It was wild how much more spin Max's bunker shot got vs. Tiger's on 18. Announcers said Tiger's call must've been down in the sand a bit.

Aldo reading that article on Bryson's irons they have bulge on them (no mention of roll) which is just wild to think about adding that to an iron. Though it it helps toe side miss I tend to have I would take that.

I’ve honestly always been a fan of Bryson. Was bummed to see him go to LIV. He’s just fun to watch and I think the way he approaches the game is really interesting. I’m pulling for him and Homa this week. Both are looking really sharp.

Late/Early will always be tough for him given recovery time. Ended up being even worse with the delay and now playing basically 23 holes straight as they have about 45 minutes between rounds. Needs a solid round to make it.

Bryson's New Irons

You just gotta love this kids character and willingness to tinker with the norm.  Who else but Bryson would bag an "experimental" set of irons, from a company virtually unknown to the golfing world (hell, I had to add its name to my dictionary), for The Masters . 

The folks at Avoda must be hanging onto the edge of their cubicles hoping he can get it done.

Jamie has probably already left a message on their answering machine ("your product needs MGS test validation" ) and inquired about a "patina" version .

Is it just me or does the tee shot off #18 look like a tunnel?  That one pine tree on the left, about 100 yards out looks like a catchers mitt for my ball flight .

I was really expecting Jordan to be a contender... just another example of why I do not gamble .  The course and playing conditions are making a good many world class golfers look mortal.

With all the carnage, it's hard to believe the projected cut line is +1... seems like it should be +4.  But, lots of golf in gusty winds left to play, so it might move that direction.

Yessir. An OL player myself … read an article about Bryson visiting PING’s HQ and they built him a OL set with their i230 or i210 irons and it was a great read. Led to further research and discovering Avoda, and their irons are very nice looking, but they def appear to be a players iron.

Already at 61 or so at +3 or better

And sure enough middle of the green in two with a draw, what a shot.

Wonder if Tiger is second guessing his foregoing of nocturnal activities. Or maybe it's working?

Tiger keeps scrambling for pars on the tough holes. Maybe he can get a couple of birds on the par 5s to offset any later wobbles. They're thinking the cut line is gonna wind up at +4 so he has a little room for error if his legs can hold up for 8 more holes.
