Good morning. Hitting 18 at Van Patten tomorrow. I'm also in a Golf League as a 13 handicap(18 holes). Does anyone have any advice? This is my first Golf league.

I still got it though, took the sticks to Wailea.  Got told I was playing too fast for the first group out…

 

Very nice, Too fast!?!? Maui is nice. I was lucky enough to play the Plantation Course. We also went to Haleakalā which was amazing.

GM Y'all!!!! Happy Masters start day!!!!! GO Matt Fitz!!!!!!! (and Rory!!!!!). Woke up to 22* supposed to get up to 60ish. This SHOULD be the last "chilly" morning. Hope y'all have a great day- we get test and biopsy results today- hopefully nothing but good news. F&Gs for those playing cuz the rest of us got this-

Good morning, Spies. I woke up to an email from my home course they will be opening on Sunday! The first day will be pay into the honor box as the club pro is attending the Masters. The opening was delayed even though we had a relatively minor winter due excessive water on the course which delayed the necessary maintenance to get the course ready to open. So, I will be playing next week. We have family coming over for Easter. 

My Thursday morning is being occupied by a cup of coffee, an apple fritter and The Masters on my Apple TV. I'm Currently watching Mike Weir and Kevin Na navigating holes 4, 5, and 6.

Morning everyone - holy cow - another morning another test announced! One of my golfing partners plays Oncore and really likes them. 

Yesterday was an all time high temp for the day 91* and humid. More of the same today and tomorrow. Cooler temps forecast for next week (fingers crossed). Helping a friend of mine with a house project today so no golf. Regular Friday group game starts at 10:00 tomorrow - hope we play fast.

Something just came to my mind, I have not heard one thing about "is the course obsolete, is the winning score going to be too low?" it is nice to just talk about how many great golfers have a chance to win this week... should be a great 4 rounds....

Get well soon!  At my age I have had lots of ailments over the years, but honestly I don't think I have a had a cold or the flu (or covid for that matter) for over 10 years.  I think I outgrew them.

GM all.  39º and cloudy.  It will be about the same temp at tee time today as yesterday, but no sun.  Clouds are moving in and rain in the forecast.  Not wearing shorts today!!  I will be glad to get home to watch the Masters.

Great to have you back, I’ve been told the same thing occasionally and usually by people who only want to talk or check social media.  I’ve been known to leave and move on and let them catchup.

Played the Gold Course at Wailea GC. They have 3 nice tracks!

Will probably never be said in those terms, but the extending of the course has been an ongoing topic all week.  Every player interviewed has been asked about the extension of 13 which is now basically a birdie/par hole instead eagle to double type hole.   
 

Interesting with all the discussion on rollback and keeping the designers intentions that this hole possibly goes against the intentions as the longer players are saying it is now a layup hole

I was there in August of 21. got the earliest tee time available and everything was firm and fast. I don't blame you for avoiding that.

2:08pm tee time Colonial Terrace, 3rd day in a row. Apparently I'm a fan. 9th day in a row I've played at least 9 holes. 7 of those days were full 18. 

I think (hope) I powered through any fatigue issues I had previous weeks at day 3 in a row and have built the stamina to play every day without getting dog tired.

I think the "physically demanding movements" fit my swing .  I haven't tried the hot/cold treatment but will start today and through the weekend to see if that helps. 

I'm not a doctor either and haven't even played one on TV, but yeah it sounds at least like muscle strain or possibly some tearing.....

i did a number on my mid-right back about two years ago .. never quite fully healed up properly and yeah that spot had a tendency to uhh remind me it's there after golfing.

If you're ok exploring alternative approaches, acupuncture was really helpful for me! And strangely enough my insurance fully covers it (but not chiropractic).

Was an early start today at 5:45, was too excited to get a round in with Lacassem. 2 coffees later we were teeing off in the fog. Totally had a great time. Nice to play in 3:40 walking.

If we go back the plantation is on my list.  But I want to go to Kaui.
