Check out the Rotary Swing Tour (RST) method. This swing philosophy focuses on the biomechanics of the golf swing and not just subjective tips.

I appreciate that! I have actually committed to Monte Schienblum's "Efficient Swing" and "No Turn Cast" which make a lot of sense to me just a very strange feel on the shallowing aspect. I think shallowing is having a moment right now! Very exciting!

Driver is safe - OG SIM

5 wood is super safe - stealth. Incredible find late last year

irons and wedges are safe - Golfworks TS2 5-GW, nippons 850GH, ke4Max 52/58 - there is nothing better out there IMO

Putter is dead safe (knock on wood) - old cs golfworks PT. It’s been a revelation since returning from a 5 year absence (and 2 other owners)

3 wood is always on borrowed time - sim max right now, used for 1 shot at my home course. Might not be worth keeping

i am adding either a 4 iron or a 7 wood or 20-21* hybrid to fill the gap. Right now the TS2 4 iron is getting it’s shot

Driver: Sim 9*, ventus blue 6R

3 wood: Srixon ZX

Hybrids: Srixon ZX 3H and 4H

Irons: Golfworks TS2, 5-GW (5 iron with UST Recoil F3; 6-GW, Nippon 950h reg)

Wedges: Golfworks TSW 52* and 58*, 52* Nippon 950GH, & 58* TT90

Putter: Odyssey Versa 12

Ball: Srixon Zstar

Thinking about moving from JPX irons to Srixon MKII (Combo ZX7 & ZX5).

Any Srixon players (current or past generation) on board with that move? Reply and share an experiences if you like.

I might try to substitute a 60° wedge for a 200 yard club.

I most recently replaced a G410 Driver in mid 2022, and a Wilson Staff Infinite Michigan Avenue putter two weeks ago.

This year I will try to play only Wilson Staff Triad balls during competitive matches.

I have developed a love for the Lamkin crossline 360 grip and I will regrip all my fiture clubs with it.

Big fan of the OG Sim. Never ended up owning one, but in testing it performed well and having a shallower face I really like it as I normally like to tee the ball a little lower.

Interesting question. So, I can get a new Stealth 2 Driver for pretty close to nothing. BUT, my last rounds in October and November, my current driver was spectacular! It was decent, but not great all year, then as soon as I started even thinking about a new driver, everything went down the middle and an extra 10 yards.

Irons are safe. Playing good and only a year old. FW woods - I have way too many of them already. I will just rotate them to see what is working. Hybrid - hated it at first, but now I love it. Putter - last year was a nightmare until I settled on this Taylormade, so safe for now. I will probably try some different balls, but have been very happy with Maxfli. Now, I KNOW that I HAVE to buy something. I just don't know what yet.

New TSR 3 is strait and safe.

Rogue 3 wood is safe.

Rogue 4 & 5 hybrids are safe.

0311P gen 3 irons 6-P are safe.

Rtx 50* could be updated to the newer model come mid year if the grooves get worn.

Tiger grind 56* bent to 54* is safe.

Renegar 58* is safe.

Smart sole chipper 46* could yield back to the Rogue 3 Hybrid, both have held this spot on an off during the last season.

Two years ago I went through a full bag fitting and changed from a custom putter I used for 15 years to a Scotty putter with a special shaft and paid a small fortune for it.  That lasted four months.  I took it back and they gave me my money back and put me in a Bettinardi putter that I played for six months.  Both putters made me feel good to own but the lost me money on missed putts.  I returned to the custom Positive Putter and be hold I was making money with my putter nobody ever heard of and It is never coming out of my bag again! It is like a heavy putter 380g but balanced toe up like an Edel putter and has a 303 stainless head.

I am gaming the Z Star Divide and will switch to the Pro V1 left dot if I can get them because when I played it in the blind test I fell in Love but can't get them.  The Z Star is a nice ball and the divide is fun to putt and easy to id.

... Ola amigo! Good to see you here. I traded the OG Sim for a Sim2 straight up andI think they OG may be a hair better sounding and feeling without giving up any performance. The Sim2 was supposed to be more forgiving and I just didn't find that to be true for me at least. I have looked at Sim OG heads from time to time and if the right deal comes along I may pick one up and compare.

Driver is definitely not safe. I have never got along with my Taylormade M5, and after doing some comparisons on a launch monitor this winter to my old Nike Covert 2.0 tour, it was getting beat handily. Going to start demoing some others and getting a fitting.

My old Scotty pro platinum Newport 2 May finally be on the chopping block for the first time since I bought it new in high school. I am struggling with speed control, but everything is saying I am hitting it dead center and starting my putts on line, so it seems to be a loft issue. I may try having it bent first.

My ball is never safe. I try all kinds of things there and go with whatever works best. This year I want to try the Maxfli and Vice balls.

Everything else is safe, for now, unless I decide to finally upgrade my old Nike fws. Love the look of the Titleist and Mizuno 3 woods.

Everything except my irons are staying in my bag this year.  Father Time has caught up to me and I’m getting fit for new irons Masters Week.  Have no clue as to what brand.  Really don’t care as long as they perform on the course.  I would like to check out some of the direct to consumer irons (sub70, tacomo) after hearing all the glowing reviews on here from you guys.  Once I get my up to date specs that is…

I can relate to the issues with the ball- I've tried the Chrome Soft, Chrome Soft X, Super Soft, Titleist Tour Speed, Titleist TruFeel, AVX, Pro V1. My fitter recommended that I should try the Chrome Soft X LS and even though I thought it didn't sound right,  it gave me the best numbers of the bunch FWIW

I got great straight distance with just the right launch and spin for me. The spin around the green was really nice, predictable and consistent. It didn't spin as much around the green as the Chrome Soft X, but I still had NO problems holding the green with full or partial swings. It didn't feel as soft as the Chrome soft.

That’s really good to know. Definitely going on my testing list for this year.

Out of curiosity, have you tried the Bridgestone balls? I haven’t tried them in years, but some ball recommended tool said the BX may be the best ball for my game.

According to the Bridgestone ball fitter it said I should try the B RXS. I tried a sleeve of them and they seemed a little softer, had a higher launch, didn't spin quite as much and weren't as consistent as the LS (but it could've been operator error......)

I take the on line fittings as guidance.  They tend to point you to a specific ball (maybe the one they are trying to move?).  I entered vastly different parameters including swing speed and it told me to use the same ball.  Really true when you use a brand specific fitting tool.  Titleist told me to use the ProV1 (not the 1x) for every parameter I entered.

Yeah, the brxs is too soft for me. Feels like a marshmallow, last I tried it.

Agree with this. I use them just as information to think about the different characteristics of a ball. I definitely have a few to try this year and see if I like something more than my Chromesoft X

My Idea Hybrid is always in jeopardy!

My Rocketballz 3 wood, is only good off the tee on short par fours.  If I find something easier to hit its gone!!

Obviously I'm not very good with Fairway woods!  Looking for replacements.

My Rocketballz driver is great.

My Callaway Apex Irons are irreplaceable!

My old Ping Answer Putter  is virtually irreplaceable!

Always looking to improve.

Always looking for help.

Will get new TaylorMade Stealth 2 driver, fairway wood and hybrid [on the house] soon!  Hope abounds!

I am a regular and frequent golfer.  I have played in 16 states and 4 countries.

My bucket list is to play in all 50 states.  I am an “A” flight golfer in my golf club.
