Saw this last night.  Wife didn't know what I was watching.

Wife:  "Are you crying?"

Me:  "Naw, I got some sweat in my eyes and it stings."

Wife:  "The AC is set at 66!"

I always try to remember that I'm not good enough to get mad!

Lived that life for over 31 years. These are great stories and the Military family is the strength of the component they serve. Let me remind everyone that not every service member has a family. Often times they go away alone and return to nothing more than empty duffle bag. If you see a service member in the airport reach out a hand. You would be surprised how welcomed and needed a friendly face accompanied by an encouraging word can be to a lonely Soldier.

 

If you live close to a military installation reach out to the headquarters and offer a service member a seat at your table during the holidays. Every post, camp and station has a holiday program to match families with service members. It will enhance their lives as well as your own.
