Sounds like me when I lose the sense of where the clubhead is and smoothness goes out the window.  I feel disjointed with a jerky swing, like I am jumping at the ball when I lose the feel of the clubhead.

It honestly doesn’t surprise me.  Late in the season I just seem to fall apart.  Rebuild every spring, it sucks.  My distance will suffer now, I’ll probably lose 20 yards per club.  And I have no idea why this happens.

The exact thing happens with me. I have no sense of speed or direction. This is really bad for me since I am a feel player. I believe I have some serious nerve damage due to my accident.

Don't know how you define crazy.  Presidential elections generally have way more turnout than other elections.  Most people voted absentee or early so my lines were short unlike previous times I have voted.   This years candidates are a bit unique, but generally presidential elections are like this.

The wheels have come off.  I really don’t understand it.  Practicing well, playing well. A few weeks ago I felt like I was holding a crowbar, today it felt like I had never seen a golf club before.  I think it is time for a break.  I was trending in the low scores direction, now I can’t find the club face with a magnifying glass.  Changed nothing with my swing, this is so frustrating. 

Happens with me sometimes - like today for example. Kept lifting up and topping all my iron shots.

Days like today I just consider golf a four letter word.

Don't know how you define crazy.  Presidential elections generally have way more turnout than other elections.  Most people voted absentee or early so my lines were short unlike previous times I have voted.   This years candidates are a bit unique, but generally presidential elections are like this. 

Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. My wife and I breezed through. No waiting - nada. As we walked to our car there was a line all the way out to the street.

i mailed my ballot in last week. i wasn’t gonna risk getting stuck on line. they were 3+ hours long around here.

Yea no line issues here, none last time either. Hopefully no chaos ensues after we shall see. Businesses in the city were boarding up the front yesterday, really hope that nonsense doesn’t happen

It is interesting in how other companies (and military) do promotions. I have reached a level at my company where I can’t get a promotion; I have to apply for a higher position. And no, I am not management nor am I at the top level for my job title.

I’m done caring.  They are changing requirements, forcing my “career path” type of people out.  Makes it nearly impossible for me to promote when they ask questions only 3% of the people doing my job have ever seen.

In some instances the person liked moving into a new role, in others they did not and ended up leaving. Some people just like what they are doing and don't want to do anything else, even if it means we can't pay them any more than they currently make.

I still consider myself new to the game, having really started playing in February-March 2017, and you guys have been my golf family since then---so you've gotten to experience some of my growth and frustrations over the past few years.  Most importantly you've been one of my greatest educational sources over those years.

We got to enjoy a great lunch and play yesterday with some guys from our industry (3 of our 4 have played numerous times together, 1 was completely new to the group).  I think it's a good sign when you're the bogey golfer/least experienced in the group and you are the main target for trash talk from the new to the group/scratch player.

Too bad I wasn't a gambling man yesterday.

I don’t disagree with what you are saying and I wasn’t complaining about my position specifically, just stating facts. Job titles/families at my company range from level 1-6. 1 being entry level and 6 being super senior level. If you look across families a 4 is equivalent to a manager 1. You can be promoted via merit/annual review to a level 3 but to become 4-6 you must apply for an open position. That position can be in the same organization. I can’t be moved to another role without a job requisition being posted and going through the application interview process. I can be given more responsibilities but cannot be promoted. Yes there are also salary bands for each position so You can reach a point where You cannot get raises.

Personally I have no desire to move into the management side. Been there,done that and am happy staying in a technical position.

My father was in a similar spot with Lockheed before he retired. He had hit the salary cap for the position he was in so regardless of what he did he could not make any additional pay. Up until he retired, and they called him back to be a "Consultant" and basically doubled his fee  

I do enjoy the extra pay from being in an upper position at my company, but I do miss doing my old work in the warehouse sometimes. I look forward to days where they are short staffed and I "Have" to go out and help...Kept me in better shape when I was out there too. The office added a few pounds.

Did the math.  Currently 1.96% of the people doing my job are in the position they asked questions about.  I’ve never even seen the platform, even from a distance.

Navy did a lot of this. The MR rate was forced out pretty much.

 My rate right when I was getting out was getting transitioned with another rate so the questions to advance were changing and making it difficult for us to advance. It’s the way I suppose

They aren’t merging us or anything.  Just focusing more on the shipboard stuff.  When the majority of us are on land...
 

my GAF is broken.  Just bide my time, 6 more years.
