Good morning everyone! Back in New York after an amazing MDW in Hilton Head with the family.  Never easy getting back on the grind after two golf rounds and one too many transfusions.

Good morning Spies, 

It's another beautiful day!  Got my coffee sitting on the patio enjoying the day.  Not much happening here today. Got some weeding to do.  I got one of the flower beds ready to plant and going to get flowers for it since frost threat is hopefully gone now.  Dentist appointment at 3:30.  Depending on how that goes might hit some balls at the range after that.

Morning all. It's a back to workday, so not all that excited. Also, off for my yearly physical in a minute. It rained all weekend so no golf for me.  It's supposed to be nice today so maybe I can sneak out for some golf later on.

Hopefully a short work day as I leave tomorrow 6:30 for my golf trip. I need to pack my stuff, golf clubs and then if I forget anything they have these things called stores/pro shop.

Good Morning everyone!!  A beautiful sunny 87º day with 16% humidity.  I'm not playing, but my wife just left for an early round with her lady friends.  I might head to the course later for some short game work after a few small chores that hopefully don't turn into bigger @Rickp chores .  Just finished my 3rd cup of coffee... I know, I know... Kenny B never has a 3rd cup of coffee at home!

Good morning all! Got back from the Ozarks yesterday after a great weekend of golf! The weather was beautiful all weekend and the golf was good. We played Old Kinderhook, Bear Creek, and Indian Rock. Old Kinderhook was a beautiful venue, however, the maintenance of the course was kind of disappointing. Multiple tee boxes weren't mowed, the rough 5-6 inches long, the greens were pretty hairy, but the layout was beautiful. Bear Creek was a beautiful venue as well. Cheap rates, but the course was in great shape. I will definitely be going back down in the future. 
 

Now, I've got four days of work left and then I am free to go into summer break. I hope the day and week goes well for all. Happy Tuesday!

Bear creek has really improved lately, its been through a rough bit that past few years.

We are supposed to play Old Kinderhook at the end of June. Do you think this was a freak occurrence with the course maintenance- or should we expect the same. Don't want to pay $95 for a lousy experience. Plenty of other courses we can go to instead.

We really enjoyed playing it. The greens were in great condition! It did seem that there was a fair bit of restructuring of the course, but I thought overall, it was a great course! Also, their carts are really fast which is always a bonus

I would definitely go to the course. The layout is lovely and it is a beautiful course. We played the tips, and the tips were the only tee boxes that weren't mowed. All of the other tee boxes looked good. I was just shocked because it was Memorial Day weekend, so we were expecting the course to be in pristine condition.

Were the greens just a little slow as if they hadn't been mowed in a couple days (everyone off for the long weekend) or do you think they are just slow? We've played Bear Creek several times. Really fun course but want to play something different. All the pics and videos I've seen online have us excited to check this place out.

Morning everyone hope it was a great long weekend for everyone. Had a busy weekend camping and relaxing with the family. It was just beautiful weather and was so fun. Looking forward to the rest of the summer and a beautiful week. Here is to a great Monday!

Gooooooood morning spies!

Glad to be back after a fun albeit hectic holiday weekend. Weather was absolutely wonderful. Mid 70's with a slight breeze. Played 45 holes in 3 days (9/18/18) and a round with the one and only @GolfSpy BOS ! Followed that up with loads of yard work and topped it off with a party with friends last night.

A late good morning all!

Had a nice long weekend and realized I'm on 4 day work weeks from now until after the 4th of July between the MGS golf trip and corporate holidays! WOO! 

Already have another round booked too so the Edel testing has helped kick start my golfing season.  I'll have my initial thoughts up there soon!

GM Y'all!!!! Hope y'all had a great weekend and lots of golf was involved. It was busy around the house got LOTS of thigs accomplished. Didn't get a chance to go play a round (or 2,3 .....) but did get a fair amount of short game practice in. Seem to be getting a little bit more consistent and the new wedges seem to be ensuring their places in my bag. They're really nice. 

Played the Faculty/Staff tournament on Thursday. We shot -10. They were um....... generous (yeah- that's a good word for it) with SOME of the "old farts" tees. I was able to drive 4 of the greens from where they had them set up(not that my drives are that long, they just really shortened them up- 210-260ish on the ones I drove). It's a really nice course and the wind didn't really kick up until we were at 17. BTW- I DID lose the ball that I HAD played 2 complete rounds with. If you miss the fairways on this course, you can pretty much count it gone. BUT- on the plus side, I did find find a LOT of nice ones while we were looking for some of ours.

Well... I did not want to return to work today after being off for nearly two weeks! It was 70s, sunny, and no rain all last week/weekend so I got in a lot of golf. Now, I'm sitting inside with the blinds open, looking outside, wishing I could just hit the powerball and retire . Still no rain in sight, but the temps look like they'll be reaching the 90s this week... yuck. I plan to sneak out a few days on lunch and then get a couple more rounds in over the upcoming weekend. I think I'll try and get the mat and net set up outside this evening,

The greens looked like they hadn't been mowed since the previous morning. We teed off at 4:00 Saturday and they felt like they hadn't been mowed in a day. Also, a lot of pitch marks because of the busy weekend, and golfers can't follow proper etiquette and repair their divots.

It is a really nice course. It's a LOT of fun and REALLY challenging on a calm day- get the wind blowing and it'll have you cursing by the 3rd hole

Rough morning today… unbelievably, my wife and I lost our first dog we got together overnight. It’s very tragic and our household is mourning our dog of 5 years. 
 

on a golf note, my wife and I took the rest of the day off and are headed to play some golf and sit by the club pool to relax. I really need to grind on my 9, PW, GW clubs as those distances have been a bit unpredictable lately. Hopefully that cleans up before the member guest next weekend.

Glad you enjoyed your golfing visit to Lake of the Ozarks.  The times I have played Old Kinderhook, it has always been in great shape.  Bear Creek is a hidden gem.

Totally agree about Bear Creek. And if you take advantage of the lunch and golf special, I think on Tuesdays, it’s a steal of a deal.

Got worse today!!  A neighbor brought over 3 flats of Zoysia grass.  I dug up dead areas and replanted the flats (or partial).  Took some time but it’s done.  Also played 9 this morning, had a plumber come in and replace the shower mixer cartridge, went to FL Motor Vehicle and registered our car that we leased for 3 years and with 6,500 miles decided to buy.  Spent 45 minutes total at DMV, sure is different than up north.
