I hate math... and math hates me! After addition, subtraction, multiplication and division... I'm pretty much done.😁

I can do basic geometry and fractions because I need to in my job... and don't get me started on trigonometry (figuring compound angles)! You guys that understand math are smiled on...lol.

Amen!!! My 8th grader has been asking for help with her math, and all I can say is thank goodness for YouTube!!!! Wow. I struggled with all types of Algebra, business calculus, etc. Anything “abstract” and I was done! Give me geometry so I can see the picture! Totally agree: this who find math easy are smiled upon!!!

My daughter laughs at me when I get mad at a question.... and every time I remind her that I have the only set of keys to the house. 😂

In all the lessons I have taken, no one ever told me that my body is aimed way right of the target until my first lesson today with the head pro at my club. Aiming by body properly is life changing.

If they tell you all your problems in one session, that kind of defeats the need for a series 😁.

I guess so. In about 13 lessons with Golf tec, this issue was never brought up.

I could never figure out why the ball went so far right. Even when I thought i was lined up left, the ball would still come out right of where i expected it to start. I thought i was just hitting the ball with a super open face, and could never figure out why i couldn't square up the face. But it ends up being that the face is square to my body line, which was super right of the target.

When I was a yute in FL (early 60's), my instructor drilled me on making sure my belly button/belt buckle was aimed at the target at conclusion of the swing.  Kind of silly sounding, but I still remember it and watch for it to this day. Yea, one would think somewhere along 13 swing lessons, that issue would be identified. 😕

I have similar line up issues. I swear I am aimed correctly, but more often than not I'm aimed wrong. I don't know how to correct that problem.

My brain doesn't understand it yet. Not sure what your exact alignment issue is, but mine is my clubface is aligned towards the target, but my body is aligned somewhere way right of the target. So far, when i line up the clubface and they align my body, when my brain thinks its correct, then i need to align my body more left, but keep the clubface where it is lined up. In my mind, i think there is no way i am line up correctly, but it actually is. Have been testing it with putting right now because its the same issue for me with putting.

Essentially every part of my game, my body is lined up somewhere to the right of the target but the clubface is aligned square to the target.

This is my issue.  I’ll aim down the left side of the fairway but leave the club face pointed at the right hand side of the fairway.  That equals disastrous results.  A few four letter words and a list ProV1.  I’ve been working on PG 4 letter words, like Nooo and Woww...

Have you tried using an alignment stick/club?  Try taking your stance/set-up, with your club face to the target line you think is correct.  Then without moving your feet, position the alignment stick off the shoe tips and see if it matches.  Another trick/tip is to find a spot on the ground ~2 to 5 ft between you and the target, while standing facing the target, and align your feet and clubface to that (once again, verify with the alignment stick).  Lots of players utilize the "point in between" method to reduce the optical illusion many have issues with trying to align from the set-up stance.

In either case, your belt buckle should be pointed at your aim point if you are making a full turn.  That's why I suggested checking this at the end of your swing.  You can take practice swings and check this.

Correct it's the one and only thing I check when I take a practice swing with my driver. If I don't do it I end up slicing the ball or best case push fade.

I don't really know what I do. I think I'm aimed correctly but I seem to pull the ball left when I think I'm good. If I compensate, I usually go right. There doesn't seem to be a "just right" alignment for me.

i’m bringing alignment up at my next lesson.

last round i played i took a few practice swings, stepped back to visualize my shot, and the grass i brushed with the club was pointed a solid 50 yards left. a few holes later, 30 yards right. i always think i’m lined up exactly where i want the ball to go

i can’t tell you how many well struck iron shots have been way off line lately. good swing, great contact, pin high...40 yards off line.

The other thing is even if my feet are aligned properly, for some reason my shoulders weren't aligning properly with my feet. My shoulders were aligning more towards the right of the target than my feet. I was just an alignment mess.

In my opinion.
It’s near impossible for a GolfTec instructor to work on alignment in any meaningful way with their setup.  You have no reference point in front of you other than s white net. Another reason I’m more happy with my new instructor.

Got paired up with a nice guy today. He was mentioning he got new clubs recently. Saw a VA Slay in his SIM Max hybrid, so I was like, you got fit at Club Champion, right? He said yes. His irons, Oban steel shafts.

Maybe these were the best fit shafts for him, i don't know, but it always seems like there is a high probability that Club Champion fits someone into Obans. I don't really trust Club Champion.

Definitely makes golf harder than it needs to be with all the various setup issues. In my lesson, i asked my new instructor to not overlook any of the most basics setup items, making sure my grip is ok, ball placement, alignment, etc. I basically said don't assume i know how to do any of the basic setup items correctly.

The wheels have come off.  I really don’t understand it.  Practicing well, playing well. A few weeks ago I felt like I was holding a crowbar, today it felt like I had never seen a golf club before.  I think it is time for a break.  I was trending in the low scores direction, now I can’t find the club face with a magnifying glass.  Changed nothing with my swing, this is so frustrating.
