Augusta bullseye also. I have the wife on scouting duty at estate sales, yard sales and thrift stores while I scour FB marketplace and Ebay for a deal.  I am going to purchase a powder coating setup and some of the projects will be sold to fund the rest of them.

I couldn’t get out of the sand consistently. It would dig rather than glide through the sand. My previous wedge had 14* of bounce. I’d slightly open the wedge and would get out of the trap with ease and regularity. Edison takes a different view on bounce and it simply didn’t work for me. It’s a great looking wedge and from the fairway or rough it worked well enough. I really wanted it work out. Good luck with it.

Yeah, I agree it’s not cheap, and they’re not shy about trying to get more money from you.  The first five “Introductory Protocol” training videos are free, but advanced training videos or instruction on how you’re recommended to practice with it require you to pay a one-time access fee…up to $50 in some cases.  Not a fan of that nuance for sure.

My buddy who works for a golf warehouse is hooking me up with a brand new Ping G425 Hybrid. He said he was gonna ship it out this week and I was praying it would arrive today before I leave for my weekend golf trip early tomorrow morning. I just went to check the tracking and the ETA is tomorrow by 9pm... absolutely brutal. The worst part is I can see that it arrived in my city early this morning. What's the point of waiting 24 hours to deliver?!

Just my luck I guess. Will have to wait until after the trip to try it out and add it to the bag.

Had some clubs I needed to clear from my garage, traded them in with Sub70 for a store credit. Been slowly getting stronger throughout this year and was ready for a new driver and shaft … purchased their 849 Pro Driver this morning.

Nothing.  Even went to the golf store today with the intention of buying a putter but I didn't find anything that I had to have.

I’m playing pretty well lately, but I need to solve what is becoming an issue with my bag setup between my driver and 4 hybrid.

My 16.5 3HL has worked as well as any FW has for quite a while, but my swing speed has slowed the past 7 years to a point where I’m getting about 15 less yards than I did when I bought it.

I’ve recently replaced my 5 iron with a 5 hybrid, and it’s been a revelation. I also replaced my 3H with a HW, but it’s giving me the same distance as my 4H (they are both 20*) and I need more than that from a FW.

I want to get a 5W to gap above the 4H, but that would get me very close in yardage to the 16.5* 3HL. If I were to put a 15* 3W in the bag, it would have to be a very forgiving and high launching one as FW’s have never been my strength. I’ve come to a point where I need to get better with them though as my 3H isn’t giving me the carry distance it should. It’s become a “certain type of course” club.

I’ve been looking at reviews, and the Big Bertha 21 3&5 woods seem to fit the bill for a weak FW player such as myself. I can get them at a very good price, but I can’t demo them. (I’ve never even seen one). They seem to be bordering on the extreme, with shallow, offset heads and slightly shorter shafts.

Has anyone here had any experience with them, and am I on the right track thinking of buying them?
