Shot a +2 front 9, with a +8 back 9.... kinda disappointing back 9.  Made a bad decision on 5 and it cost me.  Putting was so so.  Had trouble getting my speed down on the back 9 a bit.

I will throw this one up there.....looks like a good week to play every morning...hopefully can improve.  Driver is getting better...just need to avoid the dreaded double.  Played yesterday, needing par, par to shoot 78.  Nope, doubled 17 and parred 18 for an 80.  Pretty much the same thing today, 'cept I had to start on the back 9, they were spraying the greens - shot a 39 with a 3 putt bogey, get around to the front, had to wait 10 minutes and doubled the 1st hole par 5.  Ended the front with a 41.  39+41=80.  ugh.

Played great today shot 3 under! Love the new Titleist Irons! Unfortunately, the greens had been punched. They were bumpy and slow. However, hit 11 fairways, 14 greens and had 28 putts. Our group won the money game. Blue Tees, rating 69.1 and slope 123.

Good news, broke 100!  Bad news, it was a par 62.  Still stuck close to my handicap on a personally challenging round.  Stiff from coming off of some long travel and trying weekend.  Also decided to try on some new Ecco cleats that I had bought a few weeks back on sale.  Unfortunately the left shoe was just a bit small and caused blisters around the heel.  Felt like quitting on the 9th hole, but decided to press on.  Still managed to hold it mostly together and play better golf until the 15th hole.  Striking was a bit erratic and had trouble on the tee, but scrambling was fairly good.

It was the year's best round, but it could've been better.  It was one of those rounds where I couldn't miss a putt, but the missed GIR killed me from breaking par for the first time. Five birdies and +1 are a waste on a scorecard, but I'll take it.

Easy course or not, you still have to hit the shots and make the putts. Great round!

Holy heck.....look at this card.  Little bit of everything on the front.  2 birdies, double, triple.  Played really well on the back.  Made a couple of good putts on the front....just ho hum on the back.....

My phone started buzzing at 5:20 this morning with people texting if our Tuesday men's league was going to play.  It was drizzling and thunderstorms were predicted.  I said "it's a go!" as it looked like we'd have a break in the rain.  

My prediction was spot on.  We had a few drops that almost seemed to evaporate by the time they hit the ground for three holes and then just cloudy weather (which in Key West is a blessing).  I'm glad we got the round in as I played well.

I've been struggling with my putting over the last few weeks and it showed with my average number of putts above 30.  Today, I had 34 putts, but played and putted really well.  

My fairways in regulation was about my normal 79% with one missing by six inches.  My up and downs for pars was low at 2, but that's because I hit 33% of my greens in regulation!  That's 3 times my normal performance.  I actually hit four of the last five greens in regulation.  That drove my number of putts up.  

I putted well, with most of my second putts being tap in pars or bogeys.  My misses were not by much and I was happy that my pace and direction were vastly improved over the last month.  

Now I have to hope that's a trend and the forecasted rain for the balance of the week doesn't materialize.

I had one of my best rounds this year.  A couple or simple mistakes that cost a few strokes but overall, a very solid round.   My irons were firing at flatsticks all morning. Most were front pins and my distances were locked in. Missed a couple easy birdie putts and the few bogies were 2 mis chips and a putt I left short.

Funny how confidence influences the game. There are days when everything is just so easy and fun. You can hit almost every shot flush. Then there are days that it’s really a struggle. Bounces go wrong and the six inches between the ears get in the way. Ride the confidence ride as long as possible!

Oh absolutely!  I'm trying to get to the point where there are more good days than struggle days!  haha
