What's Your Favorite Iron Shaft?

Project X LZ for me!  I took a chance based on the description and other reviews for my previous iron set.  Actually got fit a few weeks ago and these were perfect for me.  They have a great blend of stability and launch.

Just got fit into the project x Ls 6.5 and love them. Between the feel of them and the control they’re perfect for me

I really love the Accra iS 7 shafts in my irons.  They time up very well for me and the feel is incredible.

Kbs tour lite, stiff, standard is my favorite currently using elevate vss tour stiff 118 grams i believe. I do like 30 or 40% less vibration with the elevate shafts though. Havent tried graphite yet. I was thinking about it with my next set of irons not sure i need another set but i do love shiney new things.  I use one of three apex cf19's, steel head xr or mizuno 921 forged i want the new srixon irons

My favorite for a long time was the Matrix Ozik Program 130. Played them in a set of Cleveland TA1, Adams MB2 & most recently Ben Hogan ICON. Built a set of Adams CMB last season with Matrix Ozik F15 120 and they are also super solid. Both of those stout Matrix products are almost impossible to find new these days.

Currently planning a rebuild of the ICONs and the LA Golf Tour AXS Blue 105 is on the short list as a very similar replacement in a lighter weight class. It’s a shame the LA Golf price point is hard to swallow for a lot of players because shafts built on the HD (hexadecagonal) mandrel are special.

Project X HZRDUS Red/Blue/Black/Yellow - been using these in my woods for several years now and they seem to really work with my swing. Red works great with my FW woods. Blue/Yellow have been good for driver and FW woods. The Black are great in my hybrids.

I've said for several years now how I wish PX would come out with a HZRDUS line for irons (not just the silver). HZRDUS Black iron shafts would be killer!

True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 S300 - these have been in my irons for a few years now and they're awesome. A bit lighter than the OG's without any loss of that OG feel.

PX LZ are another great option in that 120g weight for the 6.0 flex. A bit more flex in the mid "loading zone" but they also feel pretty damn good.

I'm looking forward to going graphite in my iron shafts this year. Steelfiber, Recoil, Recoil Dart, MMT, etc are all of the high quality and high performance variety. Gonna be a fun Spring!

I went with the MMT instead of the Steelfiber as the MMT felt better for my transition but they are both great shafts.

I had a set of TA1's in the flat black they were like a half inch too long for me, but god damn I probably never hit any other iron better.  This was back in high school and I was rocking MP-14s at the time so it was a good transition at the time.  Really bummed when my dad took them to FL and left them there.  Maybe someday I'll be able to go back and visit them!

I recently got fit into some UST DART V graphite shafts and they felt amazing during testing. They should be put together very soon and I cannot wait to get them on the course!

Great question, many different answers already on here but mine is the Project X LZ 5.5 115g tipped a half inch to get it close to a 5.75 since my swing speed has slowed as I have aged.  Great feeling, flight, and control and have them paired with the 2023 Mizuno JPX Hot Metal Pro's .... fabulous combination!

I loved my Nippon 105 shafts that were in my Mizuno irons. But I recently started using takomo 101 irons with KBS tour lite shafts and have been enjoying the ball flight.

... I am a little surprised that 5 pages in there are only 2 so far that mention Steelfibers. So many of the best ball strikers on the planet use Steelfibers including Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko and JY Ko who hit 63 consecutive GIR, a record that will never be broken. I originally tried to play i95's in stiff flex and they were just too stout. Talking to a rep at the pga show, he had me hit regular i95's and I fell in love. I can't imagine playing anything else.

Favorite for irons is steel fiber i70.  Accuracy is key for a senior player . The SF i70 delivers with a add bonus of added distance

For me I had a set of Callaway X18 with Project X 6.0 Flighted Shafts that have been my favorite but haven't found any shafts that replicate them. Currently gaming Mizuno 923 Pros with Nippon 115 Stiff that I like. Which Project X would make the Flighted Shafts again.

Switched from DGx100 to Mitsubishi MMT 125 tx graphite shafts last year.  Best decision ive made since i went to ventus in my woods a few years back.  Same or better performance.  Soft feel of shafts make my Tm p7mc feel like my old Miuras
