My current weight loss plan - play golf in the morning, do hours of yard work in the afternoon of a 95* day. At least that's what I did yesterday and I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Yard Work can be the same as a work out.

Rev has a chart that he's going to share when he gets his computer straightened out.

Hopefully tomorrow while I'm waiting for my 6:00 appointment to show up.

My story today isn't about weight loss but minimal weight gain of less than a pound despite a weekend for the ages - six church services, three of them funerals, a five course wine tasting dinner at the club on Friday night and an over night stay at a beach condo where we made a couple of very nice meals all with a tropical storm moving up the coast.

A lot of water, no over eating and passing on deserts were key.

That and a bottle of scotch. :)

I think it's the water, pretty heavy stuff. Scotch is actually diet fluid

Yup same here . Played 18 - teeing off at 10:00 yesterday. Even drinking lots of water I lost 3 lbs yesterday. Don't know how you guys in the south handle the heat and humidity.

We don't. Our groups play as early as possible, 7:00-8:00 so we are tucked nicely in air conditioning by 11:00-12:00 or darn close. I will not play in the heat, can't do it.

It was 90 today and I was in my fire gear again climbing ladder and cutting holes with chainsaws so I will see how much water weight I lost today I think it will be a little bit.

This threads been too quiet the last week. How's everyone doing?

I'm hovering around the 180 mark 181.2, 180.5, 180.9 the last three days. I've had this happen at all of my major milestones prior to the break through. I'm hoping it's the same here and that I'm in the 170's by Tuesday.

Thread did take a break after it took a bit of a ridiculous direction.

Anyway weight again 209. Not going to whine about it as we've been eating “out and about” a lot lately. SWMBO has lost 10-11 lbs and still dropping so that's a good thing. If I can get to 200# by my 72 Birthday in October that would be great.

I'm hovering at the 170 mark. Between golf and working on the yard has kept the weight down even though I seem to be eating more.

When I work in the yard weight seems to burn off quickly. I need to get out back to do some tree trimming and weeding but can't. The bluebirds and brown thrashers both have active nests and they go crazy when we go out back. Bluebirds especially dive bomb us. We stay away until the chicks are fledged.

I'm at a plateau right now although I have been working my butt off at the gym and in the yard.  I'm craving carbs right now and once I get through a certain change in my life, I think the weight will start coming off like butter on a hot ear of corn.  I'm hanging around the 210 mark and my next goal is 205.

I gained a few pounds (more than a few) when I was in Europe. Way too much good food and eating out for every meal. In the 3 weeks since I've been back I'm back down from 234 to 227. I've fallen off the wagon a bit in terms of formal exercise, but have been burning calories in the yard and demo'ing a bathroom that is getting remodeled.

It's interesting how weight plateaus and then all of a sudden it starts dropping again. I'll bet you blow through the 210 mark quickly.

Had a weigh in yesterday now down to 91.8 KG / 202lbs. Thats 10lbs I've now lost. I am just coming to the end of my six weeks off work cycle and have been on the cake, fried breakfasts and not really watching what I have been eating. I go back to work Thursday for six weeks so will be back on my, eggs, tuna and sardine diet with copious amounts of water, green tea, exercising every day on top of being active at work all day.

Sub 90kg is my goal. Shorts that I couldn't fit into 12 weeks ago are now fitting me again, golf shirts that I couldn't wear are now no longer tight on my stomach. Apologies for the self gratification post, Im chuffed I have managed to lose the bulk of my excess.

You folks have inspired me to get back after it. Thank you.

I have been a perfect example of the yo-yo dieter for the last 5-7years. I fluctuate between 240-210 depending on how serious I am about watching what I eat and having daily activity in my life.

After reading through the thread, you have been a good kick in the rear to get back at it and work to find a way to make this sustainable. I've started this week by packing my lunch and making dinner at home as well as taking the dog on a 45 minute walk.

Here's hoping I can keep using the support and motivation of fellow spy's I can make this the time my journey becomes permanent.

Batteries in the scale just crapped out. New batteries won't arrive for a week. Maybe this is a good thing...not having the psychological battle of seeing the numbers move one way or the other.

I guess this means I can go eat pizza for lunch and not have to see the consequences until new batteries arrive!
